It's a no brainer for me. Having HomeKit and HKSV is worth the extra bucks. But that Wyze v3 has a lot of potential if they can release RTSP firmware. It'll be an awesome outdoor cam to have in HK.
For sure, the HomeKit support is great. Here’s hoping one day Wyze will support HomeKit 🤞🏼 I’d pay more than $20 if they had to raise the price to support HomeKit
@@AdamsTechLife If they were smart they made v3 with HK hardware compatibility. I'm sure one of many reasons that v2 didn't have the hardware compatibility was it didn't have full-duplex audio which I think v3 does so fingers are crossed they can move a step forward to the dream.

Really great review of both of these cameras. I have the Wyze cams in my house but will switch to Eufy soon. Wyze just seems to have given up on their ecosystem or implementing any community requested features that other basic cameras have. Their app is also really bad and takes a while to load anything. Wyze seems to be vearing out of the home security space and into other weird areas like vaccums or earbuds, lol. Eufy is more expensive but you get better quality cameras AND they don't put critical features like alerting or person detection behind a subscription paywall like Wyze does. Also Apple Homekit is HUGE!

@@AdamsTechLife I've found I get pretty nasty glare from both of the Eufy 2k and the Wyze v3, but only at night when the infrared lights are on. I even have screens in my windows and those don't even affect video quality too badly. The night/color vision on the Wyze V3 is amazing. I'm just not keen on paying for that subscription...
I was using a Wyze V1 camera pointed out my front window for person detection and it worked great. After Wyze announced a fee for person detection, I switched to the Eufy Indoor 2K. To date, Eufy has not picked up a single person detection alert. I think the issue is the glass window because if I use Eufy inside the house (not through glass), it picks up person detection just fine.
Just an FYI for someone thinking of using the Eufy 2K Indoor cam pointing out a glass window. I'm not sure if the Eufy can be remedied for glass as my understanding is it uses PIR sensor for motion rather than pixel analysis.
Edit: Just saw Rodrigo's post below indicating the same experience.

@@AdamsTechLife My Wyze v3 has been doing a great job picking up motion through my front window, which has a screen in it. The Eufy 2k was doing great also until earlier today when I had to restart it. The other Eufy 2k I'm trying out another part of my house is still doing great detecting people through a glass window with screen with no reset required.

@@Underdog271 Yep, I still really like mine. Just put the cameras as close to the glass as possible so you don't have a lot of reflections coming in from behind the camera at night when lights are on inside.

I have my eufy in a window looking at my driveway and sometimes it will not detect persons do you ever run into that problem? its random but annoying. great review man.
Hello Rodrigo, thanks for your comment. I have experienced it not detecting a person before but not in a window. I have tried restarting the camera, turning off/on motion detection and that seems to work. Maybe a possible glare from the window has something to do with it? And thank you!
@@AdamsTechLife I had the same problem today actually and a restart from within the app seems to have fixed it. Still annoying that it failed though, especially since I've only had it set up for a couple days.
Rodrigo, my Eufy 2k cameras don't do well with motion detection through window screens. I moved my front yard camera and it's doing GREAT now, where rarely ever triggered by before. The screen was catching too much glare from the sun.

I haven’t used the Wyze 3.0 but I have used the 2.0 and the eufy indoor cam. I have a video comparison on my channel about those two cameras :)
WYZE v2’s are giving me problems software wise. Purchased CAMPlus subscription which should record sound, person, and motion detection with unlimited time capacity. Now it’s just recording Motion only in 12-15 second clips. Customer service is only showing one camera licensed. My app shows 6 cameras licensed (which is what I paid fir). Put in a submission log, and haven’t heard from them in weeks. Beyond disappointed. Had the Wyze V2’s fir a while. Will be trying the Eufy’s

@@AdamsTechLife Not only did I submit the log, but I talked to them via phone on my initial ticket. Haven’t had “Person” detection in weeks. Again, Eufy’s are on the way, just ordered this morning. Just too many software inconsistencies from WYZE.

I'm so torn! I love that Wyze has such a HUGE ecosystem (sensors, doorbells, LED lights, cameras, etc.) but it really does seem like the Eufy is better based on this video.

I have 2 Wyze cameras and I'm switching to Eufy. Terrible software glitches on Wyze Pan cam, and if you don't pay the monthly fee/camera, it's worthless! Both PanCam and regular Wyze cam trigger continuously, so with the 12 sec/5 min cool down, it misses a lot, and searching for a fleeting figure in the replay gets missed easily. I paid for the Cam Plus on my PanCam, and it helped, but after I retrieve footage from an alert, and the camera goes back to stand by, it screws up and starts triggering continuously. Frustrating. The night vision on the Wyze is pretty bad and needs to be close--15+ feet won't show much of anything identifiable. Eufy just outshines Wyze, IMO.
MY QUESTION TO ALL USING APPS FOR HOME SECURITY, FITNESS/SMART WATCHES, ETC= Do these apps and all their sensitive data run through China? I have to ask, because I can barely find a couple of smartphone apps from Korea that don't, ALL the rest--all the rest -- have their data going through China? Think about that for a minute.
@@kazart4772 fwiw, the new Wyze v3 cameras have outstanding low light/night vision. I'm pretty impressed by them.
@@POTheta001 I know they do, and almost upgraded my Wyze, but this video, plus my research, shows too many Eufy advantages over Wyze. It's a lot of factors , not just the older cameras.

Yes, that feature is standard across all smart home security cameras. Your cams and base need to be online to view the feed remotely.
@@AdamsTechLife I don't have a base station for either camera and I can see them both when I'm away from home...
The eufy wired cams don’t need a base station
Ezviz C1C is better than these. Except iCloud for free, but 4 or more cameras for $10 a month

I use the Eufy in my windows to record everything happening in front and the backyard of my home so I don't need outdoor cameras. That makes it worthwhile for me.

This is old yet.. I have both.. I like the eufy better yet it NEVER takes the Wyze 20s to send notification. Its a tad slower yet fast. Oh the Wyze "COMING" its 2022 and those are STILL not there haha so paying extra is NOT WORTH IT
