Dumb phones (ultra-minimalist devices) are a cool new trend, but I am just a bit too in love with the convenience and features of my smartphone to give it up entirely. As I say in the video, there is a middle ground between "using a brick for a phone" and "allowing your phone to completely take over your life and attention". You can find what works for you!
In this video I'm sharing the adjustments I've made to my phone: setting it to grayscale mode, changing the language, deleting distracting apps, using OneSec to block access to social media apps, etc.... plus, I take you through a full tour of my home screen setups and favorite apps!

I love these videos! I can’t remember how long ago it was but the first time I saw an earlier one of your phone tour videos where you showed how you only have a few crucial apps on the Home Screen, it changed my life! I used to be one of those people with every single app meticulously organised into folders, either by theme or colour, but when I realised the App Library exists I hugely cut down my Home Screen and it’s not so overwhelming and only has the apps I use daily and useful widgets. Deleting social media apps a while ago too has really helped me steadily spend less time on them, and now I basically never go on my personal social media. Anyway, thanks for sharing ❤️
5:09 loved what you said ‘bout upgrading your iPhone! In 2021 I went from an iPhone 8 to the 12 (base model) and I don’t see me changing it in the near future ‘cause as you said iPhones are all the same now except for very few features, so it’d be a huge waste. Secondly, I really love this phone, it has pretty much all I need and I found my own personal way to make it less distracting 💜
6:42 another cool period tracker is called lively cycle which also shows hormone levels, gives tips for cycle-syncing, suggests specific foods to eat / ways to move / activities you'll probably like during each phase & recently got the feature to share some information with a partner, maybe you'd like that one as well :)

another thing that i found that really helps is turning off tap to wake and raise to wake, so when you want to go scrolling you conciously have to press the power button, not just picking it up or tapping the screen
finally a fellow iPhone 12 Pro user! i don’t plan on upgrading till the 17 comes out so it’s nice to see people not pushing me to upgrade to the latest and greatest

i literally deleted all social media apps from my phone and use my macbook to check social media. I have set a timer everyday at 7pm to check social media for 30 minutes. So that has been great for me :))
I also addicted to Connections, Wordle and Mini!

GREYSCALE supremacy!!!!!!! color phone now is too bright and saturated and hurts my eyes! i do have a double tap feature on the back of my phone so i can toggle grayscale off occasionally to go into color to see a picture someone sent me, but otherwise i prefer grey now!
