I think it would be cool that when(if) duviri ever comes out, theres a prequel quest that goes into the drifter’s backstory and how exactly they ended up finding the lotus. My theory right now (dunno if theres anything out there that disproves this yet) is that the plains of duviri are in the void, and that’s where the drifter’s zariman crashed and where hes been stuck. I guess when the operator and lotus are sent into the void, they end up there too and the drifter finds them and finds some way to leave the void from that encounter. Also, its interesting that it seems like the operator actually died, and in order to come back, now the drifter and the operator are sort of one entity I think?
Honestly I think your comment is the closest I’ve seen to answering this question. How tf did Drifter who says he’s been “stuck” be able to obtain the remnants of the lotus that was sucked into the void, as well as our deceased operator per being stabbed. So our operator was only able to come back through manifesting himself through drifter. Because in different timelines they are the same person. But once again what is the back story of drifter? If operator was able to escape the Zarriman Ten-0 and the Drifter was stuck how did he escape? And not have the powers that Tenno have. Lots of awesome questions that I look forward to have answered in the duviri paradox 🤌
They basically are in the same time line but at different points of reality. The classes the tennis go through the flashback about eternium etc are lessons about what is, can be or not be. The void can help them "shift" through different places in the "now". That's my understanding of those lessons. Bit of a mind boggles but it's cool
@@tateparker8112 I think the Drifter did not have powers because he is the "US" that did not take the Void powers from The Man in the Mirror.. while the Operator was the one that did. Warframe takes place in a world tgat believes in Eternalism that is why the Drifter and the Operator are paradoxes of each other.
@@smoothopurrator So basically, what you're saying is that they are technically in the same timeline, but different "states" of each other, made when the Zariman incident happened? Also, now that I think about it, all of those Operators collapsing one by one, every single one having a different reaction when we made the deal, makes me think that those were other different "states" of the operator i was talking abt, making the same deal, and having the same experience, but different ways, like with alt timelines in the same point of time having a collective shared moment. This also ties in with the class we had, and how they said that while many different timelines exist, they *might* have the same core main timeline experiences we may be having. And the Void jump they made with the Zariman may have collided with an alt timeline Zariman in the Void, making them exist at the same point in time. Either that was from the cutscene, or it just came off as a theory, but I feel it might tie in with how the Operator and Drifter can exist at the same time without any consequences, because when the Zariman incident happened, both of them had made the same deal at that point in time when the Operator came into play, making me believe that the Zariman may have some sort of memory bond with the void, and when the Operator came into the Zariman once again (maybe idk), making them linked by the Drifter being able to replay the memory of the deal, and making the same deal as well. And since he's an alternate version of the Operator, that means they essentially made a timeline where they both exist, but on different planes of reality, being able to switch places when they want to, this tying into my "different states" theory because the Drifter is, just like i said, a different 'state' of the operator, but essentially the same. He just had to exist on the different 'side' for a while before being discovered by the Operator and being able to make the deal. This is a theory, so be kind as to point things out, and maybe be able to provide evidence if you could, because even I don't fully understand the Paradox and how it happened, besides I'm just an MR8 lol
Think of the Operator themselves as a Void relic where choice is the reward. A Turning Point (the Zariman Ten-Zero) could be viewed as a fissure to satiate said relic. This scene is a metaphor for the Wave Function Collapse.
I stuck with my operator in my opinion the operator (even before we knew the operator existed) is the character I have been playing for almost a decade so I felt like just ditching him for some other version that's done jack for all that time felt kinda sucky I also wasn't sure if the change was permanent and whether I would lose access to amps and such it was kinda unclear. Still for me it was like one version did the years of grinding to get the cool frames and meta builds them some other guy comes along and is like that's mine now. Edit: I am aware you can change it I'm just talking from the point of view of the first choice when it wasn't clear that you could
i didn’t like playing as a “child” so I gladly switched to him, but also hesitated, in my Headcanon atm it’s just my Operator but older 🤷🏻♂️ Also you can Switch anytime after which I think is amazing
@@JodyrJoestar exactly I actually love that I can play as an adult operator. But I can't lie the thought of loosing the child version crossed my mind. Lol

