Charles Sexton so I think I have basic grading down, now I need to work on how to expose LOG in different situations... indoor under controlled light vs outdoors with huge contrast differences. Next project!

Great video mate. The problem i have with my EOS R using internal 8bit c log recording is that for on the fly recording its hard to nail the exposure settings, which then affects the workflow for colour grading and overall image quality etc. Ive seen some videos recommending to expose between +0.5 to +1 stop EV for perfect exposure on subject with 8bit c log internal, making colour grading afterwards and quality a dream. Thanks! So helpful! I've got a EOS R and a Ninja V and I'm starting to test it out a little. I took some 10-bit C-Log footage just to make sure I could import it into Premiere, and so far so good. And then I was thinking "I better get some LUT's" and I honestly have no idea where to start. I found a Canon C300 LUT in Premiere that MIGHT work okay, but it's hard to tell because I was just recording a 30 second clip inside my dark bedroom, so I've got to go outside and get some better footage to play with. I just want to find a good LUT I can apply to the footage and then be done with it if that's possible. I was googling Canon LUT's and I saw some of your comments in the dpreview forum with a link to this video... and I've been to your channel before regarding the EOS R and the Ninja V so I just wanted to say thanks again.
i have also got the Canon EOS R , and i shot some c-log footage video but i can not be able to color grade well, so kindly can you tell me if you have found the best luts for Canon OES R, if you know something about luts then kindly tell me where and how can i get them, i have no idea about any luts

@@LivingSpiritism yes it is really hard for me to manually color grade the footage of c-log, i am failed in it, so trying to find out the luts if it helps me \, if you find any good luts and any solution, please kindly let me know please , thanking you
@@bhaistyle3299 are you shooting in 8-bit in camera, or 10-bit on a Ninja? If you're shooting in 8 bit, Carlos Quinterro has a lut pack for sale for $1 made specifically for EOS R. I purchased them but I haven't really tested them yet, and I'm not sure if there's going to be a big difference since I'll be using them on 10 bit footage instead of 8 bit, but that's where I'm planning to start.
@@LivingSpiritism i just bought it 1 dollor lut from Carlos Quinterro , really they are also not magically nice, same issue that we will have to work extra work on it and need to learn how to color correct and color grade, not really impressive luts from Carlos Quinterro or may be i do not know how to use them , ummmm
Do you know why 10 bit 4:22 stops recording at the 30 min mark in the Ninja V from the EOS R?
Los Lakers en Español - NBA en Español Ninja V shouldn’t be stopping at 30 minutes when shooting 10bit 422. In my experience, it will only stop at 30 min if you are dual recording to SD card and Ninja at the same time. Since you cannot record 10bit 422 to the SD card, you shouldn’t have the 30 min shutoff!

By the way carlos quintero has good eos R presets - a set of neutral c-log grades with variance in contrast and some creative ones, really awesome ones, better than i could grade them myself
Atis Tiltiņš I bought those a while back! Haven’t really used them much yet. I think I need to do a basic grade first then apply them. Is that what you do?
@@rightshotphotography2576 they are meant for a ungraded clip, i would apply them an only then look at what needs to be added
