It's amazing how you make it look so easy. I see this and then I open my Maya and I spend 10 hours trying and in the end it gets bad, then I screw up again 😆😅
Really great video! It's absolutely important to work in a logical back-and-forth method to make sure things are working together well. There are way too many things to consider when you work ONLY in blocking and then ONLY in spline. You save yourself a lot of headaches by spending more time in this layout phase to make sure things generally flow well. As a result of this, it's like a chain reaction in your animation later on and pulls everything else together for a stronger performance overall. Keep up the awesome content, really appreciated!!
@@acamporota A sphere pass is when, during the blocking stage, you only set a few key poses (not all!) then you create a sphere (a ball), make it the size of the hips of the character, place it inside the character, give it the same keyframes as the character, then you hide the character, and you animate the sphere. You animate the sphere in auto tangent pretending that it's the COG of the character. That way, while your character is still in stepped tangents you'll know how the character is supposed to move.

Thankyou so much for this video! It’s like perfect timing because I was facing similar issue with my walk to run cycle today.

Thank you sir❤️
Hi any idea on how to animate a pendulum, I am a beginner trying to learn the principles. Any great tutorial to check out
Wow! Very usefull video! ( come al solito ;D )
I have a question. If you do a layout pass, do you still need to do a sphere pass later?
What is a sphere pass

Is there a particular reason not to animate the global controller?
Feet sliding...and overall not advisable if you work in games or certain production
