    wish I knew him earlier. Great videos and thinking. The first man I heard describing correctly the dynamics of the knock out. He's knowledgeable, a very experienced teacher, a sophisticated moral individual, capable of extreme violence. How every Man should inspire to be.

    glad you mentioned the use of forearm protection. its just smart to train that way, you can go harder and longer and so can your partner. also the long term effects of repeated nerve damage is actually not so good. also the repeated trauma to the brachial artery is also not so good.

    If a guys pulls out a knife, RUN! 99% of people regardless of their training are gonna get killed fighting a guy with a knife. Fight only if you have no choice, like if you are protecting your loves ones.

      @steffwyatt1862 Рік тому

      He always says "the best self defence is to not be there. Get gone". This is if you have no choice, other than to get stabbed. If you're cornered.

    CONSTANT FORWARD PRESSURE (TAKING GROUND) is everything. You want to be where the fucker stands. Knee goes up and forward, NOT back, when you are kneeing. These details make ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Fundamental principle.

    Just as question wouldn't constant dialling up of the pressure over time lead to a hyper realistic simulation, (which can be a good thing?). So the simulated attacker ends up attacking harder and more ferociously than a would be attacker. But the attacking also get better because of the resistance from the defender, which a would attacker has likely never really experienced.

    FOOD FOR THOUGHT
    -somebody wielding a knife just to scare you
    -somebody just want to slash you
    - somebody determined to kill you
    -experienced fighters do NOT lead with the knife
    -experienced fighters will not leave the knife hand extended and stationary after a thrust, allowing you a chance to apply a "hold"
    -An experienced fighter will hit you with his free hand - it is not paralyzed
    -with an experienced knife fighter, you will not see the blade until is too late and his empty hand is not (paralyzed)
    -All the vdos of instructors "teaching" defense against the blade do ignore the empty hand of the knife attacker...huge mistake
    The fact is, an experienced fighter will have his knife hand held close to his side until the empty hand has done the job and created an opening.Only then is the knife ready to be thrust into the opponent's body. The knife is quickly retracted and the assailant will continue to pump multiple stabs into the victim
    Never attempt an offensive technique while an attacker's knife hand is in the retracted position.In this situation, you should counter , not initiate an attack. An experienced fighter will retract his knife hand too quickly for any offensive attack or hold to be applied
    -most instructors do not have experience in deadly encounters against the blade. The ones who had, know very well they were "survivors"
    - many people can get a false sense of security (ego crap) and that would be fatal against the blade
    What do you base your knife fighting theories on..?
    Have you ever seen someone killed with a knife..?
    Have you ever killed anyone with a knife...?
    Have you ever defended yourself from someone intent on killing you with a knife..?
    Be honest with yourself
    You will never know what you will do in a certain situation until you are in that situation
    Many who thought that they were the "world's deadliest man" laid down when faced with true adversity!
    How would most techniques work if the opponent first struck with his empty hand to the eyes or face and then used the retracted knife hand as a quick follow-up blow..?
    Anyone who believes he could apply these techniques (holds, locks and the alike) against a formidable opponent has never fought a formidable opponent
    Remember, the opponent with the knife is in control of the fight.He initiates an attack and maintains the upper hand because he has a weapon and you do not.

    Lee you and your UC are the real deal! Do you offer training materials and or ongoing instructions from a distance?

  • @dyslo9216

    Love it. But one question Sir. With the kneeing to the groin, What if the guy is a grappler? Would you be concerned with him grabbing your leg and taking you down?

    • @streetsurvivalsecrets
      @streetsurvivalsecrets 2 роки тому

      My guess is as you keep pressing forward and TAKING GROUND, you will disrupt his balance and he won t grapple. In case of a grapple, you can bite, gouge, hook, headbutt, maim...of course you regain your balance first

    • @lesact
      @lesact Рік тому

      Yes of course. He could throw the knife away, then use both hands to do a single leg take down then straight into mount or a knee lock. Errr, wait a minute 😂

    Is there any mental technique that you can apply when you're hurt in a fight? For example saying stuff like "don't give up, fight!" to yourself is helpful? Is there any way of ignoring pain? Maybe focusing on winning the fight and not on the pain itself?
