I finally upgraded to a PS5 from my PS4, and I'm glad I did as it's made gaming even better, especially Cyberpunk 2077, my all time favorite video game
I've had a couple of Nintendo portable years ago, don't even remember what models, but have never really been into mobile. Began gaming in the early 80', made a break around 1990 and started again in 1997 with the first Playstation (bought one just for FFVII and RE2) and never got anything else. I currently have a PS2, a PS3, a PS4 and two PS5 ... just in case 😅
The PS2 has sold 160 million units as of April 2024 according to Jim Ryan. Prior to that, analyst Daniel Ahmed said the PS2 sales were anywhere from 158 million to 161 million.
I had the SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Advance Nintendo 64, Wii and PS2. I did play the PlayStation console, Sega Genesis or Megadrive as I knew it, XBOX PlayStation 3, 4, Switch, PSP DS and NES.
It's interesting considering that while the Big Three (Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft) dominate this list, they don't completely monopolize it. SEGA and Atari have also been big names in the console industry, and it's nice to see they're still hanging on in this list, at least for the time being. That said, I do feel you folks should eventually make a list of top console platforms that were NOT made by the Big Three.
The original Xbox was my first ever console I played on back in the day when I was a kid, and I owned soo many games like Need For Speed, X-Men Legends 2, Bruce Lee Quest of the Dragon Scooby Doo games, Shadow The Hedgehog and also Burnout! 🙂❤️🎮
I literally miss the original Xbox. I used to play Midtown Madness 3 and Amped and Lego Star Wars the Video Game, which were my favorites. When I heard that the Xbox Series X would have backwards compatibility, I saw a glimmer of hope. I ended up buying Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on the Xbox, but it unfortunately didn’t work.
I got a PS4 Slim close to 4 years ago, and I have been considering upgrading to a PS5, but my family convinced me that my PS4 still has quite some time left before Sony shuts down its servers
The Switch is my favorite Gaming Console of all time and for a good reason I grew up with The Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles and the Switch is a combo of all of them its stronger than the 360 and PS3 and you can play with it on the go like the DS!
@@I_love_MarioBros I originally wanted to get one, but during the pandemic, the switch went up to $500+. It also doesn't help that even with physical games, sometimes it's a digital code. Ps2 for me is just awesome. Still my favourite console so far even years later. The sheer amount that system got right imo in terms of sheer content and just fun factor was fucking insane. Just so damn good.
I'm disappointed that the SONY PS VITA wasn't on the list. I own a PS3, PS4, PS5 & a VITA. In my opinion the VITA is the greatest handheld game ever made even to this date.

I love to play.
My first console was the Atari 2600 and my second was a Sega Genesis. After I bought my first desktop PC in 2001, I only played games on that, including World of Warcraft. And then I started buying smartphones and played games on that. I'm thinking in a few more years we should not bother with consoles.
Hoping Nintendo Switch takes over PS2. Absolutely adore the PS2, but the fact that its sales were boosted due to the fact it was the cheapest DVD player on the market at the time. At least the Nintendo Switch would be there for being nothing but a game console.
Wild to think that if this was top 25 you'd have every Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo systems (save for the Virtual Boy) but wouldnt get to the second Sega system. Poor Dreamcast, it deserved better.
I have Xbox 360 (Slim Model), Nintendo Switch (First Version) and PS5 (OG Disc Version) and I guess that's enough for me at least for the next 2 gaming console generations.
If ET didn't doom Atari, they would probably still be going strong to this day. I'm just surprised how Superman didn't doom the N64. Anyone who played and finished that bullshit deserves at least $1,000.

@@zachatck64 Sony is not the one taking down game Emulators, DMCA takedowns on youtube videos, fan projects, fan remasters... basically taking down whole internet while they sell you same game without any enhancement for 20th time for 60$. atleast Sony puts some efforts into their remasters.
PS2 never die ✊
Ps2 and xobx 360 will forever be my top 2 for now anyway good list 🎮
My PS2 was my high school graduation gift!
ps2 and psp were my dream. never came true.😢 also switch is new dream console. I hope they will release it in India. Sales will go up.
I finally upgraded to a PS5 from my PS4, and I'm glad I did as it's made gaming even better, especially Cyberpunk 2077, my all time favorite video game
I still remember the PS2 was my first video game console back in 2001. I was 7.
I had all of these consoles and handhelds.
Plus others.
Still have 99% of them with me all these years later.
Even the 2600 is still working.
Game Boy Advance SP was how I played classic games, like Yoshi's Island and the Legend of Zelda.
The PlayStation 5 and every other console of its generation doesn't deserve to make this list. The generation has provided absolutely nothing.
PS5 is keeping pace with PS4's sales trajectory so it will probably sell 120 million lifetime.
I still love my PS2 and all the games with it. God of war was one of the best
Surprised GameCube wasn't on this list. Also I feel handheld consoles should be on a different list lol.
Sales of 21.74 million means it's Nintendo's second worst selling system (Wii U did worse) although it doesn't deserve to be.
The original Xbox was my first ever console I played on back in the day when I was a kid, and I owned soo many games like Need For Speed, X-Men Legends 2, Bruce Lee Quest of the Dragon Scooby Doo games, Shadow The Hedgehog and also Burnout! 🙂❤️🎮
My ps2 still works just fine :)
PS2 was fire omg
I absolutely love the thought that PS1 was supposed to be a snes add on.
Who thinks Nintendo Switch will dethrone PlayStation 2 for the best selling console of all time?
The psp beat the GBA, PSP sold 82.5M and GBA sold 81.5M and also PS2 sold 160M not 155M, it was officially announced recently.
