I have battled Afib for 13 years and not one doctor mentioned checking to see what my potassium level was. I started watching your videos and it made me question why no doctor G.P. or Cardiologist had mentioned this. I also struggled with high blood pressure as well as constipation. I was told that I needed to drink a lot more water so I started drinking close to 100 ounces a day. It didn't help. I found a new doctor when I moved to Texas and I asked for a full blood test. Guess what the blood test revealed? Low potassium. I went on a high dosage potassium prescription and much to my surprise my Afib disappeared along with the high blood pressure and constipation. Turns out all of the water was flushing the potassium out of my system. Had it not been for your videos I would still have the issues that I had. I'm now eating as many high potassium foods as I can find along with taking a potassium supplement. Thank you Dr. Berg for changing my life for the better. Cheers!

Thank you Dr Berg, there are so many elderly in nursing homes dying from electrolyte deficiencies. I don’t understand why it’s not mandatory for elderly to get electrolytes. The medications they are on are depleting some minerals, and I see residents cramping up in agony every day , so what does the in home doctor do, he puts them on Endone for pain, and drugs them to the point of not eating and not being able to drink. Hence they are dying at a fast pace.
Plus the staff don’t understand how important it is to give fluids throughput the day every couple of hours.
I saved my Uncle he is now on electrolytes and supplements but I had to fight for it for months. It’s so frustrating for me to see the system fail these wonderful elderly.
And the staff say it is ageing, they really believe its natural ageing, and not neglect.

The people who run nursing homes know that every time someone passes away, it makes way for someone new and with every new person entering a lot of money is made. They are not interested in extending peoples lives as it is not in their financial interests to do so. The doctors would also be in on the idea of speeding up their expiration date as they would be making a bonus. I new a lady who was put in a nursing home and apparently 10 years is the maximum time they give people to pass away. She lived longer and they did terrible things to speed up her death until her family realized and finally got her out of there. Your Uncle is very lucky to have you.

If course I have to follow up with my G.I doc because I also have had digestive issues all my life. They did give me some potassium while I was there which helped a great deal. After few days they try to move me in regular room, but my blood pressure drop to dangerous levels and it wasn’t stabilizing without support. Later they find out that the reason that was happening was because I was depleted of potassium in my system. I was having all symptoms you describe for many years, none of the doctors diagnosed my symptoms correctly. In fact, one doctor literally told me that all that symptoms aren’t really real, that my symptoms are result of depression. Like I say, if people don't believe him, try it out. Follow it by the book and don't cheat and see what the result is. I stopped drinking cokes and as much bread and sweets (although I've never liked sweets alot)I started keto about two weeks ago to see what it'd do. In the last 6 months I've gone from weighing 328 lbs to 296lbs. I'm going to keep doing keto , although I still have some areas to clean up , and them I'm going to my my vitals tested again. I feel alot better. I have more energy , I don't get hungry as often, I don't have chest pain around the heart area and rarely any numbness. I can tell if I have carbs that are bad, like fried chicken breading , makes me feel like somebody hit me with a bat. I eat my veggies more. I have been eating a few tablespoons of almond butter before meals and it makes me less hungry and I stay satiated and I can go longer without eating , that way my body burns my fat. Try things out for yourself , don't take anyone's word as 100% truth. Always test things and see what works for you and what keeps you healthy

I wonder why and what is the reason for 459 thumbs down?!?
How much subjective can you be so you can't see the benefits of this channel?
Anyway,as I've never said it (as we move with the next 'thing' in our life and always 'speed up '...)
THANK YOU DR BERG, I LIKE AND APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR WORK AND DEDICATION !

Have been on keto and IF and I drink a lot of coffee and green tea (diuretics) while I'm fasting, and was noticing these high blood pressure and frequent urination and had a difficult time sleeping due to heart palpitations (heart beating fast), and saw your other video on potassium deficiency, and bingo! Answered my question. Now I'm eating leafy greens and avocado, and those symptoms are gone and can sleep well again. Thank you, Dr. Berg!!

