Never have I felt someone deserved a hire after the fact than Mike McDaniel. He's absolutely amazing as a coach and person

    • @finsanity3058
      @finsanity3058 9 місяців тому

As a person? Sure, great guy. As I assume the other 12 coaches after Shula were mostly great people. Coaching? Let McDaniel win one single playoff game at least before you crown the guy.
It never ceases to amaze me how dumb fellow Fin Fans are. Tua is the #1 QB to these retards too. reality: Tua is near the bottom of top 12 in Talent of the current starting QBs going based on pure visible talent.
      Patrck Mahomes
Justin Herbert (the pick that was staring us in the face)
      Lamar Jackson
      Brock Purdy
      Jalen Hurts
      Joe Burrow
      Jason Allen
Please tell me with a straight face Tua is the same caliber?
Then there are second tier QBs where Tua belongs
      Kirk Cousins
      Dak Prescott
      Trevor Lawrence
      Jordan Love
      Tua Tagovailoa
The only difference between the 2nd tier QBs and Tua (besides all of them having better arm strength) is that the Dolphins are hyper infused with offensive weapons. I will bet my house that Tua will drop from the Top 3 top the middle of the pack without Tyreek Waddle and Mostert, Achane, Wilson jr.

“‘Many coaches feel entitled to the power they have.” - Mike McDaniels.
As a raiders fan, Josh McDonalds was the first coach that came into mind. I wish the Raiders had a coach like Mike Mcdaniels!!! Dolphins fans y’all got a winner at head coach!
    Let’s Go Raiders!!! 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

I'm a Dolphins fan and my wife a Raiders fan. So wonderful to have a true n upstanding man for a coach in Mike. It feels good to root for the men in the Dolphins locker room cause theyre being lead correctly, both in football and life, from the top down. I'll root for the Raiders anytime it doesn't negatively effect my Dolphins, but Josh made Raider football almost unbearable to watch. You've gotta be ecstatic he's gone, she is! At least Antonio has valuable knowledge of what it's like to leave your heart on the field. Let's hope for the Raiders sake that he is the next true leader of men.

As somebody who’s been a fan of the dolphins for well over 40 years and lived in North Miami Beach for over 30 where the orange bowl was part of my upbringing, to hear this kind of story coming from somebody credible like Rich Eisen about the team that’s been part of my life is a beautiful thing to hear. In this day and age where there’s so much bad news on TV every where you turn to think that this quality human being is leading my team not only in innovation but a leader in an awkward but such an effective way and doing so I hope everybody would watch this and take it in this is food for your soul… Peace out

Not just because of any winning, but it's very settling to root for good people, upright men. He leads all other men in not only football, but LIFE! In the bigger scheme of things this man is leading men to a better life after football. Who wouldn't run through a wall for this guy? He will get true men's ultimate efforts, what else could you ask for? This team and organization is becoming something special. It just feels different this time. I'm in awe of this.
THIS is what true leadership looks like. The man Rich describes truly CARES about the men he leads... he expresses faith and confidence in their abilities.... he trusts them to do what needs to be done.... he supports them when they need support and clearly states what he needs from them.
Corporate and sports culture in North America is all about hyper-manliness, authoritarian, ego-maniacal bullshit that RARELY works in bringing out the best in your people. What McDaniel is doing might sound like left-wing touchy feely crap to some people, but it is SUPER effective.
Give people hope... give people confidence... show people trust and respect and support... and if they feel that to be sincere, they would do ANYTHING for you.

It’s like a movie, man. It’s so cliche and right out of a 90s sports drama and I’m hooked. Just imagine the narrative of Tua being put down by the country and all it took was one person to believe in him again - from being told he should’ve been replaced to holding the Lombardi. Mike McDaniel is IT, my friends.

But seriously, as a lifelong saints fan, Mike is who i, and i think a lotta saints fans, thought Sean Payton was. Turns out hes the opposite of Mike as we see up there at Mile High. Forcing players to a play a system instead of using the best of what you have in those players abilities. Dolphins had it so bad for so long, I'm happy for them 🤝 Geaux Saints

Flores used to talk about leading by serving. This guy lives it. And what he said about why they traveled early, what he said earlier about the importance of any individual game, the way he's managing injuries has me convinced that he's doing everything possible to win the 2023 NFL season. Oddly, most coaches don't seem to think like that.

