I follow Kansas closely since I saw them with Queen in mid 70's. The absence of key members has takin it's toll. Now it appears one of my favorite drummers has thrown in the towel Phil Ehardt. They were magical in the early days. Legendary.
I saw the opening show for the Monolith tour in Huntsville, Alabama. Kansas ended the set with A Glimpse of Home, a true Livgren masterpiece…my mouth was wide open in sheer astonishment.
I’m glad this amazing music is still being performed! Cool they opened with Belexes, a song Steve Walsh noted as being the hardest Kansas song he ever sang.
The "dynamics" are different, the touch.....but he is vicous, a wonderful future replacement, and a superb drummer !!! Quite sure Phil Ehart would agree.
A couple of bands or acts to see live in concert? Is either “Porcupine Tree” or “Steven Wilson” in Concert!!! Both really should impress U how they are live or they excellent concert DVDs to maybe Buy?
I missed out on seeing porcupine tree live when they were pretty close to where I live. I have several VD concerts with them, and they are all excellent.
@@SteveAuger2021 It sounds like U haven’t ever seen PT or Steven Wilson live before in Concert? If U haven’t they are must see & hear Concerts live! P. S. We are going to see and hear Kansas in Waukegan IL in April 2024… Keep rocking Mr Music 193 and Happy New Years!!!
Steve a big THANK YOU for posting this, was unable to attend friends said it was awesome!! Icarus II and The Pinnacle always get to me they played them flawlessly!!
Yup, hate to be a purist, but this ain't Kansas. That band will never be again. It was great while it lasted. This is something else, probably should be called the Rich Williams Kansas tribute.
Lol 2 original members say it's Kansas and ALL of the surviving members have given their blessing on the continuation of the band using the name Kansas so who is anyone other than the band themselves to say what they are? You don't want to listen or support them that's your prerogative. Your loss. As Billy Greer usually says during the show- its about the music and has always been about the music 🎸🎶🎻🎶🎹🎶🎤🎶 Welcome to Kansas!
Just going to guess, ya know....that all the Fans Love Joe Denizon.....vocals, violin, guitar work. And that ALL of the Band Kansas LOVE this guy. P.S.....too rigid in what manner? Or were you just looking for THIS kind of reply?
The Pinnacle???!!! Like the best song EVER written!!!!

Saw them in ‘78. Thin Lizzy opened. Probably the most underrated band in history. Enormous talent. Will love them till the day I die.
Hey, me too! It was Shreveport, Louisiana for me. First concert.
Midwest guy here. Huge fan. It is so cool to see somebody agree with me. One of the most underrated bands in history l o l.
Saw them then as well. L.A. Forum. 11th row, dead center.
What a band, solid & masters in
their own right.
Love you guys!
A Glimpse of Home…wow…choked up on that ending. Another Livgren signature masterpiece ending. A real treat that they did that!

I'm a big Phil Ehart fan an I gotta say that his drum tech is doing a fantastic job filling in for him.
Thanks very much 😀

@@andante005- Umm… as the band’s manager, Phil picked him.

Love Kansas. Seen them 12 times. Rich looks so tired.
very nice and what kind camera ?
I heard that Billy Greer has retired as well. Kansas has become a tribute band, albeit an amazing one.
Ronnie is a bleeping good frontman!!!
He has a great voice and sounds, represents Kansas like back in the day.
That is not Kansas…
for sure, just 1 original member of the band....

There are 2 originals, Phil played later in the show.
There are 2 originals, Phil Ehart is injured he plays only a couple of songs while recovering.@@richardperusse4299

Don't care for this violinist, too rigid.
