Hey Will. That was me (Simon) I never reported. I reviewed the replay and saw that we both drifted into each other. Was just heat of the moment message Apologies. Was going to message you after the race but did not get round to it. Was a good race up until then. Just annoying that such little contact sent me into the wall and out of the race. All the best for you future races. Your setup is nuts!!

Nice of you to apologize for the report comment Simon. However, after your review of the incident you state that you saw you both drifted into each other which is not correct. Will's car never moved toward you until after you contacted him. Did you watch the replay at the end of the video? You're clearly a stand up guy. Most would not comment after some of the other negative comments, but that being the case, why try to lay any blame at Will's feet?

100% not your fault. My best guess: The other driver doesnt have a tripple-screen setup but uses fairly accurate FoV and therefore couldnt see you to his left. Probably just reported thinking you were turning in on him when really it was him easing into you. Good race though.

Man, the graphics are beyond amazing. I started out with Pong in the 1970s. This is remarkable.
The real crazy part is Iracing isnt' even known for it's graphics. You should see some of the games that are known for being the best looking XD

Never seen a triple monitor setup line up as perfectly as this one, usually a lot of stretch and alignment issues but this one is as close to real life as you can get!

Just watched someone else sim racing for 30 minutes, rather than having a drive myself, and enjoyed every minute of it! I must be getting into this sim racing lark...

@Loopy Racing be good if the spotter would tell you "car right, and it's turning into you", especially as you're already easing to the left.
When I saw it I was thinking "crap, he's gonna do a pit manoeuvre"... How it ended up as a reverse pit move shows how aggressively he turned into him, though that bumpy stretch can cause all kinds of unexpected consequences.
The joys of Bathurst. I'm glad it's still largely a road circuit, they are dying out.
How long you been following Will ya crazy bastard? Besides Tidgney & David Perel, Boosted Media is the only other sim channel I support financially.
Will is awesome for advice anything PC related, he's friendly and approachable, and isn't a complete sim elitist.

Hope you're doing well mate. I'm just getting prepared to make 4K only content come GT7. Though I'm thinking of switching my Elgato 4k60 pro MK2 for an external device that allows easy play through, and has its own editing/streaming software.
Bloody hate (SL)OBS, never have an issue with the Elgato capture software. Unfortunately they didn't include anything for their 4K cards.
Also found a 4k60fps webcam. So you can see my ugly mug in UHD on the big screen.

You can always tell the people who don't even know how to file a report because they say its done before the race is even over, let alone the cool down period 😆
Just in case the comments weren't already clear, that Simon guy had poor situational awareness there and moved across over onto you - what's not impressive is the fact that for a mere racing incident Simon's initial response is to threaten a protest, as if that's meant to achieve anything!
His previous incident at Turn 2 when he fighting to keep the lead I would blame mostly on him also, it's possible to get 2 cars round there without incident but if the driver on the inside tries to outbrake the car on the outside, especially a car that likes to plow under hard braking like the Ferrari... well we all just watched the outcome of that
Exactly Daniel. The iRacing protest system is for deliberate incidents, not because you felt aggrieved by a racing incident. Must be so frustrating for iRacing to get these frivolous protests all the time.
Are you still using the Next Level motion sim and Tracc plus system?
A typical thing many Sim Racing Drivers Do when they made mistakes like this, leave door open T1. They instantly drive into the opponents for blocking or try to get their position back with hard contact. Just stupid driving and he got punched by karma.
In no way it was your fault! Nice gentlemen like take over in T1 by you with leaving half of the track space to the outside car. Very clean and a bit to fair. Remember normaly when hard racing you would go to the outside after T1 to have a good exit and prevent the reovertake chance to the car behind.

Just some advice bud your entry into the corners is early you need to enter the corners a little later for more exit speed

This is the first video I've seen from your channel, I'm just a casual gamer with zero experience in sim racing/ sim setups; and, all I want to say is, for like the first 15 minutes of the video, I honestly thought this was a VR set up. I could not believe it when I read some of the comments about this being a multi-monitor set up; upon closer, careful examination, I was mind blown. Like I was shocked in pure awe of what I was watching.
I'm still shocked. My jaw is still on the ground. I don't think I'll find it for a few weeks.
I think heavy drug abuse and addiction for a few years would still be cheaper than what you have here kind sir. It really is next level special.
I'm not even jelly; I'm just awe struck at how much passion you have invested into your hobby.