Do a 'top 10 Call Of Duty' games
I had a DS, Switch, PS1, Wii, Xbox 360, GBA, and PSP.
I own half of the list:
PS1 - PS5
Gameboy Advance - Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo 64
Wii
All of that and no Nintendo Switch? Eh I ain't complaining I think your saving up for the Switch 2 and if no then I ain't complaining
@@I_love_MarioBros I originally wanted to get one, but during the pandemic, the switch went up to $500+. It also doesn't help that even with physical games, sometimes it's a digital code.
Most of the games i've been interested on switch, i own or plan to buy for PS4/PS5. As for exclusives, I haven't been too impressed. The Wii U may be a disappointment, but I loved the catalog more.
@@RoronoraZoro666 ive own a switch for 7 years +, I still belive Wii U had better first party games than Wii U, but most Wii U games were porten to switch, without any Wii U ports to the switch, switch wouldn't be that great at all. even breath of the wild is a Wii U game that was supposed to come out in 2015
I own:
PS2 - PS5
Xbox 360 - Series X
NES, SNES, N64, Wii, Switch
Gameboy advance, Nitendo DS, Nintendo 3DS
I seriously need plenty of composite/component/HMDI inputs 😅
Sony loyalist here
PS 1-5
PSP
PS Vita
Plus
Switch
XBOX X
Game Gear
I love to game ❤
I have an Xbox One S, Nintendo Switch OLED and a... decent PC. Out of all three, I get a lot of play out of the Switch, being portable and having 19 physical games. I just played Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet this morning!
Had the PS1, PS2, PS3, Gameboy (not color), Family Computer (not on this list). Currently have a PS4, NSwitch, and Steam Deck (not on this list)
Ps2 for me is just awesome. Still my favourite console so far even years later. The sheer amount that system got right imo in terms of sheer content and just fun factor was fucking insane. Just so damn good.
Growing up(n64,ps1,2,psp)
Currently (psp vita,ps2,3,4,5,psp)
2 or 3 consoles I own the Sony PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 4
I'm disappointed that the SONY PS VITA wasn't on the list. I own a PS3, PS4, PS5 & a VITA. In my opinion the VITA is the greatest handheld game ever made even to this date.
PS2 is the highest selling because it was and is the best. The Wii selling more units than the PS3 and Xbox 360 is wild.
I have 48 consoles in my Collection 2ps1, 2 ps2's, 4 ps4's, 3ps5's, 2 colecovision,s, 3 Nintendo's, 3super Nintendo's /w one Nintendo, and snes being a nintoaster, and snes toaster 2dreamcast's, 2will's, 2 gamecube's , 2sega saturn's, 2 sega cd's model 2, and cdx, ps4vr, 9ps4's with 7 out of 9 being limited edition consoles, 7 xbox's, 1 xbox, 1 360, 2 xbox 1's one being a limited edition halo 5 guardian, and 3 xbox 1 x's, 1 project scorpio edition, 1 gears 5, and cyberpunk 2077. I love to play.
I had a lot of game consoles back in my days. PS2, Wii, and Nintendo DS. Now, I have an Xbox 360.
My first console was the Atari 2600 and my second was a Sega Genesis. After I bought my first desktop PC in 2001, I only played games on that, including World of Warcraft. And then I started buying smartphones and played games on that. I'm thinking in a few more years we should not bother with consoles.
I only owned 5 from this list, Family Computer/Nes, Sega Megadrive II, GB, PSP and 2DS/3DS.
I still have a PS4 UNIT 500 GB. And playing re4 original re1 re5 gta definitive edition and soul calibur 6.
Hoping Nintendo Switch takes over PS2.
Absolutely adore the PS2, but the fact that its sales were boosted due to the fact it was the cheapest DVD player on the market at the time.
At least the Nintendo Switch would be there for being nothing but a game console.
The Switch offers nothing in comparison though
@@knuclear200x Games, it offers games. Fun ones too, you should try it sometime.
The Switch has repeat buyers because it breaks after 12 months!
My launch day PS2 is still working like new!
@@alexcoupe. cope.
@Malet89 Switch still has repeat buyers though. Because they think handheld only and a large screen is useful and worth $50 more
My God, how much money would I have today if I never played a video game. I owned half that list and played in the arcade before any of them existed.
Wild to think that if this was top 25 you'd have every Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo systems (save for the Virtual Boy) but wouldnt get to the second Sega system. Poor Dreamcast, it deserved better.
I was really waiting for the Atari Jaguar to be mentioned in the number 1 spot. 😂😂
_(Red Screen of Death)_
Why did you make this video almost immediately after I bought a PS5
I have Xbox 360 (Slim Model), Nintendo Switch (First Version) and PS5 (OG Disc Version) and I guess that's enough for me at least for the next 2 gaming console generations.
I do own a lot of the consoles in this video, even some that were not mentioned.
PS2 - PLAYSTATION 2 is the G.O.A.T. Greatest Of All Time 🤔💭 🎮🥇🏆🏅👍💯
Nice video
I have a PS classic, 2- PS2 , PS3 Slim, PS4 base, PS5 base, Xbox 360, and a gaming laptop
If ET didn't doom Atari, they would probably still be going strong to this day. I'm just surprised how Superman didn't doom the N64. Anyone who played and finished that bullshit deserves at least $1,000.
I own each of these consoles. Funny enough I've been giving my wii u the most attention recently lol
Does X-Box 360 selling a lt of units really count? Since the Red Ring of Death was a thing?
Not just the dreaded three flashing lights, a lot of games were scratched up.
