Thanks! I just rescued a little ficus from Aldiss and got it for half the price. It’s a little bad condition. I pulled it out from the pot that it is in and the soil is dry but I don’t see bugs. I am going to re-pot it today, and give it the care that it needs. I hope he likes it here. :)

excuse me, how did you get your fiddle leaf to become that shape? Is there a way I can propagate one into that shape or do I have to buy a specific type?

Thanks for much for all this helpful info! I just rescued a 3ft fiddle leaf fig from the dumpster of my building and it had two stems but one was slightly shrivelled and brown so I trimmed it down. The other stem has about 4 big healthy deep green leaves on the top. one leaf had some browning on 2 of the edges of a leaf and all the leaves on the rest of the stem are gone. The plant smells so strongly of perfume. I washed and wiped down the leaves and now they don't smell like anything but the soil smells so strongly. I imagine it must be toxic to the plant, I'm wondering what to do. Should i water heavily for the next watering? Would it be too stressful to wash the roots and repot it with fresh soil? I really would love to save this guy. My place only has north facing windows so there's basically no direct sunlight so I have it sitting in the room that gets most light. It will only get very early morning sun for now until I move which will be months from now. The temp is typically 16C-19C and 45-60% humidity in that room. I have a hygrometer and a humidifier as well. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi, I recently purchased a fiddle leaf fig tree (about three weeks ago). And it has two trees or branches. One is growing perfectly and the other has it's leads all droopy. I water it evenly and rotate every week. Any idea why one is being effected? Thanks for your time.

Hi there, I have a question regarding watering. I have a moisture meter and when I inserted the entire probe into the soil it reads moist/wet. However, when the probe is inserted 2” into the soil, it reads dry. It has been 2 weeks since its last watering. Should I continue to hold off? I’ve read that watering should be between 7-10 days or based off of the moisture of the top 2” of soil. I skipped last week because the reading was “wet”.

Such as what on the leaf spots. We need to see what you're talking about. What should the reading be on the moisture meter? 50% dry, 60% what?

She holds a leaf as an example when she mentions browning. Doesn’t really help much when we can’t see the leaf.

Hello. Can you please give an indication to what the level on the moisture meter should show when it is time to water a Fiddle leaf? On a scale from 1-10, Let`s say in a 12" pot. Thank you.

Newbie i bought a fig and transfer it to a ceramic pot with a hole in the middle.
I put a layer of pepples with potting soil. I'm afraid its not draining. Should I re transfer?

I'm confused. You seemed to contradict yourself. In your other video about Fiddle Leafs (ua-cam.com/video/ixWX3B1rLx8/v-deo.html) you mentioned not to leave it in standing water for more than an hour, but in this video you said to let it sit in standing water for at least 24 hours. Which one is correct? Thanks!
