Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. Gotta love that the best stroller cleaning vid was made by a dad! All the other vids are moms using chemical sprays and scrubbing with a brush while leaving the textiles on the stroller, terrible idea, any moving parts will rust very quickly and ruin your stroller, not to mention risking chemicals in contact with your baby's skin as hosing it down is completely inadequate..

    Thanks so much! I picked up a pram from marketplace and didn't realise the previous owner was both a pet owner and a smoker. This is a thorough and practical video. Cheers.

    I have washed my stroller a few times, (nothing on it is detachable) and thought I was doing a good job untill the back of it broke, my husband cut it open to replace the board and it was covered in mold spots.
    I am aware of the neuro toxicity of mold and was heartbroken.

    Question: Can you use bluing liquid for the rusted areas, after rust has been removed?
    I'm thinking of using it on the axles and wheels for our pram, since it has been so badly rusted. It's hard to get the laquer spray everywhere, and in some areas, it's chipping off. Bluing liqud also prevents rust, which is perfect in our weather condition. My sister in law, says I should try it, and she works in an automobile shop.

    If soapy water doesn't work for a stained seat, can I use more stronger chemicals?

    Can you show us how you removed the rust from the screws/rivets? I know you said use foil but it’s a little difficult to get in there in finding. Do you have any tips? I just got a 2012-2014 uppa baby vista … the manufacture date says August 2015 but the serial number ends with 2012 and I’ve noticed the textiles match the 2012 models. THANK YOU SO MUCJ

    Any tips on cleaning the view window on the canopy on these strollers? I've got 3 baby joggers and all three have a cloudy film on them and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it cleaned.

    I have a cleaning question I'm dealing with now. I have an older Emmaljunga stroller that has leatherette or faux leather upholstery. The hood is leatherette on the outside, however it has a cloth fabric liner on which staining has developed while the stroller was stored. What would be the best method of getting the inside cloth lining clean and stain free that wouldn't damage the exterior leatherette? Appreciate any suggestions.

    • @BarnevognverkstedNo
      @BarnevognverkstedNo  Рік тому +3

      It depends a lot on the stain. A lot of the time there's just a lot of dirt built up between the 2 layers so even though one tries to keep cleaning the inside-lining by hand, you wind up with larger waves/spots of discoloring. Other sorts of stains are specific like mildew or rust, which can be a bit tough to get rid of and need specialist cleaning products. The best thing to do if you're willing to invest the effort into the renovation is to look for the stitches and carefully cut out the lining, then clean or replace it separately and sew it back in (this is serious work though, so unlikely to pay back other than in the enjoyment of the job itself). :)

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo Thank you for the suggestions. This is one of my own Emmaljungas, so money wouldn't be an issue. There's no metal hood members to cause a rust stain where the staining is located. Possibly could be some type of mildew staining from some organic material that may have been in the material. I have a brand new vintage Emmaljunga stored right beside it and that one has no staining on the hood liner which leads me to believe something was on the other liner that caused the staining to develop over time.

    I wish mine cleaned up that nice, but most of the damage on my city mini was sun damage. She isn't pretty, but it's still a great stroller!

      if fabric is faded and if you are lucky enough to have a black one. Buy some fabric spray paint. mine came out like new. Make sure to cover the name or white edgings with tape. It really helps it look like new.
