You're absolutely right about not everybody can't make cornmeal porage. And not all Jamaican can cook good. I believe in your way of cooking. Manners and Respect 😀👍👌🙏
Funny story: my little one just came to me and asked me to make her the porridge that her grandma used to make for her. I immediately came here… I knew that Ms. Debbie would give me the perfect recipe here…. She’s the reason I can make salt fish perfectly. Thank you so much for the work you do. You’re over here changing lives ❤

Good night Ms Debbie and Camera Girl. I want to say thank you for this video. I don't eat cornmeal porridge but my children did and I use to make it but as I was never shown how I use to make it up and it use to come out lumpy thick but tasty. My mother has dementia and it's getting worse. I wanted to know the basic way to cook it so that I can make it for my grandbabies. (I have four) I'm British Jamaican so all we use to eat was cereal like cornflakes and weetabix we never want cornmeal porridge. I thank you for this video. I hope you have a great holiday manners and respect.

Learning never stops. I thought I had to put cornmeal in the boiling water slowly. sometimes I figured out a way for it to not clump but other times I just sweetened it enough to not care.
🙋🏾okay..7:12minsec you answered my questions, thanks soo much in being thorough. You boil water without and add powdered cinnamon and nutmeg to cornmeal mixture. I got it.

Miss Debbie. I hope you're not going to be offended. But I wanted to correct you and camera girl. The word you wanted was infused. When the spices are infused in the water. Not defused.
@@joyhallunstoppable4307 I think you misunderstood what I'm referring to. I was talking about when she asked camera girl for the word that means the spices were infused in the water. And she said defused. But its not a big deal. I just thought she might want to know what the word was.