BMW M4 is quite hard. i think its harder than Porsche 911 GT3 (992) ..felt heavy
I’m still a total beginner at driving it, but it’s certainly quite a lot more predictable than the Ferrari so far. Haven’t put much time into the Porsche.

I think there was a wee bit of netcode going on. In the heat of the moment it probably seemed like you moved over, when in the replay it was clear that you didn't.

I can't tell where your setup ends and the virtual begins.
Tip : use the max fov in the virtual mirror. Yes it will be fisheye but for side by side racing its a charm

I am guessing he was upset that he went wide and left the door open out of turn 1 and decided to take some action. He will never admit to it which is what makes this so frustrating.

Honestly thought this was real-life at the beginning then I heard the sound. Crazy how poor the sound dynamics are by comparison to the visuals, even the cars just sound utter toss. I know people don't care as it's about how the game drives but it's dreadful.

I would imagine that from his cockpit view it may have looked like you were turning in. Only in the replay is it very clear that it was the initial impact first that pitched you to the right.

So i just recently started watching your videos and i really want to get into this type of sim racing . Been looking at upgrading and i think i know what i want to do. Thanks for keeping me entertained while i am sitting around working .
That was obviously not your fault. At 23:35 we see a classic moment of revenge, always a bad idea, but in this case it was also the wrong car he blamed. Karma dictated that he mostly took himself out, a bad day at the track for this guy. ;-)
I’ve learnt to hold my tongue (or keyboard) until I’ve looked at the replay. Been in the same situation many times where I thought it was the other drivers fault when it was obviously mine. No hard feelings.
@@boostedmedia A couple of days ago someone harshly blamed another guy for a crash, but I was behind them and saw it was his own fault. So we told him to watch the replay, and he said he couldn't do that because it made his game crash. Yeah... ;-)

The problem with cars is that you have a rear view mirror. I realize you need it because of the way is cars pass through the corners, you can't just shove everyone into or out of the corner. But it's distracting, that distraction is costing you time. And before you guys say that I'm a couch racer, I used to be a professional motorcycle racer.
Iracing trending again over banning people.. now that I finally have the hardware to play this game, I’m not lmao. Not spending top dollar to get banned over some foolery. Playing other racing games, I can see how some players can exploit little cracks and make it as if an incident is your fault

Those modern cars are soooo boring. Traction Control, ABS, it's so sad what racing has come to. They are ugly and boring, uninspiring, characterless. No real shifting, no real manliness.

That was iRacing's software that caused that! I've experienced and seen the exact same incident situation on iRacing before. He stopped drifting towards you in time to avoid contact but it was so close the software pulled you in to him as if he had made contact with your back right side. Neither of you were at fault! After it happened to us we started looking at any incidents that occured in our other races on iRacing and saw it happening a lot more often than we had expected to see. I'm not a programmer so I don't know if it's just the limitations of our current tech capabilities or a bug that needs correcting. Oh and that is the best looking setup I've ever seen bro 🤯... I think I am hopelessly 🥴 in love 😍 with your rig cause I can't stop thinking about using the s**t out of it! 🙈 Hahaha 🤣
The dude already said everything on the comments. But the reaction of people when crashes happen is something that I consider funny today.
When the F4 was released, I was about a month without racing and decided to try. I started P3, in the first lap I was very close to P2 and misses my break point. I could avoid crashing the P2 but ended hitting the P1. The guy become insane. And said that I did on purpose.
Of course. I've been spending my money and time for 18 months just waiting for the moment where I was P3 and that guy that I have no idea who is to start P1 and wreck him out of a D class 1000 SOF race 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What do you think about your line/car placement coming over Skyline? Can you grab a bit more ripple strip on the left in these cars. I thought you improved through there a couple of times toward the end, and there's time to be made there. However, the extra speed down the mountain makes for more of an adventure.
