Sir,...may I ask if you are saying....drawing key poses in a reference video helps......I don't get the point.. This activity seems the same as copying reference.. You recommend trying to understand things included in each poses(contrasts, line of actions) by drawing, not just copying in 3D envrionment? So 'point' is Hand-Drawing yeah?
Some people copy references without understanding the mechanics, and then the animation looks bad... Drawing over can help you to understand more the mechanics
