If you can get a fruit spray (a soak of baking soda and water will do just find) and clean the exterior of the banana 🍌 peels you can use them. I've made an Oleo Saccharum with just the peels and cane sugar. Lots of oils and flavour from them
I have the ingredients for ALL these! I’ve had the Rum Runner often but the other two will be a first. Also, it’s my understanding that the Barbancourt is essentially a rhum agricole. Haiti is a former French colony and its rhum making process is the same as Martinique. I don’t have both to compare. Interested in your thoughts. Cheers pal!
Yea I’ve heard that too, the barbancourt doesn’t have a strong grassy note though like some Agricoles… honestly if that’s the flavor profile they wanted to achieve, that last 1/4 oz should be cachaca!
That’s true Barbencourt is considered an Agricole. The white has a bit more of a grassy note that the 4 or 8. But it’s still got a funk. To me, they all have way more funk that Appleton’s line up. All very good, but yeah not as grassy as Cachaca.
Stellar video brother. Those all look amazing. I have never seen the banana liquor before. I need to check out that video and make some. Your channel is killer Rob. Time to make some new ones on my rolling cart...lol By the way, I still think these carts are so worh thier cost. I roll mine out onto our front porch in the evening and then light up tiki torches around the porch and mix and sip.
Nice! Glad you're enjoying the bar cart! They are great! ...If you can find a quality banana liqueur, go for it! Giffard's Banane du Brezil is apparently fantastic! ...just stay away from the cheap neon yellow stuff! ...that tastes like children's antibiotics! LOL

Thanks! I’ll def do that for the next batch!
Ohhh... that Naked Ape sounds just right! Nice stuff Rob! Some lovely drinks!
It's amazing!! top 5 tiki!
I have a couple of Banana Liqueurs. I forgot about the Fay Wray. I’ll definitely make this this summer. Tiki’s fun to explore isn’t it! Cheers Rob!
It's not bad, overly citrus, I dont that that added wedge of lime does anything.. but otherwise a tasty drink!
been seeing so many tiki videos from everyone, must be cause summer starting :D
I think I would like the rum runner the most
Summer is Rum and Tiki season!
These sound dope!
Naked Ape is amazing!

@@RobsHomeBar I’m gonna do Cachaca anyway since I don’t have anything from Martinique.
@@CoachVinoLLC you’ll def taste 1/4 oz of cachaca!

Woah, well, there's only one romantic story for this, me, my wife, these cocktails, the beach, daughter with grandparents, in the weekend 😊👍

Well done! Doing 3 drinks in one video is very impressive! I need to get some banana liqueur because I keep hearing great things about the Naked Ape.
It’s amazing! Look for a quality banana liqueur! First red flag for a bad banana liqueur is a neon yellow Color 🤣
Dude great timing, just got done making your excellent banana liqueur! Keep up the good work and I hope to see a homemade blackberry liqueur soon
Thanks! Definitely making Berry liqueurs soon!!
The naked ape sounds amazing, and not just because of the name!
