Our issue was Team USA relied too heavily on the three ball which is why they occassionally struggled throughout the tourney. The offense was predictable & often stalled when the threes weren't falling. Kerr also kept running weird lineups that either hurt us defensively or was disjointed offensively. Fortunately our collective & individual talent overcame those issues.

In the nba playoffs when a team has to do everything it takes to win, you're realistically rotating 8-10 guys. This makes sure you have optimum minutes to the best players on the team. That's 48 minutes, fiba games are 40 minutes. This isn't an all star game when your first priority is to keep everyone happy with minutes, this is the Olympics. Only thing with the dream team is they're essentially all superstars but it doesn't mean they be treated the same. With Tatum and Halliburton, there are people in front of them.

They let Tatum play 20min against Brazil and he scored 5 points. 9 players scored more points than him, 7 played less time than him, two played 21min, only 1 min more/basically the same time and all the other 7 played less. He's barely the 10th best player on the team. 23min against Puerto Rico, the most time of all players, and still 3 guys scored more and another 2 the same, all though he played the most minutes. They should not let him join the team in 2028.

Our issue was Team USA relied too heavily on the three ball which is why they occassionally struggled throughout the tourney. The offense was predictable & often stalled when the threes weren't falling.
Kerr also kept running weird lineups that either hurt us defensively or was disjointed offensively. Fortunately our collective & individual talent overcame those issues.

In the nba playoffs when a team has to do everything it takes to win, you're realistically rotating 8-10 guys. This makes sure you have optimum minutes to the best players on the team. That's 48 minutes, fiba games are 40 minutes. This isn't an all star game when your first priority is to keep everyone happy with minutes, this is the Olympics. Only thing with the dream team is they're essentially all superstars but it doesn't mean they be treated the same. With Tatum and Halliburton, there are people in front of them.

This was a short tournament and the competition was intense and close which is why the coach played his best players in their position in those two games. JT is great but the situation didn't necessitate playing him. He played other games, Embiid was benched too, why they not shouting?

I don't think his lack of minutes was disrespectful. He's a very good all around player, but I don't think that's how the roster was constructed and what they were going for. If it's a different coach at the helm I could see him returning.
