THANKS Chef! My hubby lost his mom 4 years ago today, and he asked me this morning to make cornmeal porridge 🥣. It reminds him of her and his childhood. He loved this recipe. Thank you again!
Thank you for the method Chef Ricardo. Do not like too much milk. So i will omit the coconut milk and evaporated milk, just a lil piece of cinnamon stick, scratch of nutmeg, a few cloves...comfort food !
My FAVE! My Ajee made it like this....but no condense milk....she used the skimmed off fat from the fresh boiled cow's milk... and sweetened with brown sugar! YUMMY

It’s me again Chef Ricardo. I have been known to have a heavy hands. What would you suggest a small 2 cup of cornmeal to 3cups of water for a 3 year old for 3 days. I make 2 and a half cups of cornmeal to 4 cups of water and the rest goes to waste because i don’t eat it. Thanks in advance.
I added cheddar cheese to mine. I had no idea this was so much better than grits!!! Omg 😁 P. S. No disrespect to your culture. This is my first time hearing about cornmeal porridge, too. I made enough that I could have a bowl that is sweetened. I had no idea this would be so so creamy. And I didn’t even add butter! Grits need butter every single time.
Thank you so much!!!! I told my hubby I already knew how to make this (I lied) but now I can. Yay! haha

Yeah. There was something about cornmeal porridge and oats porridge that my parents made. We used to call it 'creamy rich'. Fond memories.
Just made this . Added some flax meal. It was very heavy and filling. I did the half cup. My husband and I ate it. Taste good.
My FAVE! My Ajee made it like this....but no condense milk....she used the skimmed off fat from the fresh boiled cow's milk... and sweetened with brown sugar! YUMMY
