@@vroomzoom4206 I’m a silver/gold ADC main I’m not used to seeing clean/snazzy mobility plays. The Ahris I see in my elo are usually useless mid/late game.
@@bears9574 ah Im around plat 3/4 and the ahris there are pretty decent, most of them could combo like this.
Its the wave management and other fundamentals they would mess up.
As a Neeko mid main currently at platinum I honestly feel like zed is one of the easy matchups. All you have to do is wait out the combo and the guy is done. There are MUCH worse champions to play against as a mage like yasuo with the damn wall that can block all your spells or irelia with her insane mobility and snowball potential, or akali with her broken ass kit that makes her insanely hard to hit with any skillshot. I personally ban lux or yasuo most of the times simply because they are played a lot and they are painfull to neeko for different reasons.

Neeko OTP here, Neeko absolutely shits all over Yasuo if you learn the matchup properly. Best thing to do is start E lvl 1. Use passive to turn into any ranged champ on ur team, push for lvl 2 first. As soon as you're 2, empowered E/Q/ignite/auto; as he'll have gone for E instead of W 2nd, boom he's half health and has to either recall and lose XP or risk dying to anything (gank, misstep, another combo...etc) regular trades in lane for example, don't ever lead with Q, it's most of ur dmg and one windwall and you're done. First, tag non-empowered autos on Yas when his shield is charged, bait the windwall with an empowered E as it's much faster than Q and harder to dodge, if it hits and you have empowered auto (this one WILL go through windwall) so tag him with an empowered auto and wither use W to move around the windwall for Q or auto, if electrocute hsn't gone off yet. If it has, wait for e to come back, then as soon as it does, go for an empowered E/Q, auto, auto, ignite (if u got it)
Other things to note, don't use ToB or Rav Hunter, use Cheap shot and ult hunter, the key is to be aggro asf against that guy cuz he'll outsustain u in a drawn out fight, he's got no mana to manage. You have enough dmg to kill his ass in a few seconds at any point in the game if u don't hesitate, never let him keep his shield charged. Always bring either MFB/scorch or PoM/CdG secondary, none of that resolve tree shit, none of that free stopwatch/boots/biscuits. If u want free sustain you're not playing Neeko right, she's full dmg, that's why her ult shield scales with AP, not health or mana. So just try that out and see how much easier it is to deal with trashuo (he used to be my nightmare matchup til I stopped trying to win the war of attrition and just focused on getting an early advantage and bullying his ass out of lane since lvl 2, you'll get lvl 6 first and before u know it you're level 9 to his lvl 7.

@@dennyo1563 I never said I have problems with yasuo. I said he is worse than zed because of the Wall, thats it. I would not be top 300 neeko if I would lose lanes. That almost never happens on plat elo, no matter the matchup.
The only time you ban assassins is when you're playing ranked solo adc and you dont trust your midlane

OMG, thank you so much. I mostly play assassins, Zed being my main, and it really hurts seeing people just complaining about everything without putting the minimum effort to learn. Funny how you mentioned qiyana, the champion i ban like 80% of the times despite of my pick (the other 20% being akshan... hate that guy)

that's fun enough until you play another lane and your midlane is feeding the Zed lvl 2
or alternatively you do play mid, he just walks bot and gets a free double kill

I feel like a lot of adcs often ban assassins. Personally I don't feel the need to ban an adc or support while playing bot, the much greater threat to me are assassins midgame
I ban Aphelios every game. No Rito, I refuse to have this 200 year bs in my game. It gives me much joy every champ select.
Trust me Aphelios is broken, everyone says he is gutted but trust me he is broken I saw the dude one shotting me with 2 items and auto attacks
Also in Aram I saw him get instant triple kill with Ult + his AOE weapon

Gotta say as an ahri main I came in here just to laugh at some random low elo player play horribly since I never struggle with zed anymore(largely in part to the various videos you've made covering him), but you guys still managed to show me a couple stuff I didn't knew.
Qiyana is more worth a ban for sure. Champ has no counterplay if they know what they're doing.

