Finally you’ve done reaction to polyphia! We need more 😎🫣👍
Polyphia is incredibly good! Please check Playing God, Bloodbath (feat. Chino Moreno from Deftones) and Ego Death (feat. Steve Vai)👍👍👍
And O.D.
banger recommendations, Id also suggest O.D. and Euphoria
and 40 oz@@stephendavis5481
You're spoiling us with these wonderful choices in the channel hahaha! I totally relate to your first exposition to Polyphia: I was also blown away when I heard this tune for the first time. My favorite by them is probably " Playing God" and their collab with the guitar king Steve Vai in the song "Ego Death" is also a must listen. Keep rocking, man! :)
Playing God is fucking smooth. Polyphia are goated
2nd worst band in the history of music right here. Right behind greta van fleet for worst ever
"Too short" I love it.
I was already into a few instrumental bands like AAL but had never "officially" heard of Polyphia until I saw Tim Henson on Jared Dines "Greatest Shred Collab" several years back and was kind of blown away by his playing style which I had never seen before. That led me to his channel which then led me to Polyphia where the first two songs I heard were 40oz and THEN G.O.A.T. I've followed them kind of religiously since then as their play-style has definitely had an influence on the type of music I try to compose now in my spare time.
My first intro too. I thought he was just one of the many talented youtuber guitarists until youtube algorithm got me on watchin great guitarists and threw this song up. A nice effect is that my daughter wanting to learn guitar went from hardly playing a chord to learning songs from bands like SOD. Got me to try to learn new techniques and am working on beating 30 years of muscle memory. It inspired us.
Ego Death is a MUST if you are going down the rabbit hole
EGO DEATH, with Steve Vai, is OUTSTANDING
I would recommend Ego Death next. If you want some vocals, I'd recommend Bloodbath.
Hell yeah
Now watch Playing God Unplugged with Tim in the studio, you are guaranteed to be left dribbling
Too short? Gotta be Ego Death feat. Steeve Vai next, then ;)
GOAT probably took a lot of people by surprise with that tone shift in their music (but in a good way). That's when they went from a bit of a guilty pleasure to one of my favourite bands.
Btw, I do listen to songs like The Audacity from them in the gym ^^
It's just more fitting for speed work and technique drills than heavy lifting.
💪🏻🤘🏻
Listening to Polyphia is like: why haven't I heard this before?
Be sure to check out the bands/artists Chon and Owane, favorites in the math rock and fusion genres respectively.
FINALLY someone who listens to the whole song without pausing! "too short" is the most accurate reaction ever haha
Dont forget about SOEN, Opal.
Checkout Aviator by Polyphia, earlier song with Jason Richardson on guitar also
You found them about the same time as me. It's leading down some pretty amazing musical rabbit holes for me. Love the reaction, love to see more.
Thank you for not pausing it a hundred times, but instead letting it play fully! Need more of this in reactions!
This was my favorite song of theirs until they dropped Playing God. An absolute must listen and just on a whole other level.
Yeeessss more polyphia!
I think Tim Henson literally wrote this song just flex so there’s a lot of stuff in it which is really hard for him to play, but he was just trying to show off how good he was on guitar😂
AND JUST LIKE THAT IM BACK IN THE KITCHEN, CHOPPIN AND DROPPIN
Hey great song I'm adding it to the chopping playlist immediately. Sorry I haven't been active lately. I love hearing new music and I feel like I can trust your channel. You've always come through with good new music
Oh snap! Hot damn. Next from these guys: Playing God, Chimera, Bloodbath, Ego Death
BROOO welcome to the world of POLYPHIA..THey have a sound you've never heard before..also react to EGO DEATH ft the legend STEVE VAI..my favourite so far brooo.. unbelievable emotional🙏💯💪
❤❤❤
Would love to see a reaction to First Fragment Gloire Eternelle 👌 keep up the good work
He'll yea. I'm a tech death junkie but they leave me exhausted after a couple songs. It's just so dense.
Definitely recommend Playing God and Ego Death next . The musicality is just on another level 💯
chek also the previous album( the worst) is a masterpiece
Yes they are crazy 🔥😎Great Reaktion my Friend ✌️
Thanks my friend 🤘
My daughter went from pop to guitar based stuff with this band being a huge influence. I am a guitarist of over 30 years stuck in an old school metal playing style that now I am expanding out more. As other guitarist have said, it is not that this is above me technique wise, it is a different way of playing and I am stuck in an old mind.
This is a great song but the true intricacy is lost on the general audience. My "introduction to Polyphia" four song list would be: Yas, Goose, 40oz and Playing God. People will find other songs better based on their personal tastes but these four are probably the best general audience songs and Yas is a very fun music video.
PROTEST THE HERO would be a great addition to the channel
Looking slick with the salt and pepper hair matching the shirt
😂 thanks brother
My brotha you need to check out a band called Cattle Decapitation. They will be in Sydney on September 15th! Go check them out! They are from my hometown San Diego, California!
Do more polyphia
Please do more from them.
Playing god is a must!! Also the unplugged with Tim Henson is to die for
Here are three more bangers
Playing God
O.D.
Reverie
ASTERISM next. Japanese Polyphia.
waiting for the playing god reactions!!
Love Polyphia. Please also check out DISCIPLE by The Warning.
Check out O.D. by them ! 👍
This band is technically amazing. Some of their songs fall short. This one is a banger!!
React to Clayton King - Equivalent Exchange (Playthrough) this one bussin hard as hell maaaan
Team EARLY CHOPPY DROPS for the WIN..!!! Nice... they got the chop...
Haha we dropped this a little earlier than usual! #TEAMEARLYCHOPPYDROPS
Thanks again....love the react vids..
It's great that you're discovering more progressive music. Would love to see your reaction to King Crimson or Liquid Tension Experiment.
you should check out korn shoots and ladders make you think twice about singing a nursery rhyme to your kid. G.O.A.T. polyphia what a incredibly talented group of musicians
Since you seem to like chunky goodness I seriously recommend the track Bloodbath off of their newest album RTYWD. It even features Chino, the vocalist of Deftones. I love your energy towards new music - Keep up the good reactions :)
5:30 here...great way to start the day... thanks bro.
Kickin the day off with some good music 🎵🎵🎵
Check out born in dissonance by meshuggah .....chunk city brother ....love the channel by the way 👍
Chimera by them is too dope not to check out.
Very good... Another good instrumental band... Asterism - church, try.
Please react to Lamb Of God - Live at download festival 2007. You would like this
Best one is chimera for me
yelling "TOO SHORT TOO SHORT" at the end of this song is the only proper reaction for a first listen.
Another fun instrumental band is Chon. You should give them a try.
I love this song, but the problem is the mixing is terrible. There is so much happening on guitar and you can't hear it over the other instruments. So if you want to hear how cool the guitar sounds, check out the cover of "G.O.A.T by Polyphia Xlezzy". It's on my channel.
Would love to see some reactions to it.
Instrumentals. Try Angel Vivaldi
Polyphia, and more specifically Tim Henson, excel at jamming an insane amount of technique into 3-4 minutes of a song max.
Bloodbath
Your faces were fine, we could see the music reaching you.
Watching kid Prince reincarnated eh?
Even my 8 Yr old grand-daughter thinks its fantastic!
Welcome to the Rabbit Hole !!!! It just gets better from here ...
X
You can see the early stages of stank face as soon as the video starts. Please like to help contribute against this 😢
If you ever react to another one I would 100% recommend "Saucy" and "Yas". Those are my two favorite songs they have made but I honestly like every single track they made lol