I just got my test results and my blood was dangerously high in potassium levels. Since I couldn't eat 7 to 10 cups of greens as Dr. Berg recommends, I would supplement with two to four grams of potassium in the form of "NoSalt". The amount supplemented depended on how much potassium in my diet. It is my guess that my need for electrolytes decreased as I approached my ideal weight. During the first 3 weeks of Keto, the need for electrolytes may be higher. Be careful with supplementation. I was not too far away from being hospitalized for my condition. The good news is that I no longer need statins or high blood pressure medication and my diabetes is in remission after only 3 months and 40 lb. I have no plans of ever getting off of my keto diet but I will increase my caloric intake.

Dr Berg? If you are there? I started a high potassium diet 3 months ago and in just one day I was zapping around like I had taken a fast drug, and after 5 days my blood pressure went up to 180! The hospital put me on high blood pressure medication. I am addicted to this diet of high potassium. I am 55. Why did my blood pressure go up? I don't use salt. I do have heart disease had a heart attack 9 years ago. I am so glad I watched your video. They don't have potassium tablets over the counter here in Australia, so I grow my own beets now and shovel my vegies down every day. So addictive. And an added bonus was my piano playing is out of sight now. It must help muscle memory. My hands fly across the piano now. But now I have got a new problem. The tendons in my thumbs are painful. Never had this problem before. Hmmm what to do?

I love this man and I don't even know him. I added the potassium drink to my regime and my Blood Sugar is 98 and that's a big deal for me. Keto by itself just didn't get my numbers down. 1 scoop I sipped all day on it. I will do 1 scoop tonight I have dawn phenomenon and I wake up to high numbers let's see. Thank you Dr. Berg, hopefully I lose weight. I started keto about 2 weeks ago.

I am back Dr. Berg. I drank an extra bottle of potassium before bed and woke up and my morning Blood Sugar was 118 and not 190. I have/had Dawn Phenomenon and I am claiming my healing. I had my first cortisone shot 10/9/19 and it will be my last. I am terrified of needles and now I am sticking with keto and all you suggest. I actually fear the needle more than Type II Diabetes. I am on the right road now.

I use guacamole and cream of tartar with Himalayan salt to balance the flavor. I get about 2500 mg from just that snack. Do you agree or disagree with this snack on ketogesnic diet. Great video!

Dr. Berg The people’s Doctor... you are woven into the tapestry of my and many others landscape. You helped me learn keto 3 years ago, address my hypothyroid
Autoimmune issues and recently I had vertigo ( too much sodium without magnesium potassium and electrolytes) and I figured by increasing my potassium (your supplement) that my balance returned 90% with 24 hours!!!! Maybe 🤔 potassium could help others with vertigo?! The ears are aliened to the kidney in Chinese medicine. Maybe then inner ear balance is essential for those prone to Vertigo??? Your thoughts or video would be great... you are a Nobel laureate in my books!!! Many many thanks and gratitude!!!!!

I have found that "green sheets" of sea weed pressed flat. Seen on Sushi . Each one is 98 mg in balance! Very cheap and very tasty. Skip the rice, make a roll.

I started making a large container of salad and eating a fairly large bowl at least 2x's a day, I no longer want sweets. I was wondering if that is what helped. I know people that have to buy candy every couple of days, one thinks she just has to have chocolate, says she doesn't crave it but I know better. I ask her wouldn't it be better to live without the sweets and getting sick than having the sweets and not having the energy to walk up the steps when she comes home from work. She just thinks she would rather eat what she wants. You can't win. If you teach your daughter while she's young, then later she may come back to it if she gets away from it as she gets older.

    16oz ground beef
    Two baked potatoes
    and one avocado
will give you around 4,000-4,500mg of potassium a day if that helps anyone.

Spent 6 weeks in the hospital when I was in my thirties. The biggest reason for the extended stay was that my potassium would not level out and the Dr.s won't release you until it is normal. Took these giant potassium pills each day. Finally, had my partner bring in some tomatoes, spinach and a banana to me each day. After six weeks, within three days my levels were normal and I said bye bye to the hospital!
