I use PLine Copolymer, moss green. Love it. I've used Power Pro, JBraid, and recently have Finns braid on my spinning setups. Love it. Edit : Yo-Zuri makes great line. I need to try the Suffix braid. Great review, thanks!
Came across Maxima via Pacific Northwest trout, steelhead, etc forum posts almost three years ago. Have used P-Line since Silver Thread was discontinued. I only use 2 spinning outfits in my Kayak. Found some Arkansas White River guys via UA-cam early last Summer. One is the owner of D2 jigs. I purchased Leland Lures Trout Magnet SOS line last August per their recommendation. Only make 2# 4# 6# ----- crazy value = 350 yards for like $7 bucks. Bought 6# test ...... casts like a dream. I only use it in open water. For skipping docks, pitching banks, etc i use Suffix ProMix. Caught 15-18 pound Striper my first week using the SOS line. Caught a few Hybrids during shad spawn & Fall up to 10+ pounds. Going to get two extra spools so i can experiment more !
Thanks for this video! How well do the slicker braids you mentioned (Yo-Zuri and Power Pro) hold leader line knots? I recently bought a cheap braid because I needed something quick and cheap for a fishing trip, but it basically ruined my trip because it would not hold the leader line knot, no matter what I tried. (It was SpiderWire’s cheapest braid).
I haven't had any issue on knots with the slicker braids. For line to lure I run a Palomar or Improved Clinch and for flouro to braid I run an Albright. Hope this helps!
It is just perfect. Thx for the response! Keep up the good work, cool fishing videos and product reviews! I only fish with the Stradic. A tip here, i grease my line rollers much, which gives a nice feeling but it also keeps the braid long lasting. Tight lines from Belgium!
@humbugvideos you know what is honestly a good mono. I'm probably gonna get alot of flack for this lol Is the dirt cheap zebco omniflex from Walmart. If you change your line a lot and don't leave it on for months at a time it's actually not a bad line. I wouldn't use it on a spinning rod. It does seem to have a ton of memory. Worth a try maybe 🤔
Sufix 832 is the best braid in my opinion, absolutely love that line. Low vis for my baitcasters and high vis for my spinning reels.
I use YoZuri fluorocarbon and it’s amazing!
@@CollinBeBassin yup, that’s good stuff too!

@@humbugvideos Thanks! I use the Albright as well. Never had an issue until I used that cheap braid.
What is the best test for braid on a baitcaster?
Also, what is the best test for backing.
@@Autbeen I typically like a thicker braid for baitcasters, anything from 30-65
what your opinionon bass pro shop entry florocarbon for 10$? i like it but the memory is pretty bad
@@thebear74 I’ve used some before, and for the price it’s not bad. I still think red label is better tho!
I would almost argue that the segar basics fluorocarbon MM better. It was also priced at $9 at academy.
I use the same for years, perfect and i don't see them here. Spiderwire stealth smooth for braid and Gamakatsu fluoro carbon.
@@PieterChristiaens I didn’t know Gamakatsu made a flouro line, if it’s anything like their hooks then I’m sure it’s amazing. Appreciate the insight!
