The philosophical and psychological aspects of the song is amazing. It reminds me of a lot of Carl Jung's theory of the Shadow and the collective unconsciousness.
The music theory aspect is interesting as well, Korn does a lot of key changes and modes you would find in Gypsy, flamenco, and middle eastern classical music. Much different than traditional western music style.
I feel like a person could write a academic essay about Korn and it would cover a wide range of disciplines from Psychology, philosophy, theology, and the theory of music from western music to middle eastern music to the far east. I wouldn't put Korn in a box or label of heavy metal, that's just a brand name for the music industry to sell a product. Korn is on a level of no rules no branding or in the box. Korn is a style all of its own.

My dad always talked about how the music he loved (Beatles, Stones, Orbison, Grass Roots, etc) always gave him that chicken skin. I always got it from classic rock and never got it from much else until I randomly got introduced to Disturbed (Believe) and then Korn and Linkin Park. Korn were absolutely pioneers for the sound of that era back then, and they have kept up through thick and thin with the most pounding, heavy, and most times experimental sounds they can muster.
They never lost sight of speaking about what's going on around them, either, which I like to see with the lyrics. Everyone needs to hear that other people go through everything imaginable; that others besides you hurt, bleed, and give up at times.
But they are still kicking and laying down the gnarliest riffs, and seem to be very together as a band with their composition.

I’ve been a Korn fan since their self-titled in 1994, and while they’ve definitely released some meh albums, their unique sound has remained the same despite the experimentation. Nobody else sounds like them. I’m loving the melodies they’ve been doing with the last few albums. Korn has aged like a fine wine in my opinion. Korn is just different. Kinda apples and oranges for progressive death and nu metal (or modern Korn is more just metal).
I was never a huge fan, even being from Bakersfield, the land of Korn fanboys. However, since they picked up this latest drummer they've developed a heavier and more nuanced sound. I can dig it.

@@TT-df9hp I enjoy both immensly. Korn has a unique sound and no other band got the same vibe as they do. I don’t see Korn as a downgrade in any way as they play different genres too.

The end of the C section of this song is a little lackluster, but the song is an earworm, and I love it.

I think it resolves at the outro. Feels like a Deftones style of song structure where it goes heavier only for the outro. I bet the next single will be more of a banger.

KoЯn are all very good musicians and only good things can come out of it 💯👍💥
I love Brian's band Love&Death so much ❤️🙏However, I miss the dirty bass of Fieldy, which unfortunately is still in this healing, I hope it comes back soon 🙌🙌✊💋
The album is certainly great what follows 💪💥
Good healing for your arm 🙏😁

Reveille - Feeling is a great song by a lesser known band. When i first heard it i thought it was making fun of Jonathan Davis in the Korn song Daddy where he crying in the song, but after further research of the lyrics, it seems its more about experiencing abuse as a child getting and forcing yourself to get over it and prove to the person/s that inflicted the abuse they didn't ruin you!! . It just so happened to come out after the Korns -Daddy and i linked them together. Regardless of my ignorance...Both are great songs that i hope gets reacted to eventually. Thanks Geebz!!

Not sure if you take many requests on here but I would love to see you react to The Dismemberment Plan, their best album imo is Emergency & I, but some of there more interesting songs have been on other albums. The Ice Of Boston or You Are Invited are good starting songs for that band
