How you doing?, Likee it- so beautiful -👋
Let's go!!! New video
How long this battery drain to 0% with r5/r6 and ninja v/portkeys LH7p for example? I mean... I have to purchase two of these battery for shoot whole day or just only one.
I feel dizzy 🥴, you are not moving, you’re just spinning 😵💫 omg
Hello, we’d like to collaborate with you on UA-cam. What do you think?
on the edge, risky, put it on the center of the desk.
Thank you for this Video😊do i Need adaptor for thisone?
Coming pretty late to the party (video is 3 years old now), but it still answered all my question. Thanks, I enjoyed this no-frills, grounded and not-ego-driven video.
Thank you!!! Does the camera overheat over time? I’m planning on using my camera for MedSchool interviews just need something solid and stable for a very long time.
Won’t overheat at 1080p. I’ve also never had either of these overheat in 4k.
This is perfect for me, I just got the zoom f3 as my first audio recorder, needed it for a job to record a discussion panel and the client wanted sound directly from the venue's sound mixer. So I was able to just plug the f3 into the sound mixer to get their audio and it worked great. And now I want more usage out of the f3 so been looking at the dji mic to do easy recordings through the f3 and not worry about clipping. And from Angus's question it sounds like the f3 as a recorder helps prevent that issue. Questions: Have you ever used the dji mic behind a suit jacket/collar/clipped with magnet under the shirt so its not visible? Wondering how the sound quality for that. And do you have the f3 plugged into the camera, does that sync the audio with the footage?
Hi David, thanks for watching! I haven't yet worn the DJI Mic under a shirt / jacket... but always on the outside. The only time it seems to be an issue is if I look (and speak) down... where the sound gets louder. Otherwise, I get pretty consistent audio. I don't use the F3 plugged into the camera. Instead, I record scratch (lower quality) audio in camera just using the internal mic or an external mic on camera. Then, in Final Cut (which I use to edit), I just have the software synchronize all the clips to my good F3 audio. Really simple. Whether you use Final Cut or Premier, or some other editing software, they probably have a synchronization tool built in... a UA-cam search will result in videos showing how to do the sync. Thanks again!!
Great video, Jerry! Question: do you get 32 bit float audio when connected the DJI receiver to the Zoom F3? Cleaner Audio perhaps? Is there actually an advantage to connecting the DJI Mic to the Zoom F3 as opposed to just recording on its own?
Hi Furious! So, on a different occasion, I plugged the DJI Mic directly into the camera mic input. All of the levels LOOKED OK on the camera monitor, but the audio was awful! Now I might have had the settings messed up on the transmitter and/or receiver but I certainly couldn't use what was recorded in camera - peaking with the in-camera recording is pretty much a lost cause. Now this was probably due to MY MISTAKE. However, you're not going to blow out the F3 no matter how hot you're recording. I suppose you could blow out the transmitter / receiver themselves, but short of that, the F3 will have recoverable audio.
I had the same question. What adapter did you use to connect the DJI receiver to the f4?
Great video Jerry!!
Hi Trent! Thanks for your support!
You listed the Peak Design plate, but I’m having trouble finding the exact small rig clamp you’re using.
2143B is the Smallrig part. Search B&H photo for this part number and you should find it! Thanks for watching!
@@rightshotphotography2576 Thank you.
Thanks for sharing. I just bought this exact same setup and have been trying to figure out how to set it up
I buy it for Canon r 2 Days ago and the Cage damage the top Middle front of my câmera 😩. That thing is to protect, not to damage. Cage fix to right and force against the câmera body
Can you use the flipscreen with that Cage?
Thank you for this video and for covering most of the points I was wondering about. Waiting for your long term video with mac studio.
Hi, how was the weather in Oct?
Ya never know in October… could have awesome weather like we did, but you could also get an early snow. Spring and fall are great times to visit… but I’d probably stick to early October at the latest in the fall. Of course, Yosemite is beautiful in the winter too! Just depends on your expectations. Any time you go, Yosemite is larger than life!
Really enjoyed your breakdown and use of your camera equipment…I appreciate both of your efforts at Yosemite…many thanks! - twin dragon 🤓🏞🏓🎶🚴🏼♂️📚🐉👍
Can u share the link for Amazon pls?
Does the 1080 recording works in 10 bit too?
1080p on the EOS R is only 8-bit both internal and external. External is better and will give you 4:2:2 color and better bitrates.
Hi and thanks for the review. Have you tried this lens on the R5 or R6? Can you tell me how good the animal eye detection is with this lens? Would it be faster than the autofocus on the 85mm 1.2? I LOVED the old lens but it wasn’t fast enough for my needs. Also, any thoughts on the AF speed on the new RF lens? Would this lens be faster AF than the new RF 85mm 1.2? Thanks
Hi Gary, I’ve never used the RF 85 1.2, but I would imagine it is better in almost every way. That said, the EF 85 1.4 IS is a very good lens at a much lower cost. Yes, I have used the EF 85 1.4 on the R5 / R6. At a recent wedding, I shot about 930 images with the R6 + EF 85 1.4 IS. Focus is fast and sure (thanks in large part to the R6). Not sure I’ve used it on my R5 yet, but I fully expect it to work great… all my other EF lenses work perfect on my R5 & R6.
