I met Bob Marley on 19 September 1980 in New York City at Madison Square Garden, when my friend sent a poem I wrote with his lyrics and he wanted to meet me. Probably one of the best day of my life!
Was a preacher and his preach lives till the end of this injustice ended!! We are the children of love ,all of us ,but one of us don't know yet!! Love you all brothers and sisters ❤
Something's are hard to contextualize. Bob died aged only 36 years only. Yet 41 years later he's still a legend. Nobody, has outdone him in reggae songs. He was truly sent from above. Rest in power Bob.
Today my little sister and I celebrated my mom's 65th and last birthday. She has stage 4 cervical cancer and the doctors told us she has 3 weeks to live. I am broken yet this song (her favorite song) speaks volumes, "No woman no cry" "Everything will be alright". Love you mom, still here with you ❤️
We just crossed over into the new year and after a prayer I played this song for my mom. I couldn't help but shed tears, then as the song ended my mom with the little strength she had in her voice said to me "now we can go to sleep...and she rested" Love you Mom.
My favorite Marley song is No woman, No cry! Bob was sent from heaven to bless the world with his anointed talent and make a timeless musical impact that transcends race, religions, politics, cultures, ethnicities, and age. He and his music connect and unite the world in one love. His children, even from different mothers, live out his amazing legacy as one family. Bob once said he's African first, then Jamaican, but he belongs to the universe. His critics are ignored by the millions of fans. Too bad his own father didn't want to get to know him.
I knew and had my life changed by a very special man, who brought Bob into my and my family's lives, and then he became family to us, my stepfather. He was special like Bob. He wanted to spread the love and make all of us one big Rasta world, not necessarily literally but just in spirit. Sharing and connecting. I understand what you mean by "sent from heaven". Like Bob, he was taken young, far too soon.
As someone who is of jamaican origin i grew up listening to bob ut took it for granted now im a adult and can really appreciate him and realise that he was a prophet. He's not just singing he is channelling. Rest in power KING ❤

No woman no cry" "everything is gonna be allright".

I've been a big fan since 1977, tis man was so in tune with my soul,...he is an pure person who cared about every person & creature living. Marley is the kind of guy that you never met in your whole life but through his song you can feel that he spoken to you from the heart that you feel that you've known him and know his journey all his life
I went to St.Thomas VI. after Bob had passed in 81' on my honeymoon. Everything was closed. I mean these people were crying in the streets. God bless each and everyone of them. Bob Marley was a saint all by himself!😢
My Mum and Dad loved him. I love him too. He brings us hope and happiness from beyond the grave. 43 years later and he still spreads the message of joy. One of the last items i have from my Dad after he passed away is a record of exodus. An old vinyl. Just like to think that is away that my Dad wanted to let me know to be happy. Silly, yeah. But i nice thought to have. Bob Marley died 7 years before i was born, and he stayed relevant throughout my life. Long live his message ti the world.
I wish everyone that listen and appreciate this legend "Bob marley" can have calm, health, peace and love in their days everyday, he's a teacher of life, hope we can learn how to live with peace
Rip BOB I love and miss you, I know you singing with angels now Thanks so much sweetie for all of your beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful music ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊 you’ll never be forgotten!
Love how he began the song next to his wife, Cuban-Jamaican queen Alpharita 'Rita' Anderson. The chorus singer in the middle. Mother of Ziggy. This is beyond singing. This is channeling the Great Spirit. The source of all that was, that is and that will ever be. Rest in Power prophet.
He is singing this song to Rita w so much apology. You see it in his body language. You hear it in his words. You watch it in his face. He even opens his eyes for a few of the words, when usually his eyes stay closed.
This performance of this astounding song is astonishing. Its almost ecstatic. I am not religious particularly - but it honestly seems like you can almost feel his soul, his hope and his love for humanity reaching out.... its incredibly powerful... the only other performer I ever saw come close is Al Green - you could feel love radiating from him too.... another man, like Marley, who felt touched by god (just a different one)... love unites us all
Agree with you about Al Green. You can feel their love radiating off from them. Not religious but I believe they were both God-sent to us all. Bless you
I was a young man when Bob Marley passed. His music became a part of who I was then, and who I would become... 40 years have passed, yet the message remains strong.
Me and my wife just got home from Jamaica. Our second trip. This legend is such an inspiration to his fellow people there. And to people around the world.. yea man
A true classic and music heritage! My late father, who now lives with Christ in eternity, liked this song. This beautiful song was re-recorded in Brazil by Gilberto Gil and was a huge success! Upon hearing it, tears appeared. Father, miss you! Pai, saudades!
Greetings! What matters the most is the love and appreciation you shared with him, because that stays there forever. Mr. Gil's tribute is very beautifully arranged, a touching and authentic version of this iconic piece. I particularly liked the way he performed it at the United Nations HQ :)
If only words could be found to describe the beauty that lies in this song. The passion he puts into it, the meaning of the words, the traveling down memory lane, the encouragement to go on despite the difficulties of life, the capturing of losses incurred during life, the hope it inspires. There is hardly a human in this world that will listen to this song and not relate to it in some kind of way. I shall leave the rest for better tongues to tell.
Wow you left us all speechless with that comment of yours. I remember hearing this song when I was visiting my relatives in Sudan and seeing the hardships and difficulties of my people down there. Bob knew and everybody who is been will know what this song means. Thank you so much.