Hi Skillcapped, I have a question/potential guide idea for you. So I'm a Master tier player right now and I'd say my game knowledge exceeds my gameplay most of the time, which in itself isnt that much of a problem for me. However I'm struggling to stop myself from making simple mistakes, which could be explained in one small sentence (e.g. "should respect jungler on this wave" or in the context of a 1v1 like Camille vs Yasuo "should hold r for when yasuo throws his tornado to dodge it"). The problem isn't, that I don't know better, the problem is, that I won't have it in my brain consciously in the game (and then feel like an idiot after it happened because I KNOW better). I would love to see a guide/detailed reply to this.

In loading screen look at your opponent for the lane and think about the stuff he can do to you...also look at the jg and think to yourself where is the most likely point of attack for him

My first ever encounter with a Zed was literally last night. I got shunted into top in casual and the jungler chose Poppy, who was my pick for top, so I had to panic choose Dr Mundo, who I have never played before. So not only am I trying to apply what little wave control knowledge I have, but I'm also learning what his kit even does. Thankfully, my opposing Mordekaiser was worse than I am, completely disrespecting my health regen, and I was able to eventually farm from behind his minion wave to force him away from the XP. And then Zed comes out of nowhere with Voli and chunks my health entirely, in part because of the 3v1 and in part because he fed off my entire team. Now, I need to clarify, I'm not saying they're worse than me. I was absolutely the worst player on the team, I was just getting lucky in lane. But what I AM saying is that I don't know what I'm supposed to do when he, or really any champion, gets that fed.

When I first started playing last year I auto banned zed because that’s what everyone told me to do. Now that I actually play him and realize the true mid lane demons are kassadin akali and qiyana smh

low elo ahri vs zed is easy as u can just charm him when he gets out of ult or just ult and then charm if u arent sure of the timing. Ofc good zeds will avoid this, but this works pretty well in silver-gold.

Play Veigar into Zed. If he ults you, cast your cage so the edge of it is right behind you. As soon as he appears, he's stunned, you can burst him down.

recently destroyed a quinn as voli and they added me asking how i won what was supposed to be a free lane for them and the answer was simple, i rngage when they waste their disengage. since theyre super squidhy and voli has insane burst for a jugger, it was a free kill every time.
I only ban Zed because the rest of my team tends to feed him. Probably the wrong call as well but I don't struggle in-lane against him myself.

Same. After 1st back his full combo does 60% of your hp. Like cmon... how do you even play around that? You have to out play Zed EVERYTIME, but he only needs to get lucky ONCE.
@@lastnamefirstname2390 it is the opposite actually he has to outplay you and 100% that if akali , qiyana, fizz , etc landed thier full combo after first back can kill you so easily and also i never seen a zed do 60% of opponent Midlaner with one combo unless he pressed w2 then he would have nothing and you can abuse his mistake

1. Let ranged champs push you
2. Don't let them take your HP before level your level 3-4 spike, specially at lvl4, trading is viable for you.
3. Avoid all in until the enemy use their main abilities or CC (like Ahri charm). BAIT THOSE SKILLS when you are in safe conditions (W up, not under enemy tower, you know where enemy jungler is, etc).
4. If they are playing way too safe (like in the border of your LoS), hard push and roam.

@@mohamedchebbani46 he basically used to get %AD from killing champions with ult which made me him a more sustainable assassin in response to stacking armor and it made him a good scaling champion overall, now they removed it and they nerfed his E and Q so many times, he went from being able to do really good amount of AOE damage and easily assassinate backline to hardly being able to assassinate backline .

can you go deeper into talking about how zed has the MOST counter play of ANY assassin in the whole game. Im ready for that conversation =)
He does not have his untargetability on a 7 sec cooldown like that annoying, blue coloured salamander. His ult doesn’t oneshot everyone while pinning them to walls and stunning them. He doesnt get 15 second resets on kills like that dagger throwing monstrosity. No giant stealth cloud to run around in. All his dmg is in one ability, Q. don’t get hit by q, you don’t die. Literally one of the MANY counter play zed has. WEQ is used? Now he’s a melee minion. his E is a glorified auto attack the does no dmg and has a short slow. Compare that to fizz E that is a dodge PLUS dmg, fizz Q is a dash that also does dmg. And fizz W is a powered up auto. You complain that he has too much mobility. Talon can jump over walls. Akali exists,Kat exists, fizz exists etc. the champion is weak lmao. And then they even nerfed his ult so you won’t die to low elo zeds R E Auto Igniting you and y’all still have something to complain about 😭

The only reason I ever ban Zed is because I genuinely don't believe my team is capable of playing against him. That's most of my bans, actually.

