i have gotten into the habit of deleting all social media apps (youtube, reddit, facebook) from my phone and only using them through my phones browser. it's much less convenient than the actual app and makes it harder to mindlessly binge content but still gives you access in case you need/want it.
same! I did this with Twitter (not really on purpose, but works either way lol) and I've found that I'm less likely to go check a tweet or randomly scroll on there now.
Do Not Disturb mode on my phone changed my life. I remember having my phone with me whilst I am trying to work but I kept getting notifications or things come through my phone and I kept checking my phone. Once I started putting my phone in Do Not Disturb mode whilst working, I found that I was able to enter the flow state easier and stay in the flow state to complete my work. When being distracted prior, the struggle with working was that it was difficult to go into a flow state since I kept breaking focus.
✨ tip ✨ if u find yourself addicted to your phone turn your phone to greyscale! also as a communication major, it was interesting to see your perspective on how you can take back control of your device. My boyfriend gave me an awesome tip for email, instead of paying for a service. Since it's the start of a new year, he just told me to move all the old emails into a folder and label it "all emails before 2022". So now I have a clear inbox & can start going through the relevant emails that come in & unsubscribe from what I don't want. All while not being super stressed from the 2-3K plus emails unread in my inbox. Plus if I ever actually need the emails again I can still go back and find them.
Do Not Disturb is by far my favorite phone feature. I have it scheduled every day from 9:30pm-8am, and I turn it in any time I’m working. I notice how when I should be concentrating on my work (my business) I notice how side tracked I get when it comes to my phone.I always stop and ask myself, would I do this on the job? We deserve the same attention we give to our 9-5s! When ever I try to focus I put it up. DND is a great idea!
Hi! Thank you for your tips! They work! I tried everything you said today about notifications, dnd etc. it worked. I was super productive. My day was sooooo good! One of the most productive and best days in my life. I’m a 15 year old boy. Entering high school..thank you for the tips. Oh and I’m could you link your wallpaper, it’s fantastic!. Have a great day.

Omg just needed this rn. Your videos make life so much. Keep inspiring. Much love. ✨❤️
I just transitioned from Android to IOS and this safari reader view option is sooo nice, I spend a lot of time reading articles and it’s so irritating when there are ads and random stuff everywhere
Wowww i love you already. I've been trying to better myself mentally, spiritually, and physically. I'm trying to be more disciplined as 2020 really brought me to my worst. Thank you so much! your video is so hepful
I agree with the beginning of this video, I used to get technology and it just used to be fancy toys to do the same things, social media, etc.. cam to realize that I could do anything and the technology I have can be used for a purpose. So I'm starting a design business instead of just appreciating good design I want to make it. Great video, you have a lot of good tips. :)