God I really wish we could use the bow in operator form, that would make it unique and valuable as a reward for this quest, as it is the bow and knife surely will be gathering dust in most arsenals
so from my understanding the drifter was not "the man in the wall" and the disturbing man in the wall from last scene after killing ballas is the actual "man in the wall", did I get it right?
The Drifter is your Operator from a “parallel possibility” in which they didn’t get rescued from the Zeramin. It’s what the class room scene about multiple timelines was about. The Man in the Wall is the eldritch entity that lives in the Void. It just takes the appearance of your Operator.
I mainly want them to make the operator clothes available on the Drifter, and vice versa. I have the harrier outfit for my tenno, and I would love to have that jacket on the Drifter, since I'm probably gonna stick to using them.
If I had to choose 1 drifter ability to be made permanent it would be the 1, Giving all operators a free cooldown based heal would be a nice new player helper
So from what I figured out with how time doesn't exist in the void, when young operator got tossed into the void with lotus, the void spat drifter out and they brought lotus back with them. And of course drifter is us from an alternate timeline but they've been stuck in the void
I loved this scene felt natural, seeing the improvement in the quality seeing after so many years, and even changing all the faces and voices of operators and also introducing the adult operators, and my theory was all correct it ain't an operator from future it's a void duplicate, I think the drifter is the actual tenno not the operator, he's a copy of him and the end tease for duviri, Wally Voice actor was amazing ngl, loved this quest and would like to see more consequences of it in the system rather than just a simple bounty and make over, what do u guys think lol!!!
It’s the multiverse theory. There are Infinite possibilities but only on rare occasions does those branches collide with each other. As far as I can guess, if one of you exist and you get sent through to another verse. That verse version of you gets switched over to you. Which leads me to believe the man on the wall is literally the walls of the multiverse. He allows people to “travel” the multiverse at a cost.
@@operator6438 Drifter only got his tenno powers in the new war so he was aging while in the void and our operator was in stasis(second dream) for all these year's
This sets up the Duviri Paradox for the future, and that's really cool. Also, I would've liked if the Drifter kept his abilities when getting the void powers, it was really fun to go around using them.
I don't get it. Why people expect Duviri dimension to appear in the future of Warframe only because the Drifter mentions it? It's like expecting Tony Stark to raise from the dead after people mentioning him in Spider Man: Homecoming. Well, definitely not the best analogy, but still. The Drifter has been in Duviri BEFORE the New War timeline. They got back to this "main" dimension where the Operator is. Yes, they tell about the Duviri where they've been stuck for many years but WHY do you expect it to be a possible next story in the Warframe timeline, I don't understand.
I chose adult operator and Natah. The story was 10/10. The plot twists were really well done, the writing was great and I enjoyed every moment. The only problem I have with The New War is what we do after. There's no new Sentiant missions, no new Railjack missions, no new Star Chart missions, no new endgame things to do... There's only rotating bounties on Fortuna and Cetus to get the new mods, 4 weapon blueprints and 3 warframe parts. There's only one thing to do now and then it's back to the same old stuff again. I honestly thought we were gona get corpus and grineer pve and pvp that would have character and weapon customization and ability cards. Kinda like Battlefield Warframe edition.
This got me. I went with Operator with no hesitation because I was not going to risk losing them. Looking at the scripts retrospectively the story works better with the drifter. But it seems they hadn't quite hashed out the rough areas of the mechanics, given that the Drifter just becomes a reskinned taller Operator at that point anyway.
That's why i put my phone down I beat the new war and I enjoyed it without no spoilers and turned off region chat and QnA when I was doing it I had a blast and I went through alot of emotions and a happy tenno :)
I picked Operator because of how the Operator connects more to what’s been going on more than the Drifter. Like when you think about it, the Drifter was basically pulled out of the Void, somewhat told about all the shit that’s went down and is left to go from there. The Operator, meanwhile, actually lived through these things from the Old War, the Second Dream, the War Within, the Sacrifice, and the New War. The Operator has more of a stake in this than the Drifter as it’s honestly more personal for the Operator. This is the Operators battle, so it’s only right that it is the Operators job to finish it.
The drifter is definitely the cooler person and it honestly reminds me of when I was climbing through early warframe missions. I could go through with explosives blowing up the place or I could actually plan how I do stuff. Each equally as fun but one is way more engaging.
My drifter was wearing a commandeered Grineer chest piece outfitted with bits of Zariman armor, my operator was wearing an all white outfit with circlet as a sign of his devotion to the peoples of the system. It was a wonderful contrast.
I feel bad for the people who did not put the hair on drifter when you first enter orbiter. They really need to fix that. Without the hair you can't even tell if it's you.
DE:"You have to choose here, Drifter or Operator" Me(As an overthinker): Hmm... So far there's been a recurring theme of choosing among 3. This could be like that one hunter x hunter exam where silence is the 3rd choice. I'll wait for a bit. 2 hrs Later... Me: "Damn it fine im choosing drifter"
Did they mean anything tho? We can switch em around. So did appointing lotus/natah or margulis. That was pure cosmetic. It feels weird how u can paint her. The weirdest part of all is how ballas rose to power while in the prev cinematic he was on a leash with erra doing the tugging
Ballas was putting on a show just like Erra. The Lotus, Natah or Marguilis thing did matter as it was irreversible once you picked one, your choices from the New War will matter and will come back to mean something
I remember initially thinking the drifter was an older sibling at first that we were never made aware of. Then I realized that was just an older version of my chsracter.
I can't wait for the drifter to be more than just an Operator variant, he has the potential to become the "modular warframe" I've been waiting for years
The choice probably does matter, as if you pick the drifter the operator is now stuck on the zariman. I think being able to switch between the two is just a cosmetic choice like Lotus, what you actually picked will probably have a impact
I sat and thought about this choice for 30 FCKN MINUTES. I looked at a bunch of sites where they say what the choice affects, and even after I found out, I thought about confirmation for another 10 minutes. Extremely heavy moment
When drift said 'be careful, i wont be back around next time' kindof indicates that Drifter might be the reason how the warframe pulled/broked the sword when shadow stalker infiltrated the Orbiter 'the second dream quest'
This really is a hard choice, when you think this will be permanent: Operator is the OG timeline were we saw it all(second dream, war within, chains of harrow, apostasie, the sacrifice). Drifter had it rough thou the way he talks and moves says it all and the lotus means a lot to him as well.... I went with Drifter because adult me looks cool...
Would be neat if they made the operator and drifter switchable mid combat like maybe one of the ability slots or right stick or left stick to switch. They can equip differently, but maybe let them equip different focus trees too. To counter the spam operator for energy regen focus tree, spam drifter for damage focus tree to let the switch ability have a coold down. Maybe like the archgun deployer cool down.

