TREMONTI "If Not For You" ~ Reaction & Dissection ~ The Decomposer Lounge
Mark Tremonti's been killing it for almost 25 years or so! Great guitarist, singer and song writer.
30
I've been following mark since 1997 he's the GOAT
He's a great guy too! Great to hear him on Jasta 😎
And now he's doing Sinatra covers receiving 10/10 reviews. The guy is not human!
He’s all those but best of all a great father!!!!
I love the amount of play this song has gotten on the UA-cam reaction channels today. Respect for Tremonster!
Hell yes!! Tremonti deserves so much more credit!
Tremonti is one of my all-time favorite song writers and performers. He's just immensely talented at everything he does.
Agreed
He can do no wrong, pure and simple 👍😃
Please react to Tremonti's newest track "Marching In Time"!
Well i wouldn't expect nothing less from the wonderful Mr. Tremonti been a fan of his since his early days in creed. Met him several times and attended one of his guitar clinics as well . he's a very nice and talented guy. he also is a great artist in the art department to . he painted a very beautiful painting for his 4 month old daughter's nursery right before she was born . she is soo adorable. i don't think there isn't to much Mark can't do. Defintely a jack of all trades.🎵👍👋🔥
I'm here for the Tremonti 😆 love that man
It's so cool that you did this song, he has so much good stuff
Thank you so much for bringing attention to the awesomeness that is Tremonti. The band deserves SO much more recognition then they get. You did a great job dissecting the song! I found myself agreeing with you the whole time. Good work!
A Dying Machine was one of my favorite albums of 2018. I'm very much looking forward to this.
Same!
That was a great album. Did you happen to read the book?
@@evanrainey5125 no, I wasnt aware there was a book too
@@Bellathor the album is a concept from the book, of the same name, that Mark co-wrote. It was really neat seeing where the songs were formed when I read it.
I was very impressed with how good the book was, I got him to sign my copy at a show in Peoria Illinois
God, what a song man!!! Now. I love Tremonti more!
Tremonti, is a very solid artist….just rock solid. And love your insight….keep the grind…
I can't wait for the new Tremonti album 2021, Marching in Time
Loving this track! Tremonti is really coming into his own as A solo artist and each new song and the album that follows seems to just build and combine everything he’s done up to this point, love it! Thank you for doing this, rock on! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks for the analysis!!
This song is BRUTAL
Its not magic, its little details
and a TREMONSTER
🤟🤟😎🎸🤟🤟
Huge Tremonti fan here! Thanks for doing this one! I would love to hear your thoughts on “Weightless” by Evergrey
One of my top 5 all time favorite bands!! I love Mark's voice, it just cuts through me, almost haunting in my opinion. Obviously the insane guitar work is great too!
This new Tremonti album is going to be AOTY if these two tracks are any indicator.
Mark Tremonti was the one who inspired me to pick up the guitar... Creed, Alter Bridge, Tremonti. This dude doesn't miss!
I loved your commentary on this. The technical points were great. Open and honest. And yie give metal a chance, bonny lad.
Whoever mixed this track is unreal.
Two of my all time favourite Tremonti songs are Leave It Alone, and more importantly Unable To See. Both are reaction worthy. Tremonti is amazing!
Awesomeness
Busy today! I dig this, man. Thanks for the good vibes.
Tremonti is an amazing artist. This is a really impressive song all around!
WHOAAAA.... Love this!!
That breakdown interlude into the bridge is pure badass-ery! This is one of the coolest hard rock track I've heard in the last ten years!
7:21 the guitar is revving up and I feel the adrenaline. I'm expecting the drums to crash into me like a semi and wham... they do this awesome thing that surprised the hell out of me and made me go "huh?" And I loved it lol. That was cool. Forgive my lack of musical terms. I have no idea what I just heard, but I enjoyed it :D
That is exactly why I like the way he makes music. You hear it in Alter Bridge as well.
Alter Bridge and Tremonti are awesome! So so good
Been a fan of the Tremonster since the days of Creed, he is a major part of Alter Bridge's success and his solo work is amazing, "Dust" has to be my favourite Tremonti album
Killer Geebz! Great track, and cool analysis. Can't wait for this album. Tremonti just keeps on delivering!
Shit dude idk how I missed this reaction. Tremonti is a freaking monster. Probably my favorite guitar player of all time. His solo stuff and his vocals are incredible too. So glad you did this song!
Mark said there’s no keyboard. The synth sound you hear is a guitar peddle.
Really enjoy your reactions and deconstructions. I love the facial expressions and such you make when you're listening too. You seem to really feel the music, which is great.
Circus Maximus “Burn After Reading” or Seventh Wonder’s “The Great Escape” are two musical journeys I would love to get your input on. Much love for all the reactions Geebz! Incredibly entertaining and informative!
