Question of the Day! 💡 Are you creating content with your phone? Let us know! *** Get the SmallRig Universal Video Rig Kit for iPhone HERE ➡️ amzn.to/3iiqIDq
Yes we do. We do a show about raising a rare breed of dog name a Hovawart. First season was rough just holding iPhone XS in my hand. This new rig looks so user friendly. Not sure if it is appropriate to post link here. So I'll let Think Media look us up and if they want to give us a shout out, that would be appreciated. Just found these guys a week or so ago and the channel is packed with "REAL", down to Earth videos that makes sense. Not just video trash to boost their subs. Go Think Media!
Yes. i have a viedo company that i want to start. i have a few videos up. but would like to be appear more professional. The Mic with the mic cover does sound a lot better.
The antidote to anxiety is action. May this be a sign to go do that thing. Press record. Edit that footage. Make that thumbnail. Engage with other creators. May all your worries wash away and all your UA-cam dreams come true 💗 Dr. Liz
This is a pretty sweet rig. If you were to assemble it separately from all the pieces you might end up spending close to that amount anyway. To add in the light, power bank, the mic, all the adapters, and a tripod, you could end up spending over $100 on stuff that is not quite as well-made. I have built a similar setup for myself, but the frame is not as sturdy and it doesn't have handles.
To all you small youtubers reading this, just the fact that you are here means you are trying to improve and you are in the process. Just never give up, you will make it too :D
I remember when smallrig used to be a small company only making cages for cameras. They've come such a long way and make some of the highest quality camera gear.
I was born with one hand, and create content as well as vlog with my one hand sometimes on my iPhone or Canon and would love a piece of equipment like this. This review showcased all the bells and whistles that comes with the kit. Will look into it soon! Great Vid 😎
@@ThinkMediaTV thanks for all your tips and advice you guys offer! One of the best channels to watch and learn how to grow your channel authentically. Thanks so much!
There’s definitely a huge difference in audio you can’t tell when recording but when rewatching what you recorded you can tell the audio is more clear a little bit louder and the background wind noise is almost completely gone
Holy moly that video kit looks DOPE! 🔥 I shoot all my video on my Canon M50 with a gorillapod but if I were filming with my smartphone, I would totally use that stand. I mean, it even looks intimidating!
The smallrig mic was way better in my opinion in both. This video just convinced me to buy this rig. It has to be easier than the video I tried to make with just a phone leaning on a box, lol.
There is a decent difference and think the mic would be handy. I think I need this kit! Because I have been using my phone since I started UA-cam and still use it for everything.
I built a similar rig. The only difference was I went with a full metal tripod and I use the ball head from from my fotopro travel tripod. Never had any luck with cheap small tripods as they simply do not handle the weight weill. Very good video.
For just a few dollars more to but a light and mic, you can have a DJI OM 4 gimbal. The gimbal can charge your phone and the stabilization is better than just handheld and you have features built into the gimbal.
I know we content creators aren't supposed to get overly excited about new shiny objects, but this would have me creating videos with my phone just to use it everyday! Gotta have one!
Funny to see people say the mic wasn't much different. The phone mic didn't isolate your voice as well. The phones mic made it harder on my ears especially with the wind.
I have a big question. When you record with your iPhone, using an external microphone. Do you use any software to improve the sound of the voice, or not?
Great Vlogg. FYI.I Have a DJI Pocket 2 which fits in perfectly vertically. Just moved accessories around to suit as well as my go pro. So Small rig is cross platform accessible. Thank you
the sound of the mic is definitely better. Today is Prime Day... so it's $135. Question... looks great for vlog style. But what about it being a little farther away? I want to start filming painting furniture.
Hi Omar! I've tried at least 5 different microphones for iPhone (some recommended from this and other channel). While they seem to work ok the the sound is fine in UA-cam studio, they sound low, muffled or sometimes distorted when actually watching on the channel. Is this something you have experience with and could cover in the future? What am I doing wrong? I use my iPhone 11 to record videos mostly. Is there any setting that would make it better than the other? It has been 'ok' using my onboard micfor upload and download and in all settings. The interesting thing is that the audio issues I have are usually with external microphones (wireless or not). By the way, which mic are you using in this video and how was it set up? I watched this video many times but I can't remember and don't want to rewatch just for that information :). Thank-you!
The clamp that holds the phone doesn't look very secure, does it slip out/off? Another video review mentioned without a "sticky" cellphone case his phone easily fell out of the holder... have this happened with your setup?
I ordered this smarting after watching your video. It didn't include the allenkeys necessary for set-up. What's the best battery pack for the smart rig?
Thank you for this video! Right in my niche of minimalist smartphone creation for UA-cam. SmallRig makes some awesome gear for sure! That ball head was impressive when you let it chill at an angle like that. The cheap ball heads would slap that rig on the table as soon as you let go. Or, even worse… hold until you hit record and THEN fall over while you’re filming lol
Can you use your rubber case with the rig. I'm pretty clumsy at times and feel safer with my case on my phone all the time. I noticed you weren't using a case on yours, Thanks !
Actually, there is a big difference between the two mics outdoors. Can you not hear the wind noise from your phone’s built-in mic? External is much cleaner.
To my ears, there doesn’t seem to be much difference in the mics. I wonder if a future comparison might include a wireless mic like the Rode Wireless Go 2 you’ve reviewed a few times? There would definitely be a difference there. That would be an interesting baseline.
That smartphone rig is great for those of you content makers who have the luxury of having multiple smartphones; but, what about rigs for tablets? What is recommended?
*"Everything in life is easier when you don't concern yourself with what other people are doing."* The chances of you seeing this comment is pretty low, but if you did, *I hope you have an amazing day.* 🖤
Do you have lens for smartphone make telephoto or wider. Most adapter might not work on the headphone jack for samsung. And most adapter might not work though usb c with charging and mic
Hello! Thanks for your video. I get confused with all the information we can find on UA-cam and I'm still not sure what to do. I'm a complete beginner with filming and I'm looking at what gears to have to shoot with my iPhone 11 at home (like cooking videos). I've heard about all these things you can get to film like a pro such as the lenses, ND filters, rigs and so on but I'm still lost. What would you recommend ? thanks in advance
Wowww thanks to let me know think media song like if you have smart phone 📱 you don’t to worry about camera 🎥 for now til you can buying a camera 🎥 thanks for sharing 🥰🥰

