LAY HO MA!! Thank you for joining today’s episode! Is your mouth watering or what?? 🤤
Coconut milk has insanely high amounts of fat and saturated fat. How do I cook this recipe and maintain flavor w/o shooting my cholesterol level through the roof? What kind / brand do you use? Thx!
Omg I have a feeling you'll love Besan Bhindi Masala. I'm Indian, vegan and I love it since childhood.

Is there anything you can't make look amazing??
Salivating heavily 🤤🤤🤤
Usually I just watch recipe videos and never do anything but I tried to recreate so many of your recipes and I’m always so satisfied, can’t wait to try this one as well 💛 thank you!
Thank you so much ☺️ it means a lot 🥳
Wow I always wanted to know how to make this dish as a vegan dish . you are amazing going to try this definitely. Thank you so much I wouldn't change a thing on it
Wil, I like your recipes a lot. I tried the ramen and noodle recipes and they were perfect. Since I'm Indian, I would give a few tips on this dish. First heat the oil and let the cumin splutter and then add in the onions. Cook the onions till they are almost brown. Then add in the tomatoes and spices. Let the tomatoes Cook with the spices until it's mushy then add in your green purée.
I admire the great tips 🥳👌🏻
@@YEUNGMANCOOKING A small thing to add to this is: Garam masala is a spice that is already roasted, so its usually better to add it during the end of your cooking (Usually when the gravy has about 1/2 min of boiling left) :)
U know a staple masala mix for Indian curries is a ground paste of onion, garlic, ginder, chilli n tomatoes. As you r not thorough with Indian style of cooking so u will not be able to use them in order the way we do, so you could puree them together n use. Heat oil, splutter a dry red chilli n some cumin and then add the masala mix (the pureed onion-garlic-ginger-chilli-tomato) n sautee till oil oozes at the corners. It brings out the aroma. Then add the powdered masala - tumeric, chilli powder, cumin-coriander seed powder n saute half a minute. Then add the pureed greens n coconut milk n mix till a bit of grease appears on top or for 5 mins as u say. Add the fried tofu in n give it time to absorb the flavours. Season with salt as per taste n enjoy!!.
Amazing 🙌🏻 will def try 🥳 I admire the great tips

As a Punjabi who are known for their saag and makki di roti it was really interesting to see you veganize this dish!!! Although traditionally I believe we use mustard leaves/greens instead of fenugreek leaves. Some day when I move out and finally can go vegan I will try all ur Asian/Indian dishes!! Thank you so much for this!

Kindly grind the Spinach and add couple of chillis too . Little bit seasme oil while grinding would give silky texture to spinach.

I'm in usa, what can I use instead of Fenugreek?
@@heavenlee1965 Fenugreek is not an essential ingredient. You can either skip it or use dried coriander (cilantro) powder instead :)

Oh thank you so much for making this recipe. I love saag paneer. It's one of the things I miss. This is one I'll definitely be making.
Hope you’ll love the recipe ☺️
It was so easy and delicious recipe. I love it!
This is one of my all-time favourite meals. It's so delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I made this saag recipe today. I used 1 pound of spinach (one container from Costco or the supermarket) as I couldn’t find fenugreek greens. Beet greens would also work as they taste a lot like spinach. I noticed in the photograph that it looked a bit soupy. So after briefly cooking the spinach and letting it cool down, I squeezed out most of the water before putting it into the blender. The saag turned out really good and creamy. I will make again. Saag is one of my favorite dishes at Indian buffet restaurants. Thanks for sharing, Wil!
So awesome Judy and very clever! 🥳👌🏻
Will make this ASAP!
I just made this dish last night for dinner and we both loved it!! Now that I know how to make it, I don’t think I need to order takeout anymore 😅 thank you for sharing this recipe! The tofu addition turned out delicious.

There is a reason we have thrived for thousands of years coz it’s vegetarian food n not vegan !!
Ginger Beer it’s not necessarily consumption of animals but keeping them in horrible places if we make zoo unkempt it can still happen
@@divyasasidharan2960 That's what the western world says about eating meat. And the whole world, including the science community, is finding that a plant-based diet may be the best diet there is for humans' health, for the planet, and ofcourse for the animals. So, please, do think about it, and find out all the ailments we get due to consuming dairy, not to mention how it's unethical and cruel to be taking away milk from other babies.