If you think about it, low elo isn't even reliant on your micro plays on champions. If you have better macro knowledge you win more.
You need micro to win your lane which is step one to carrying
@@greengoomonkey true. you need some micro on champs but just as long as u know their strengths and weaknesses and powerspikes thats all you need. no flashy plays or combo. Thats why some weird builds can work because as long as you fill your role of the lane and know your game knowledge, you can still carry the game
or just play renkton whit bone plating and pta, get lvl 2 power spike wait for him to walk up and (fero) w q him, and bone plate makes sure he cant out trade you.

I've never vs'd a decent qiyana. I've prob played vs 20 or 30 and I don't get why people even play her. Pyke as an example I can see why he's very good based on his kit, but no one can play him mid in low ELO.

And Zed's winrate goes higher the higher in elo, which totally proves Zed isn't a bad champ at all, but also it's even better in higher elos.

the problem with champs like zed is that it doesnt mather if you dominate the game and win lane and spread your advantage, your bot lane is bad and WILL miss position and be one shoted by the zed multiple times and the enemy team will have more chance to win than if you banned zed that is a misunderstud champ in low elo and bot lane cant play against. when i elo job for my friends i always ban those snowbally champs because my team will always manage a way to feed or to make the game so long that they come back giving the enemy team a fighting chance even if its a small one, in lane those champs are bad its the off lane that weights in their favor, and on smurfs favor too, you always know that lane doesnt mather much if you can push fast and roam you will be fed really quickly because in low elo no one knows how to position.
Don't worry Mid lanners.. your friendly ADC will ban the Yas/Zed/Yone for you.. So we don't get 1 shot if you lose lane.
1:27 I tried that vs Katarina and she took half my hp with a Q-E-AA in my wave and went straight back.
It's like once they hit level 3 you're not allowed to be anywhere close to the wave without losing most of your hp in one combo.
Learn your spacing and stay away from her daggers, also chunking her a lot pre 3 helps a whole lot since she has to play safely
@@ashtonshephard3852 I always try to avoid her daggers, that game I stood off to the side of the wave so the dagger wouldn't land next to me.
Not being allowed close to my wave without dying is exactly the problem here. How is much space do I need? Sitting at maximum range as a corki didn't seem to change anything here.

You are right, but its not their lvl, its their big combo being off cooldown that means you're not allowed to be anywhere close to the wave.
Are you playing around her cooldowns? Bait her q by pretending to walk up to lasthit but turning around before you are actually in range. When her q is down then you harass her. Once you harass her to 85% hp she needs to have her w too or you can just all in her when she goes on you.
Also when you bait her q you make her push the wave and if you can freeze it near your tower she cant even go in for the combo.
@@flashnimi Yeah freezing usually helps, that's the most reliable strategy I've used, mostly unreliably because I'm not the best at it.
I didn't think about her W, which is what enables her to run away after a combo.

Dude what its basically the same except for the first 3 lvls. Youre now in zeds position farming with Q. Sure he can punish you if you walk up but after 3 you just jump somewhere when he WEQs and he is useless the next 20 seconds. You can rush zhonyas you can roam just like against any other champion so many things. Technically you dont even have to E away when he WEQs you just W for ms

i think the big difference is that Zed is VERY popular in low elo, while Qiyana really isnt, feels like a waste on ban to go for her
I feel the issue with that logic is that once you actually learn to play against zed, you actually want people to pick zed into you. Then, that higher pick rate becomes a blessing for you.