Yes! On my phone. Would love for u guys to do a review on the Samsung Ultra 21 4k phone please 🙏
Yes ✋😁

definitely, the sound of the mic is a game-changer in my opinion. also, that's like a tank but useful!

The least effective method for growing your influence is making excuses. Second least effective, procrastination. I’ve tried them, didn’t work.
💯

The other day daughter was telling me she wants to start creating content, here i am looking to get her started for Christmas...this was so helpful.
Yes! There is a noticeable difference! The shotgun mic supplied with the "SmallRig" sounds better IMO.
NEED!!!...that is all! I love you guys at THINK!

When the mic is on and you are shooting wide angle the mic is in the shot. I like the setup though!
Nice work man - love the testing to actually show/demonstrate the quality! Appreciate the effort 😎
Small rig sound was much more clear than the iPhone on board mic!
The Blessing Channel 🙌🌹
I just received mine today. I’m using for my first shoot! Thank you 🙏 for the complete info.
My favourite think media host
There is a decent difference and think the mic would be handy. I think I need this kit! Because I have been using my phone since I started UA-cam and still use it for everything.
I just purchased this kit after watching your video! I’m excited for it!
That mic is a game changer! I’m definitely going to look into this kit
This is a perfect Mobile Vlogging Kit

No doubt, indoors, the iPhone mic sounds definitely better. But the external mic is better outside.
Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Happy Sunday!!❤😂🎉😊
You guys help us a lot!
Thanks for all the help!
Thanks for the tips! Think media is the men!
Worth viewing 👌
Why does the thumbnail looks so cool 🎉