Rich, you keep saying 'self-awareness for others', but I think 'empathy' is a better word to catch what McDaniel has, and is urging his players to practice. Doing one's best to imagine what other people see, what they experience, what they need - how a situation would make you feel in their place, and then operating from that place, while also communicating with that person to see if you're *right*. All season, I've been thinking about how much nicer it must be to play for the Dolphins, right now, than almost any team in the league - on just a get up and go to practice vibe, on the kind of community they are all in. It's impressive stuff, I hope we see more of it throughout the league.

My hope for Olovsky is he takes this platform to educate the indicters on why Tua is an elite QB, the traits, the specific unique skillset, the nuances, the fakes, the peripheral measurements of his players speed relative to the field in his game, the manipulation of defenders with eyes, hips, shoulders and head, the footwork, and the icing of the cake, the overall SPEED for which the samoan sniper operates his position and orchestrates this offense.
Thats what makes this QB special, and that word is not being used in the national media when it comes to Tua, only a ''special'' QB who does all these things, as fast as Tua can.

The problem with both the Buffalo and Philadelphia games was that they were both on the road and were missing key players on the offensive line. Eikenberg was playing his first game ever as a center and on top of that Miami requires the center position to call out the line plays. If Miami can keep their OL healthy. They will go a long, long way. Currently, it’s been a struggle to do.

I'm glad Mike McDaniel recognized and sees all that about tua? Even his elite coach Trent Dilfer said the same thing about tua About the Elite 11. One thing I love about tua his not afraid to throws tight windows between the two defenders .. I'm trying to tell y'all that tua is a ball placements, he can throws, he can scramble using his legs, that's why Tyreek Hill and McDaniel said tua balls are catchable? Alot of people doesn't know all this things about tua? And the best of tua is revealing to the world that he is the best QB in the NFL? Imagine if tua and McDaniel win a Superbowl? Is going to be a very special and is going to be a lot of stories about these team? Especially Uno?

McDaniel stopped the scoring at 70 on the Broncos when they could have gone for the record. Very classy.

Actually, he asked the captains. They are the ones who said don't go for the 3.

Absolutely love Mike. And only like him more and more each time we see him speak and how Dan Soder speaks of him. I think there's a world where Mike is the one who became a stand-up comedian.

This story rings true in Europe where they where they play football (soccer in the US) and the coaches brings and installs their own concept. The coach and the players both have egos, often clash but all feel pressure to succeed. So coaches often find other players and throw away players, its an endless cycle.
Rarely does a player develop because coaches buy made players with specific traits and play them.

Do you guys recall when Jimmy Johnson once told a player in Dallas, that the asthma field was over there (pointing in the direction of the parking lot). That being said, I’m not picking or calling out Jimmy, but that’s how old school coaching was. Coaching by fear and intimidation.

McDaniel knows how to build a culture. I want him on the dolphins as long as possible because I see him as the next Don Shula. Talent may fade with the playerbase and salary caps, but the level of integrity this man shows is enduring.

As a long time NFL fan from Germany (who unfortunately won't be at the game though), I absolutely love the mindset McDaniel is approaching this and taking an actual competitive positive from this extra travel "burden" 👏🏻 awesome coach overall, wish him all the best with this Miami team (and wherever else he may go after)

This may seem odd. I know they’re from different backgrounds. But his upbringing, only child, tough upbringing/split parents, dedication to his craft, to do everything you can to get into the field, being way ahead of the competition. And to be successful and universally accepted is very similar to Steven Spielberg.

Coach Mike also had another situation growing up....he is of mixed race, and he sometimes felt like he wasn't part of either race. He's said before he was bullied by some kids....white & black ones, that think he wasn't "one of them".....that's tough to grow up around.

I became a Dolphins fan in 1970 because of an interview I saw with Don Shula. I like McDaniel even more than I liked Shula.