@@rightshotphotography2576 thank you! I believe you made this an easy decision for me. I occasionally shoot indoor action dog sports and I loved the look of the dogs with the 85mm 1.2 II lens, though the keeper rate with my 1DX was very poor. Maybe 1 out of 20 moving dog shots hit focus. And mostly only possible if I prefocus a jump. I want the blurred background look but with better AF. I was tempted to buy the older 85mm 1.2 again to see how it works with animal eye detection on my R6, but I’m probably better off with the speed of the 85 1.4 and R6 combo. Even with animal eye detection, I bet the old 85 1.2 would still struggle for sports, correct? Thanks for all your help!
Yeah, I had the EF 85 1.2 II for a while and it was super slow (but great images when you could get one in focus)! The EF 85 1.4 is certainly faster focus. I am having a few second thoughts on the R6… you are a bit limited on cropping! With the R5, I still get fast operation but I have a bit more flexibility in post. Especially for shooting action, I see where the R5 might have a bit of an edge. The R6 is still an awesome camera, but I find the R5 a bit more forgiving. I have probably used my R6 the MOST with my old EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS II… now that is an awesome combination!
@@rightshotphotography2576 thanks. I ended going with the samyang RF 85mm 1.4. As much as I’m usually the last person to go with a third party lens, with the lens dock and the update, for the R6, the sharpness and autofocus speed is very good according to trusted reviews. I think the AF may be better than even the canon 1.2 new version for my needs. I’ll let you know how it works. Hopefully it works for my needs at a fraction of the cost.
can this set film 1080p?
Awesome. I've had the EOS R for about a year and haven't done much filming with it. Glad to know that it films pretty good without having IBIS.
Very helpful aesthetically pleasing video thank you.
How did you connect the roadcaster to the atem? Running a similar setup and trying to figure out the best way to do this, great vid!
Been trying to figure this out forever!
That's a lot if equipment. The more important question is if you had to carry one camera and lens what would it be. For me it would be my 5D, 24-70mm f/2.8 IS L and a polarizing filter and my carbon fiber tripod.
Exciting moment!
Great video!
Thanks Trent! I haven’t published anything in a while, but looking forward to doing more!

i have a question if u r free plz guide me.can u tell which one buy. i m wedding shooter. canon rf 85 f2 macro or canon 85 1.4 L is plz tell me as soon as possible.i have canon eos r. now plz guide me which one better for professionally weddings Photography???
85 f1.4
Nice dog foley.
Nice video. Can I use this lens with EOS-RP+ EF to RF ADAPTOR. Can I shoot video in FHD or not?
does the lens vignette at all? trying to get a true 10mm Full frame no crop
Never really used for photo. With video, I think the in-camera corrections remove most, if not all vignette. Since it is not a fast lens, probably not too much vignette to begin with. It is, however, an EF-S lens and so the camera should recognize and crop from full frame automatically in photo and/or video.
can you put links for everyting in that video?
exellent video! wanted to see how this lens would work on the eos R mainly to have a wider lens for shooting 4k video. Seems perfect once stabilized
good content, thanks for doing this.
I want RP... .bt now I'm confused with EFS lenses.. I'm mostly looking for 10-18mm and 55-2500mm lens, these are cheaper lense, which i can afford. & I want to shoot mostly Landscapes & Portraits still photographes, Please tell can i use efs lenses without any such serious problem hsing mount adopter..? Thanks a lot
I don’t know if you’ve already actioned this, but I’d seriously hope you don’t! Do you have the EFS lenses already? Or you’re looking to buy? For photo or video?
Hey had a question, how does one record the EVF and shoot at the same time with this setup?
I use my canon EOS R via USB in Ecamm Live and it looks great.
This lenses works to photo too or shot in 1080 p?
shoulder mount? other types of rigs? super cool...
I think we would be friends...ok bro...your inspiring me...imma do the exact same thing fellow Eos r dude!
I am considering buying this lens for my R5, but how sharp is it wide open? that's my concern
Nice video! Having quality equipment makes such a difference! I've been running a mix of Ecamm Live and Switcher Studio for my church (@cbctrenton) since April or so. I use a mix of Rode Wireless Go pairs and a few other mics with audio interfaces. The main reason I used Switcher was the ease of use with iPhones as cameras. However, I just picked up a Canon EOS R today. It's amazing! I have much to learn ignorer to get the most out of it but pretty amazing right out of the box. Thanks for the tour and recommendations!
Congratulations on your new R! I’m not familiar with Swicher... I’ll check it out!
Another video on youtube say that you can't record at 1080 with EF-S LENS... that's is correct??
Hi Does it affect the autofocus accuracy and autofocus speed if use canon lens mount adapter and canon ef lens on canon full frame mirrorless camera
I enjoyed your guys video of the father and son time spent at Yosemite park more than the video that I was looking for with the EOS R and Atomos Ninja. I also agree that the video sample of the bridge looked like an image and not video until the fire flies started flying in front of the camera. Good job guys!
