  • S2:E8 Join me for an epic solo wild camping adventure in the Aussie bush. I walked into a very remote and hard-to-get-to camp spot amongst rolling hills and valleys to have a relaxing and secluded wild camping experience.
I also tested and reviewed the Amok Draumr UL hammock system and the awesome Tensa Solo Hammock stand. This camp is completed with a great steak and stunning night skies. Come and have an adventure with me!

Could you explain those fancy stakes? What is the alloy rod for exactly?

The suspension webbing should be in a 30degree angle. Or you will find that the "middle" of the hammock tends to be high from the foot and head end.. and you are a banana in the morning with the feet and head hanging closer to the ground than your ass. :)

Its a common mistake to season steak before cooking. There is no benefit in cooking salt and pepper. Put some in a frying pan and see for yourself. Pre seasoning a steak will only draw out moisture and you dont want that..

      Never heard of that before.

@@TheMidweekEscapeArtist yep, but ask yourself what the benefit is of pre-seasoning. Half of it falls off in the meat turning process and there is no need to cool salt and pepper. Cooked peppercorns are also quite bitter. Cook the meat, then add seasoning at the end.

I give that a go next time!

A common mistake most chefs make?
A majority pre season I think you’ll find!

I’ve never heard of it done any other way either. I’ll give it a go next time and see if there is any difference.
