They need a 1963 Kennedy style Lincoln. Size was good and style classy. Young people drool over that car and if they did a two door and four door model, it's be awesome.

Lincoln needs to at least have one car… and that should be the Town Car
It may not sell in the numbers it used to but it will sell. Despite the trends, not everyone wants an SUV.
Honestly, most of the American car manufacturers are a big yawn to me (mostly a sea of me-too crossovers, SUVS, egg-shaped EVs, and bro-dozer trucks)
Those body styles will never have the elegance and grace of a beautiful car.

PS. Maybe Lincoln should just accept the fact that they appeal to a more mature demographic. Ford can focus on being the more youth-oriented brand and Lincoln can just be more grown up. Not everything needs to appeal to the youth. The 20-something that has a great experience with his or her Ford will get older and will probably consider a Lincoln down the line.
Goodness, I hate it here sometimes. There’s nothing wrong with appealing to older people. If we live long enough, we will all be 60, 70, and beyond. Lincoln, Cadillac, and Chrysler will always be associated with a more mature buyer (just like Rolls-Royce and Bentley will always be associated with a more mature - albeit, well heeled - buyer).
In my 20s and early 30s, I loved certain sports cars and owned several (S2000s, Nissan Z, Miata, etc.) but my tastes changed in my late 30s and - while I still love those cars - I chose something that feels a little different (a Mk3 Audi TTS). I also aspire to own a Bentley someday… it’s just a matter of time. I’d hate it if - when I’m able to afford one - all they have is that bloated Bentayga SUV. That would send me to a brand I’ve repeatedly had good experience with (Mercedes-Benz) and just get an S-Class.

Lincoln will be just fine, but they need better advertising and slash prices by $3-5k

if they need adjustments to be "fine", they're not going to be fine if they keep doing what they've been doing.

As a Gen Z and a Ford guy through-and-through, I wouldn't completely overlook a Lincoln in a car shopping scenario. That being said, I think that opting instead for a Ford would be the choice for most of those in my age who would shop for a nicer vehicle.
Besides the obviously high barrier-to-entry of price, another thing that takes away from Lincoln is the fact that the top trim levels of Fords offer nearly all of the same features for a lesser cost.
The biggest differences usually are exterior styling. While Lincoln is known for the traditional chrome luxury look, modern Ford's will opt for a sporty blackout look for top trims. The researchers at Ford have explicitly begun to do this because Gen-Z (as well as millennials) tend to prefer that look over the more traditional chrome-luxury look.
I think if Lincoln is to survive and adapt to the younger market, they will need to overhaul their design motifs to appeal to that younger audience. They are feature-packed and comfortable, but far out of budget for most young adults, especially when "better looking" options exist.

I want them to make a rwd sports sedan like a ct5 competitor.

I normally scoff when people talk about cars back.
But I find it baffling Lincoln dosent try to use the Mustang platform to make a Lincoln Grand Tourer type thing. The platform is already there. You can charge a premium peice too. However the Mustang is so expensive all ready it might not be a selling point.
I dont think a large sedan or such like other people are saying in the commets will do much for such a small brand.
Also I dont think any automaker in the united states actually gives a rats rear end about the Gen Z buyer. I can find a lot of marketing towards young buyers in decades before. But not now. They finally realized that thats not where the cash is at. Also younger buyers are more cash strapped than younger buyers before and its just been getting worse over the years. If Lincoln wants a future either make very very affordable cars to draw in younger buyers or just focus on the older crowd. Things like a BMW 3 Series might be aspirational for some Gen Z but still out of reach. And Lincoln has no intention of making a 3 series competitor and it would be a up hill financially irresponsible battle to get traction. And plus more and more younger buyers dislike cars as a whole. Its been shown and proven over and over. Targeting the youth nowadays seems very ill intentioned.
Also thr parent company Ford having strong declines in reputation is a major factor I would assume.

Lincoln doesn't know how to appeal to them to be honest. In order to capture the attention of the younger audience, you have to influence the current one. Tbh, getting rid of Mercury ruined the stair step layout they had, making it less appealing.

@@BrkDownMedia I feel like trim levels made brand steps harder. Brands like Toyota with only the main brand then the premium brand cut the middle brand out all together with crazy trim options to be more desirable. Every new generation of car had to up the bar. At least as a option. They didn't need a new brand and cars. They just gave some nice options. At least that's what I always thought.
I would be very curious how Mercury would have turned out. I don't think being a nice Ford would have done much. I feel like maybe making them a performance division or something would have been interesting. Probably wouldn't have happened. But the kind of affordable luxury brand thing dosent seem to have much appeal. Having lots of technology or being sporty does though.
Also would have been neat to see Mercurys new deisgns. I'm sure it would have finally stopped being a bare bones redesign and something more significant. You can see it with how Lincoln finally got it's own look.