Shogun by Trivium would be an amazing one!
Tremonti really knows how to write.
The Man doesn't seem to have Writer's block! 👍
I so hoped you would eventually do this and you did it on release day. Wow. Thank you so much for checking out Mark and the guys in Tremonti and Alter Bridge. ❤️❤️
Love the music 🎵🎶
Thank god for Creed, because if it weren't for them, Tremonti wouldn't have realized he could do better than Scott Stapp (infection), and we would be down two incredible bands.
Truth.
Agreed. I also often wonder, what if Mark had done vocals instead of Scott..
"infection" LOL Mark is so incredible -- amazing voice AND killer guitar player! /m\
@@Jrollinjs19 that's an interesting thought, I think he'd do pretty good in most of the song's if not better imo I'd be interested to hear him cover a Creed song to hear what it'd sound like
A tad mean spirited. Creeds first endeavor was amazing. What followed... not so much. I was there in Tallahassee when it all happened.
You should check out Alter Bridge - Blackbird. It's the best song they have. 2 great solos, huge vocals, great bass & drums. Builds to massive crescendo. Their true gem.
You should do his newest track from this album, A World Away. Love your stuff sir
Killer track...thanks for doing this..Tremonti rules
Wow 🤩
Layers + engineering + analog + organic sound + heavy + light = HUM: “Isle of the Cheetah.”
Beautiful song and definitely worthy of a de-composition
I’ll be seeing him in Kansas City on Sept 4th and I cannot wait!!
I'm gonna see him end of September in Illinois! Yay us
I have tickets for the show on Sept. 4th also. And, GO CHIEFS!!!
Love Tremonti's ability to produce brilliant flawless track after track.
You should definitely check out some Sevendust 👌
DANG!!! I had no idea he had such a great voice
Marching In Time and A Dying Machine are also killer tunes from Tremonti! Have a listen!
Love anything Tremonti does as he always seems to hit that sound I prefer. Give a try to Starset - Monster.
Superb musician.
Ryan Bennett is our drummer ♥ 😎
Hey! Please react to Tremonti's latest single. It's the title track from their upcoming album
Fantastic analysis!!
Great stuff man. I thought I heard the keyboard filling out some notes on the solo made it just PERFECTION
Mark is a great musician. One of a kind. The new Jerry Cantrell!
So glad you did this
Was great to hear your take on this song. Thank you for your technical analysis....what an artist Tremonti and his band and by association, Alter Bridge is!!!
Great band with old school rawness in alot of songs! They kick butt LIVE as well! Respect! 🤘
Oh, Geebz:
THE FIVE HUNDRED - Walls of Jericho
Great video - love the song and as a non-muso your opinions and explanations make sense even to me.... and makes me appreciate what I'm listening to more. Nice job :)
What a cracking track. Great review too. Loved it.
Those other sequences you are hearing is not a keyboard, it is the other guitar. This new release also shows that Mark’s development on his Vocals is getting better and better. He is a hard working musician! Stellar song and cannot wait for the album release!
Well, that was fast. Faster than YT notifications, even! :-)
Good stuff. mmmmmmm rock n roll goodness
Between the Buried and Me - Selkies: The Endless Obsession
Please and thanks you.🙏🤞🦥😀
There's a new Sleep Token song out called ALKALINE ... got to react to that man!
Mark always refers to Elvis their producer as the 5th member of the band whether it's his solo project or Alter Bridge
This breakdown got you a sub, my dude
Edit: you should fix the typo in your hashtag #tremonti
Ooops, thanks for the # correction :)
@@KeyOfGeebz thanks for the upload! Quality content man, I love talking about music just like this with my friends. Finding those subtle harmonics and little fills that we miss sometimes. Will be back for more for sure😊
Missed about a week of posting this lol. Not been feeling well. Anyways. Just found you recently through your 46&2 reaction and I love your channel. Great vibe, and I dig the fact that you don’t do it for money. I have a band suggestion that I think any composer would appreciate.
ua-cam.com/video/7mIV6ADAnnk/v-deo.html
This is “The Hands that Thieve” by Streetlight Manifesto, a 7-piece band that plays music categorized as “ska punk” but it’s very complex, multicultural, and extremely well-composed, and calling it ska punk is really undercutting its brilliance. It draws from many influences, such as Eastern European music, Latin music, jazz, swing, and of course, punk rock, among others. This particular song starts out sounding like an old Scottish folk song.
There are fantastic harmonies between the four brass instruments, complex and ever-changing drum lines, and very meaningful lyrics. It all comes together in such a perfect way, and every song is like that. There’s not a bad or uncared-for song in their catalog. The frontman, Tomas Kalnoky, is a self-described perfectionist, and it really shows in the music that he spends years at a time writing.
