You use one finger per note. But sometimes you use 2 fingers to play 2 notes at one time. These are called double stops because you are stopping 2 strings.

The like the piano,, but the violin needs a really long time to sound "good".... And you can hear my piano up to the 4th floor..... Would you recommend a silent violin? It's supposed to be half as load as a regular one..? Lg :)

@@Violinspirationyes, i was just trying to compare it to a piano which i know is apples and oranges but if you have a 76 key piano that would have a little over six octaves i was just trying to see what the range was on the violin which seems to be four ovtaves based on your answer four seems like the lower end of range for string instruments correct me if i am wrong

My mom must be a sadist to let 6 years old me learn violin, the most difficult learning instrument. Seeing this video after 20 years, I give up the idea of relearning it

why does the g sharp and an a has the same hand positioning?
The don't have the same hand position. The G# and the Ab do though.😊

Do you mean playing positions? If so there are 8. and on the violin, scales and arpeggios can go for one, two, three, or sometimes four octaves.