2:24 I felt this on another level🤣🤣
Had the same reaction even our operators is confused at this point
Mental screaming
I stuck with my operator in my opinion the operator (even before we knew the operator existed) is the character I have been playing for almost a decade so I felt like just ditching him for some other version that's done jack for all that time felt kinda sucky I also wasn't sure if the change was permanent and whether I would lose access to amps and such it was kinda unclear. Still for me it was like one version did the years of grinding to get the cool frames and meta builds them some other guy comes along and is like that's mine now.
Edit: I am aware you can change it I'm just talking from the point of view of the first choice when it wasn't clear that you could
i didn’t like playing as a “child” so I gladly switched to him, but also hesitated, in my Headcanon atm it’s just my Operator but older 🤷🏻♂️
Also you can Switch anytime after which I think is amazing
@@JodyrJoestar exactly I actually love that I can play as an adult operator. But I can't lie the thought of loosing the child version crossed my mind. Lol
I just could not leave drivter like that he worked so hard to get lotus back after he was stuck in the void forever i just had to pull em out
@@deltaprimis3045 @ DannyWongloising yeah not gonna lie I was conflicted as hell as like said kinda felt bad that he was trapped alone for ages then was given a chance to do something then kinda of abandoned, I don't know if it's canon that you can just switch but gathering by the last cutscenes it is so I guess they are both just switching places whenever they feel like having a break
It's still IS the same operator, just in an other timeline
2:23 was just a mood.
Does anyone noticed the change in the pets. The dogs hair looks more realistic and looks way better than before
I noticed that too :O
God I really wish we could use the bow in operator form, that would make it unique and valuable as a reward for this quest, as it is the bow and knife surely will be gathering dust in most arsenals
the bow is literally insane though. will definitely not be collecting dust in a lot of peoples arsenals for sure
The bow goes over 100 crit rate with just one mod tho, I'd say you'll be seeing it a lot.
@@Maciknaw it’s not a AOE nuke-gun like Bramma, Zarr and Envoy so it won’t be used that much.