No woman no cry" "everything is gonna be allright".
My favourite Bob Marley Song. ❤️
The man has been gone but his art lives on forever. This is one of the best songs of all time!
He is still with us, truly.

Marley is the kind of guy that you never met in your whole life but through his song you can feel that he spoken to you from the heart that you feel that you've known him and know his journey all his life
Cool and calm man
Never.
He lives and all these comments speak to that. Fact.

I didn’t think anyone could put another twist on this theme but man you are 💯 % right also!!!

This music is so beautiful, I love bob Marley. He is a genius with yours songs.
Like Elvis
Amen to that brother 👍👍
I went to St.Thomas VI. after Bob had passed in 81' on my honeymoon. Everything was closed. I mean these people were crying in the streets. God bless each and everyone of them. Bob Marley was a saint all by himself!😢
Genius, Bob Marley was in a league unsurpassed
Agree.. once in a 100 years talent! Respect Bob
Nah not silly at all!!
Marley is really feeling deep about this song while singing it. He's souls is gone while singing. He's in spirit
This person will never die in the hearts of all peoples of the world. I love you Bob Marley
1:00 - Beautiful
I was born in 1992 and for some reason every single time I listen to Bob I feel like I've met him already and I understand his feelings
I wish everyone that listen and appreciate this legend "Bob marley" can have calm, health, peace and love in their days everyday, he's a teacher of life, hope we can learn how to live with peace
Someone writing that is a good person. Wish you all good in life.
Someone who understands better you know,
To explain to me what the message is ...
Cause it's magical,,,,hidden 💯💯🔥
You just can't beat listening to some uplifting Bob Marley classics to make you feel good. Utterly timeless.
That was the best part for me, I believe. Much respect.
Salute mnr. Marley
He was living with a white woman at this point 😂
He is singing this song to Rita w so much apology. You see it in his body language. You hear it in his words. You watch it in his face. He even opens his eyes for a few of the words, when usually his eyes stay closed.
@@user-tc2or2so1y He was living with a white woman at the time, the song was for her
This performance of this astounding song is astonishing.
Bless you
Man when a live song sounds even better than original studio recorded. This man was truly special... I wished I met him in life... wow!
Happy Heavenly Birthday Reggae King!! Long live Jamaica!!❤❤❤
Legend. Absolutely one of a kind. Never forgotten. His lyrics will always mean truth!