Wow, that kit looks pretty awesome.
This is a positive sign. You are right where you meant to be!
For the price this is a must have! Already followed the link to Amazon! Thanks guys
Definately worth the purchase. Inexpensive! Thanks for the share. Peace

Awesome video. This looks like the same neighborhood I live in...RR LV!!
Omar, is this still your go-to for newbies like myself?
Hello, do you recommend it to do hot wheels unboxing or what kind of setup do you recommend for it?
thanks
I have a big question.
When you record with your iPhone, using an external microphone. Do you use any software to improve the sound of the voice, or not?
Thank you! Would you recommend this for interviews with multiple people?
Mantap... saya di manado north sulawesi indonesia
Thank you for posting - how do you press the photo or video button if you are holding the small rig device?
what smartphone or camera are you shooting this video with? Great content!
The mic makes a significant difference esp outside. My guess is that the onboard mic is not as directional as an added shotgun mic
How to connect mic with android with no mic plug. Adapters that came with for mic don't work with usb
Great Vlogg. FYI.I Have a DJI Pocket 2 which fits in perfectly vertically. Just moved accessories around to suit as well as my go pro. So Small rig is cross platform accessible. Thank you
I think having two hand grip is not required, I can get good stability by holding the tripod and just one grip.
the sound of the mic is definitely better. Today is Prime Day... so it's $135.

I really like the Mic, really noticeable difference to me.

What do you recommend that similar to this but more up to date for today
Great video! I’m concerned with the light. How does it work compared to a lighting softbox for a video podcast in a small space? Thanks
Sweet set up!

Thanks for all the great information
Cheers!!!

I was wonder the same thing. If it will while an iPhone pro max with a big case
Loving tesla plaid plug 🤣 go tesla! 🙌🏽
Actually, there is a big difference between the two mics outdoors. Can you not hear the wind noise from your phone’s built-in mic? External is much cleaner.
Great review I was thinking about buying this and after your video ima just go and checkout now lol

Have an amazing day! 💜
Thanks, I needed that 😀
@think media when you plug in the mic, does it automatically override the onboard mic or do I have to do something in settings?
Great to know… going away this week and thinking of using only my phone for some vids as camera is broken!
Nice,, i just get my Xiaomi 13 pro,, i need more Rigs
Thank you, this is all i need. Thank you
omg the smart phone counter in the beginning got me dying laughing :D
This is very helpful since i'm a beginner at creating videos here at youtube 😁

I love this kit, been using it but the microphone which come with is not good. A mic upgrade with made this kit to the next level 👍
What a neat creation!!! 👌
Will this hold the Samsung fold 3?
Thanks for this info 👌🏿🔥
Is the phone cage compatible with some other table top tripod with a screw on top?
Sooooo, Let's talk about that timepiece. Very Nice #AP
Hi can you tell me if you can plug into your computer for a zoom call and audio and video come through at the same time.
hey is this compatible with Android phones I have a Motorola 5g ace, or it's only for iphones?
I definitely forgot the name of the product plus where can you get it at because I really want it it’s perfect just what I needed
Thanks for giveing this amazing tips
That smartphone rig is great for those of you content makers who have the luxury of having multiple smartphones; but, what about rigs for tablets? What is recommended?
This looks like an excellent piece of kit and one to consider for myself
You have where to purchase for iphone. where can I get it for Android?
Think Media never disappoints. They always provides helpful tips
How y'all gonna sleep on Omar's neighborhood. Like the ambiance is everything. By the way I already bought the Small Rig
Your neighborhood is heaven
Could the Mike an the light be used on an android phone as will, just as it comes when ordering
Does this kit work on samsung galaxy s 20 as well ??

Awesome video Omar! It'll be a time saver for both new and experienced content creators
What app are good to use to filming on Android and Apple
The mic with the wind muff was much better outside.
Do you have lens for smartphone make telephoto or wider.
Most adapter might not work on the headphone jack for samsung. And most adapter might not work though usb c with charging and mic
Picked this up recently but there's so much mic hiss/white noise and lowers my voice. Any way to fix this for live streaming? I have a Galaxy S20
