@@SL_BA we would certainly love a locals perspective! Will keep that in mind. Our goal someday is to hit TN, LA, Georgia and Florida on a 3 month trip one day. So many great places to still explore! And be sure to let us know when you come to Northern California. - g
The sounds you hear at night are incredible and the wild life around there is so cool. The day we went there were a lot of snakes coming up on the beach area but they didn't bother you😅.
We love Rock Island State Park! We used to live about 30 minutes away. It was our go to State Park for sure :) I do love the night sounds at the campground.
There is a lot to see in TN. I now realize my upcoming trip is to short to all the sights you two have highlighted. This campground looks great. You know the kayaks always come with me when I'm towing the rig. Nice job.
I really think you would enjoy Rock Island State Park. It is a wonderful and easy kayak trip to Twin Falls. The put in and take out spot is the same location so you don't need two vehicles. Rock Island is really close to a lot of other locations you may be interested in. If you have some free time be sure to get in touch with us. ~ Scotty
Hello friends! Yes, Rock Island is a great campground. But, I have to say I haven't been disappointed in any of our Tennessee State Park Campgrounds :D
I think there are kayak rentals right outside the state park. It is one of my favorite state parks. I enjoy hiking in the gorge below the dam around Great Falls. Kayaking up to Twin Falls from the sandbar is a great adventure. There are several rivers to kayak within 20 miles of the state park. Fall Creek Falls State Park is not too far away.
Would have been a lot better video and MUCH more useful to a whole lot more people if you had also included ALL of the tent sites. Not everyone out here is an RV'er.
Thanks for watching 😁 We love tent camping also, I wasn't trying to exclude tent campers. The day we recorded this there was only one tent camper in the back circle. To me, there is something a little more private about tent camping in the off season, and I didn't want to intrude in the back circle with just one camper. If it had been full, it would have been different. We captured about half of the tent sites, shared all of the tent area ammentities, and suggested ideas of what to do at this beautiful Tennessee State Park. You will not be disappointed camping at Rock Island State Park. Hopefully you can find another video that shares the sites you are looking for. Happy Camping! 🙂
We loved our time in Tennessee and look forward to going back and exploring more. Ya'll have amazing state parks! And they're free! How cool is that!
We also can't wait until you make it back to Tennessee . We hope to be able to show you guys some of our favorite places.~Scotty
Can’t wait to REALLY explore your backyard! Looks like they have some GREAT State Parks! Great video!
Let us know when you are coming. We will make sure we have some free time to show you around. ~ Scotty

Hey guys great video. Does the bathhouse have hot water in the showers?
Yes it has hot water. Thanks for watching.
