RLX Lockout System - Focus ST/RS, Fiesta ST Install

Compatible with OEM shifter assemblies only. Not compatible with aftermarket short shifters.
Not compatible with Ford Performance Short Throw Shifter.
Compatible with all Likewise shifters and extensions.
Compatible with OEM shift knob.
Will require regular grease application as part of normal maintenance.
While all efforts have been made, you may experience an increase in noise and vibration.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
16mm wrench
2 x small flat head screwdrivers
DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1
Unscrew the OEM shift knob.
Step 2
Unclip and remove the shift boot surround, OEM reverse lockout, and OEM spring.
Step 3
Use two small flat head screwdrivers to unclip the black linkage from the OEM reverse lockout. You must unclip both clips at the same time to release the linkage.
Step 4
Remove the OEM reverse lockout and install the RLX. Ensure the RLX and shift boot are both in the correct orientation. The front of the RLX should face the front of the shift boot.
Step 5
Clip the RLX into the black linkage.
Step 6
Insert adapter plugs into the M12x1.25mm Thread Adapter PLUS+ using a flathead screwdriver. Screw all the way to the bottom of the adapter. The first plug may spin freely once it is in the base of the adapter. Thread the second plug into the adapter until it tightens on the first plug. Repeat this process with a third plug if required.
Focus ST/RS - requires 2 adapter plugs
Fiesta ST - requires 3 adapter plugs
Step 7
Insert shifter plugs into the PLUS+ shifter using a flathead screwdriver. Screw the first plug all the way into the bottom of the shifter. The first plug may spin freely once it is in the base of the shifter. Thread the second plug into the shifter until it tightens on the first plug. Repeat this process with a third plug if required.
Focus ST/RS - requires 3 shifter plugs
Fiesta ST - requires 2 shifter plugs
Step 8
Remove any existing grease on the shifter assembly. Apply the supplied grease to the shifter assembly. Slide the RLX over the shifter assembly. Clip the shift boot surround back in place.
Step 9
Install the supplied reverse lockout spring. Install the supplied M12x1.25mm Thread Adapter PLUS+ and tighten with a 16mm wrench. Test that the RLX is functioning correctly.
Step 10
Install the Likewise shifter or extension.
Step 11
Install the RLX lever at your preferred height using the two supplied hex screws. Very minimal torque is required for a tight fit. Do not overtighten the screws.
Step 12
Check that the RLX reverse lockout functions correctly. Enjoy!
