Sir, can I tell you- I have picked up and put down the uke several times (but clearly not enough) for the past 8 years but I can’t get freaking strum patterns down. Every time I pick it back up I come back to THIS tutorial because it is THE best. Could you do me the most sincere favor and tell me what your strum pattern is for the first 30 seconds? Oddly enough I can get the strum for the next part. It would mean the absolute world to me. To be able to actually play ONE song. Seriously would mean more than you know! I’m trying to slow mo it but my eyes can’t keep up with the up downs of the first 30 seconds. With sprinkles on top? Thank you so much!
Philip Page not really. haha. but thank you anyway, Philip Page He uses 2 or 3 different patterns, isnt that right? the first one i cant figure out...the rest of it is okay. thank you from Brazilll.
is there a way you can find out the chords for this song called "Fall in love"produced by J Dilla sung by Slum village. if you could play it on the ukulele that would be dope!
No, woman, no cry; No, woman, no cry; No, woman, no cry; No, woman, no cry. 'Cause - 'cause - 'cause I remember when a we used to sit In a government yard in Trenchtown, Oba - obaserving the 'ypocrites - yeah! - Mingle with the good people we meet, yeah! One more time I got to say: O little - little darlin', please don't shed no tears; No, woman, no cry.
The reason why it's difficult to explain the strumming pattern is because it's mostly by rhythm and feel. Play around with it and try to get a feel for it.
Hes putting his pinky on the 3rd fret of the 4th string as he plays the g chord. The sound of the regular chord playing, and then hammering on with his pinky makes that lovely sound. That's what I think anyway
I want to play like this.
Thank you !
from Japan
2:18 is a subtle gem in the song!
Yeah, that hammer on makes the whole song cooler!

Excellent. The A minor chord here functions as C6! Nice!
Kevin Edward Dolan not quite :) ... the Am is just an Am... but if you lift your finger and play all 4 strings open you get Am7 which is also C6.
El struming puede ser abajo,abajo,abajo,arriba
How do you do that little hammer on the G cord with your little finger at 2:18 - it's incredible but can't figure out how you do it.
I have the same question, could you figure it out?
The reason why it's difficult to explain the strumming pattern is because it's mostly by rhythm and feel. Play around with it and try to get a feel for it.
Okay, jetzt nur noch das Schlagmuster zu den Noten und es ist perfekt. Würde mich sehr darüber freuen.
leider leider bekommt niemand eine antwort. das ist schade, würde es die sache doch leichter machen
Now if only I can figure out the fingerstyle plucking Andrew Foy does in his incredible version....
Boa noite!Ensina a batida
ich kann das strumming pattern nicht erkennen. Kann mir das jemand schreiben ? nur das am Anfang !
Wow! Awesome. Thanks for that. Helped me a lot.

Mu strummin patern :

Hammer on and off on the middle finger I thin.. sort of a blues type thing?
Strumming patterns?
Sick man !! Nice playing 🤙🏽
Whats the strumming patternnnn??
where do you jump in and sing?
how do you do the hammer on and pull off so clearly
Use a felt pick and it's easier to pull off. Hand strum isn't gonna cut it unless you have decent nails.
Love it
How do I order this dvd?
does he hammer + pull off when he do the g?
hey bro, excellent video...

Not that helpful as the chords changes are being displayed as they are being played rather than at least a bar before.
