- Welcome to Episode 6 of Tabletop Papercraft.
In this series I highlight some of the many paper/card models and producers that can really enhance your tabletop battlegrounds and games or add to your armies at very little cost.
Here we look at Loke Battle Mats and their range of RPG and Wargaming Mats.
A huge amount of products including some rather nice ice and snow covered mats to assemble your miniature armies.

Enjoy!!

Many thanks!! 😁
Hey there! Love your tabletop papercrafts series, always good to find a content creator that touches upon cardstock.
I have a question - how do you make these mats? Do you print the image on regular paper and use a spray adhesive, or on cardstock, or on sticker paper? I tried white glue, but it resulted in warping.
Hi Petycon, many thanks for the comment. These mats were printed and mounted at the local Printing Shop. They printed the designs on slightly thicker paper stock, then fixed to the foamcore with double-sided tape. Next time I shall ask them to use spray adhesive since that has a longer life and better area coverage. For the boards that I print and mount myself, I use cardstock (either 160 or 230 GSM) and then use a combination of double-sided tape and good old standard UHU glue to get a really strong bond. UHU is an amazing glue to use for papercraft!
Why yes I’m well versed in the Hawaiian invasion of Egypt.
Hehehehe
@@IthaquasBane Have you heard of the lost Zulu and Viking wars, or the Aztec Mongolian conflict? 🤣
30" x 30" @ 240 dpi = 24" x 24" @ 300 dpi. For a continuous tone color image, there is essentially no difference in visual quality after you get to 150 dpi, even with detailed images. When you're looking at something like many of these mats, you basically have visual noise, so resolution is almost irrelevant.
Aha question answered :-) That would explain it. Many, many thanks for the help. Hope you enjoyed the video.
Very small no good for my games
6'x4' is too small?? I'm very envious of your gaming table in that case :-)
