Can I just say….. WHAT THE FUCK??? Lol I can’t believe that I have never seen this before! I’ve been listening to Kansas since 1976; first saw them live at the Philadelphia spectrum on the monolith tour in 1979. Seeing Steve sing One Big Sky with Morse and bringing up the servicemen for the Steppenwolf song; absolutely fantastic. Thank you so much for posting! Just made my day.
Especially on "One Big Sky" you can hear Billy Greer taking the higher octave during the chorus giving Walsh a break as all of the years of singing his butt off were beginning to take it's toll on his incredible pipes. This became more and more prevalent, Greer taking the higher octave chorus parts on every song, as time went on until our vocal hero Steve Walsh rode off into the sunset after his final performance with KANSAS on 8/16/ 2014. He took his final bow, waved a couple of times to the crowd and walked away. Walsh sacrificed his voice for the people. He is writing/recording at home in "retirement" but I wonder if we will ever hear any of it. Personally, I loved his solo efforts Glossolalia (2000), Shadowman (2005) and Black Butterfly with Jerome Mazza (2017). They are all outstanding, stellar musicianship and vocals.
Billy used to do that all the time in Walsh's later years. Walsh sounds great here. But by this time, his voice had changed compared to what it was until around 1982.
One Big Sky they opened the NYC show with it….I swear it was as if Steve Walsh had springs under his feet….he came from the balcony singing the howling part from Leftoverture and in 10 seconds he was on the stage jumping around…it was a great show…
ANYTHING of the Steve Walsh years with Kansas live needs to be put on You Tube! Keep it up Eric - I didn't even know these were on here!
FINALLY, more of The Steve Walsh workout video has surfaced! Thanks for posting!!
...Just add cocaine...and he's Jack LaLane

A very fresh-faced Billy Greer!
All the drugs certainly didn’t help either.
AMAZING. They had a great night...
Thanks so much. I love this band and Steve Walsh is a huge vocal influence.

I've never seen this footage before and I thought I had everything Kansas live video related. Was this ever commercially released on tape or DVD?
Who is the guy playing the yellow guitar?
Yes, I want to know too!
Kevin Kenworthy I believe. No idea who he is
@@andrewinedh: No there's another guy there besides Morse and Williams. I think someone explained this to me before but I forgot the guy's name.
Rich Williams he was an original member.
@@johnserrato9825: There is another guy who is not Williams, or Livgren or Morse.