I’ve always wanted to hear a composer’s take on the band. So I’ll probably post this on every video until you either tell me to stop or acknowledge this comment lol.
I'm not here to tell you how to run your channel, but it would be cool if you did more new releases in the future. Been a sub since you started doing reactions buddy and will continue to be in the future 👍
Meh. I just want to see his opinion on Music we know well and love.
I disagree. Why does it matter if it’s a new release or not? That severely limits his options, and he’s gonna have the same reaction to something if it’s totally new as he would if it’s been out for 50 years and he just hasn’t heard of it.
@@Crunchatize_Me_Senpai He didn’t say only new releases.
@@mutatednut I still don’t see why it matters when it came out :/
Drums just sound amazing. Mark's voice has really improved. Compare this to something like Waters Rising from 2013. Way more range and tone
Such a satisfying song! And here's my regular spamming in favor of you doing reactions to *Charlotte Wessels'* work, both with *Delain* , and as a recent solo artist. She's a brilliant vocalist and performer. For Delain, I'd suggest *"Burning Bridges"* and *"Here Come the Vultures"* ; for solo, I'd suggest *"Superhuman"* and *"Soft Revolution"* . 🤙🏼
I return to again humbly request "Rebirth" by Eluveitie. I will not surrender!
Hey Geebz, not sure if it’s been suggested but you really need to watch Manchester Orchestra ‘The Silence’. He has a unique voice but it works so well, a very deep song. Watch one of the live versions.
Thanks for watching Tremonti, I live Myles and Alter Bridge but it’s great to see Mark Tremonti come form the days of Creed all the way to now. Thanks again.
Man, you have given me way more appreciation for music than I thought possible. Check out The Dear Hunter if you get a chance. The singer is a composer as well and I really think you will appreciate their mix of prog rock and orchestral music. The heavy influence of early 1900's jazz is icing on the cake.
This song sounds great in so many ways. What kind of engineering techniques are used to tighten up the parts during the breakdowns (if that is the correct name for it) where the drums and bass and guitar all play the exact same staccato notes (often in triplets). They sound so air-tight and clean. If they were to play it live there is no way that they could get it to sound so air-tight. Do they edit the recording of the notes so they sound tighter? Or do they use a compressor? Or, what?
Great Song....
Here i am once again for my weekly request for Shogun by Trivium. keep up the good work :)
Suggestions:
Between the Buried and Me - Extremophile Elite
He Is Legend - The Widow of Magnolia
Graveyard - Low
The Goddamn Gallows - The Maker
The Legendary Shack Shakers - Ichabod
Love this channel. Rush. Power Windows. Middletown Dreams. Neil's lyrics are worth the revisit. When they played this song live on a few tours it sounds like the record.
really like that previous Tremonti album
That outro is straight filth!
It's awesome that you covered a new release 😀 I am curious if you'd be willing to review of Lord of the Lost 'Raining Stars' or on Infected Rain 'Black Gold'?
Please do a Godspeed you! Black Emperor reaction video
Tremonti's album Rust is also really awesome. Geebz, you should check out Septicflesh's song Enemy of Truth (live version with orchestra). It's epic.
This is so good!! I'd love to see you react to some of Myles Kennedy's new release- maybe The Ides of March, or Moonshot Live at the Fox? His solo songwriting is sublime 😍
Aloha, keep up the great work! I’m dying to hear you cover Descending and Memento Mori from Lamb of God!! Better buckle your seatbelt for those.
Heads up, you misspelled Tremonti as "Trimonti" in the tags and description.
Please react to "Breathe" by Alter Bridge.
I was scanning the comments to see if someone else mentioned the misspelling in the hashtag. I second this! #Tremonti
A dying machine
Hey Geebz, would love to see a video on Guns & Roses here, particularly Estranged. Hope you can do it. Cheers :-)
Maybe the most underappreciated guitarist of modern times. Tremonti's brain is a literal riff factory that shows no signs of ever slowing down
Aloha can u do some creed songs please:torn, what's this life for, wash away the years, who's got my back, are you ready, My own prison,is this the end,and pity for a dime
Would love to see your reaction & dissection to Crooks UK "A Few Peaceful Days". :)
I’m still going to plug Silversun Pickups!
Check Him out singing Sinatra-Under My Skin
This is a great song but it's really straight forward besides the killer turnarounds in the chorus, bridge, and solo. Marching in time is definitely a song with a lot more going on you could really sink your teeth into.
Don't forget Creed!
Aviations - Outliers (Retrospect) 🤘
BROKEN IRIS - Eyes of Tomorrow
BROKEN IRIS - Where Butterlies Never Die
THE FIVE HUNDRED - Walls of Jericho