And if anything, that bow slaps
@@MarcelJ17 AOE guns are not the end all be all of warframe. Guns that can hit funny red numbers? now that’s what we’re talking about
so from my understanding the drifter was not "the man in the wall" and the disturbing man in the wall from last scene after killing ballas is the actual "man in the wall", did I get it right?
The whistling one is drifter. "rap-tap-tap" or "knocking" one is the wall man.
The Drifter is your Operator from a “parallel possibility” in which they didn’t get rescued from the Zeramin. It’s what the class room scene about multiple timelines was about.
The Man in the Wall is the eldritch entity that lives in the Void. It just takes the appearance of your Operator.
That last scene with the frickin totem thing comming out of nowhere was kinda funny to me ngl
Man in the wall is anything it wants to be or has to.
@@ninboy01 i dont understand how he ended up on earth though
it's like:
Drifter = HARD MODE
Operator = EASY MODE
"So, Duvivier happens before or after the New War?"
To answer your question, we have to talk about parallel universes
Time to get phd in quantum mechanics
they literally gave us a lesson about Eternalism in a flashback prior to the plot twist for us to understand this clusterfuck lol
I just hope we get the Operator clothes for the Drifter in an update.
Agreed, i always use the infested outfit for mine, hope i can throw em on my drifter at some point and my umbra scarf...
True! Where are my clothes?! I’m gonna be mad if they make me buy them again.
I wanna put smelter gear on my drifter to go full deadspace.
I mainly want them to make the operator clothes available on the Drifter, and vice versa. I have the harrier outfit for my tenno, and I would love to have that jacket on the Drifter, since I'm probably gonna stick to using them.
@@celphalonred1999 i think its obvious.
Cause we have Zeprhyr deluxe clothes on Operator
If I had to choose 1 drifter ability to be made permanent it would be the 1, Giving all operators a free cooldown based heal would be a nice new player helper
So from what I figured out with how time doesn't exist in the void, when young operator got tossed into the void with lotus, the void spat drifter out and they brought lotus back with them. And of course drifter is us from an alternate timeline but they've been stuck in the void
I loved this scene felt natural, seeing the improvement in the quality seeing after so many years, and even changing all the faces and voices of operators and also introducing the adult operators, and my theory was all correct it ain't an operator from future it's a void duplicate, I think the drifter is the actual tenno not the operator, he's a copy of him and the end tease for duviri, Wally Voice actor was amazing ngl, loved this quest and would like to see more consequences of it in the system rather than just a simple bounty and make over, what do u guys think lol!!!
didn't you pay atention in class? eternalism, multiple realities at the same time both real, both are "operator"
I actually like to belive that both Operator and Drifter are the duality that make up the actual Tenno.
Bruh he said it himself in this cutscene. He is him if he didn't get saved from the void by the orokin.
Damn this is such a great scene! I would replay the quest just to see the utterly confused Operator.
Or you have videos or (if made) your own recording of it..
Finally warframe cussing lol
They have done it for a while, darvo and nora night being prime examples
This sets up the Duviri Paradox for the future, and that's really cool.
Also, I would've liked if the Drifter kept his abilities when getting the void powers, it was really fun to go around using them.
There are a lot of references to the duviri paradox, and duviri itself. The drifter even mentions riding a horse

Oh their is a hologram of Tesish, to honor him

It's visibly to your left as you load in to that part of the quest
Oh, thats why so many stick with that haircut, I was already questioning my taste xD
I'll bet what none of you have noticed yet is that what the older operator whistles in this scene, is in fact the theme from the Duviri Paradox
2:23 is the best reaction for this whole thing. I can hear the operator asking "WTF is happening right now?"
i was laughing at that point of the quest. :D
That reaction and the shit eating grin the man in the wall made as the operator were hilarious
Actually stuck to the adult operator…. Probably because I liked his aesthetics as a grineer survivor
The last choice was more important after the campaign u can actually switch operator and drifter
2:22 is so perfect did the same as i was at that part irl
Best part, once you finish the new war . You can switch between them :)

