Very, very useful. Every car model should have a demo video like this because those unwieldly mannual books are not easy to read. This is straight up useful and helpful
My goodness! Wish I'd found this a year ago when I Got my new jazz. Because of covid the Dealer wasn't able to show me the dashboard and how to turn stuff off. Thankfully I hardly use the car these days but there's stuff showing and working that drives me nuts. I don't find the driver manual very friendly. This video is superb.
An extremely useful video. I successfully test drove a Honda Jazz EX last week and now have on order an EX Style. Can I say what an impressive test drive it was!
That’s great! I wish every car brands had a video like that so we’d know exactly which car to get! After 16 years with my Passat, I must get a new car and I’ve no idea what to get!
@@rupamede you will lose out ..hybrids and EVs are far too expensive at the moment..trust me..wait 5 years for prices to fall, or you will be throwing your hard earned cash away
@@waynekerrr9027 Cobblers ;) Far fewer parts to fail on a hybrid. e.g. No alternator with belts and such; brake pads last a lifetime because they don't get used; I get 61 mpg from a Yaris Cross without trying. 12 monthly maintenance instead of 6. Jazz is very comparable and what my mate went for because of better interior. Both have excellent automatic transmissions. You assume hybrid prices are going to fall just because petrols do.
I wish you'd been around when I picked mine up ! (it was not from you). Once the salesman had the deal he couldn't wait to get rid of me when I collected it. I love the car, but the printed manual (literally hundreds of pages) is terrible. I used to write technical manuals for end users so I'm qualified to comment. It tells you how to activate things, but not necessarily what they will do, and also spends page after page just on legal getouts explaining that some things won't necessarily work under some circumstances anyway. It's a great drive and a very well featured car, but there's a lot to get to grips with, and to get the best out of it a properly informative run through is needed. If like me you don't get that from your dealer this video does a very good job. Thank you for publishing it.
@@kinocchio I was impressed. I've driven a 2012 Jazz for ten years. The new one had lighter steering and softer suspension. My current Jazz has always been quite a hard ride. The visibility is excellent and the A pillars improve safety by being thinner. The control layout felt better. I've now ordered one for June delivery.
Cold please enlighten me: is the more powerful facelifted version likely to be quitter, or not? Please correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption but I imagine the engine in the upgraded iteration will work less hard - especially on the motorway - and thus make for, repeat, a more relaxed cabin feel, yes/no?
Hi If I wanted to run an electric pump off the 12 V power outlet to inflate some paddleboards, will the engine run to charge the battery or could I risk running the 12 V battery flat? I haven't used a hybrid before.
My understanding is that the 12v battery is charged from the main traction battery. There is no alternator, so the engine charges the main traction battery, that in turn charged the 12v battery. I was told that there is actually no need to move the car to charge the 12v battery, you just need to have the ignition switched on, and the engine will come if it needs to.
Can I ask please, how easy is this car to drive up hill especially if it’s slow traffic, as a manual driver I’m use to using gears and clutch? Thank you.
Hi during colder weather the engine will initially kick in and be the source of all power until the battery has warmed up. So yes it will detect to an extent and use what is the most efficient. I hope that helps.
Personally I think it's incredibly u g l y. The whole thing looks like it was created by a committee that couldn't make up its mind what it finally wanted. That bulbous bonnet reminds me of the generous facial features of Miss Piggy as she steps inside her Muppetmobile. The answer to your question is: a marketing decision was taken by Honda because of poor sales....
The presenter did a great job of explaining all the details of the new Jazz. However, his presentation is ruined by the awful music that is a horrible mix and way to loud. Please take that off the video it damages his good presentation.
Great presentation of the information, horrendous music made it most unpleasant to digest the good information though. Presentation, 10 out of 10, sound editing, 0 out of 10.
What a complete waste of money..only good on town driving..everything else is worse mpg than petrol...only buy, when they are the same price as a petrol car..

Very well explained, but the music is very intrusive at times which is a shame as it makes it difficult to hear what's being said.

I loved this product video so much i want to buy this car
very detailed presentation! Can I use the heater in old fashioned way, without engine involved?
The heat comes from the engine, so if you need heat the engine will come on.
Any diffrence in the real world MPG between the Jazz and the Jazz corsstar? :)

No.

Since it is automatic, it is very simple and safe. No clutch control needed! :)
Brake hold keeps the brakes on until you move forwards. There is no clutch.
Disappointed you didn't cover the 'voice activation' system.
If it starts in EV mode in winter how do you defrost the windscreen, or does it detect the cold outside air and start the engine?
Hi during colder weather the engine will initially kick in and be the source of all power until the battery has warmed up. So yes it will detect to an extent and use what is the most efficient. I hope that helps.
@@brayleys Brilliant, really appreciate that, nobody has mentioned that in any reviews and it had me stumped.