Me: trying to understand the lore warframe and still being confused.
Fun fact, my operators hair is pink. So was the mother's hair in the picture
What? My Operator is blonde,I didn't notice the hair color. I have to check this out now.
Because pink is a color that gets inherited..
the fact that DE made sure your parents clothing color is the same color as your operator
hats off for this level of detail
I just realized that the drifter is right handed and the smol drifter is left handed
What
I just woke up, open UA-cam and already see spoilers 💔
Those expressions, it was the best scene
So the Drifter and Operator thing is basically hinting Duviri Paradox
The Drifter later on says "I should've stayed back in Duviri" so yeah
so this is a parallel universe of different outcomes of ourselves in that accident
so, from what I could deduce, our operator become a living, breathing Schrodinger's cat?
My drifter was wearing a commandeered Grineer chest piece outfitted with bits of Zariman armor, my operator was wearing an all white outfit with circlet as a sign of his devotion to the peoples of the system. It was a wonderful contrast.
No matter how many times I listen to it I can’t figure out what they’re talking about fir the first half of the conversation
I wish I had been recording it myself, loved this scene with Raven
I feel bad for the people who did not put the hair on drifter when you first enter orbiter. They really need to fix that. Without the hair you can't even tell if it's you.
DE:"You have to choose here, Drifter or Operator"
Me(As an overthinker): Hmm... So far there's been a recurring theme of choosing among 3. This could be like that one hunter x hunter exam where silence is the 3rd choice. I'll wait for a bit.
2 hrs Later...
Me: "Damn it fine im choosing drifter"

Also me but in 2 min i think some1 on youtube maybe doing it so fuk that im choosing
Ngl I couldn't decide so. I flipped a coin. Came up tails so. I went with Drifter
The hair and color on the woman in the picture changes based on the choice for the operator.
For me the drifter in these cutscenes was not ther it was just a floating plate
Man these voice recasts will take some getting used to. Still have "my warframe is strong" stuck in my head
I immediately fashioned my Drifter to look as close as possible to Operator
In the end I picked Drifter
This Drifter feels so much like a chad
Did they mean anything tho? We can switch em around. So did appointing lotus/natah or margulis. That was pure cosmetic. It feels weird how u can paint her. The weirdest part of all is how ballas rose to power while in the prev cinematic he was on a leash with erra doing the tugging
Ballas was putting on a show just like Erra. The Lotus, Natah or Marguilis thing did matter as it was irreversible once you picked one, your choices from the New War will matter and will come back to mean something
Maybe the operator was my character this whole time, but as CY said "it's time to grow up" so I went with the Drifter
Bro took it literally XD
our choices were not important, they had no consequences

Lol at the end you can use them both. DE had me sweating for a moment, like my choice really mattered this time ahah
True i was sitting there for like 5 minutes thinking about it
The choice probably does matter, as if you pick the drifter the operator is now stuck on the zariman. I think being able to switch between the two is just a cosmetic choice like Lotus, what you actually picked will probably have a impact

Walking *Duviri* paradox
I sat and thought about this choice for 30 FCKN MINUTES. I looked at a bunch of sites where they say what the choice affects, and even after I found out, I thought about confirmation for another 10 minutes. Extremely heavy moment
Bro my drifter was invisible I just saw dishes moving on their own and assumed it was a weird void thing 😭
I like the fact he whistles the song from the duviri trailer and makes references to it
When drift said 'be careful, i wont be back around next time' kindof indicates that Drifter might be the reason how the warframe pulled/broked the sword when shadow stalker infiltrated the Orbiter 'the second dream quest'
The Duviri paradox better explain this because I’m confused…
So... The drifter is the version of us that stayed in the void?
This really is a hard choice, when you think this will be permanent: Operator is the OG timeline were we saw it all(second dream, war within, chains of harrow, apostasie, the sacrifice). Drifter had it rough thou the way he talks and moves says it all and the lotus means a lot to him as well....
I went with Drifter because adult me looks cool...
It doesn't really matter.
i just love how awkward this is with the silent pauses
Would be neat if they made the operator and drifter switchable mid combat like maybe one of the ability slots or right stick or left stick to switch. They can equip differently, but maybe let them equip different focus trees too.
To counter the spam operator for energy regen focus tree, spam drifter for damage focus tree to let the switch ability have a coold down. Maybe like the archgun deployer cool down.
This reminds me of the diner scene from Looper where the past and future versions of the hero meet each other
Anyone else noticed that Drifter was whistling the exact music from the Duviri paradox trailer ???
The operator with his reaction to "I'm you who didn't make it out" same reaction as me
2:23 When I saw my operator in this exact pose. I burst out laughing for 3 minuets.
After all this our operator taking void blasts gun shots and burned by the literal sun; still gets 1 shot in most mission types
