Damn, I’m gonna miss this game knowing this content is seemingly the last piece of story content we'll get. I had a fun time with both DLC though.
hopefully its not the last we will see of these characters. Maybe cameos or easter eggs in future titles.
A lot of people want a game focused on Cid before the events of the game and I'd have to agree, I wanna know more about Cid.

I hope XVI actually does continue in a way that Magic can exist without destroying the whole world. I really liked how the characters react to this world and come to the opposite conclusion that past game protagonists do in trying to destroy the crystals and rid the world of magic rather than protect them and/or return them to light. I think it may be that this game takes place in an interesting world where those concepts are not inhere evil but these characters just wish to be free of them and live on their own terms.
Note: To unlock Ultima's powers, you must have the star on your save.

man, I am pleasantly surprised with all the features they added. Between the some of the QoL, the 2 sets of abilities, AND the bloody palace was the cherry on top. What a send off for the game. Thanks for the review DNC and all of the content for 16 as a whole.
Not gonna lie, the onlyyyy drawback I have is that the Kairos gate isint either A-longer or B- randomized. Other than that this really does make FF16 one of the more complete FF games we’ve gotten in terms of overall story, quality, and quantity.
very liked bosses in dlc and dlc on general. i didnt have problem with dps check, but got stuck on the next phase where u need to dodge huge aoe circle and tornado

This was my first ever Final Fantasy game and I’m actually glad that it was able to end on its own merit and without the constant need to live up to certain things it was its own game. It was its own story and I truly am glad about it. It’s sad that the game ends. Glad that I was able to play this game and allow it to be my first final fantasy game. So thank you Final Fantasy for being my Final Fantasy.
I love that game so much I’ve probably played it in ff mode 6 times start to finish and find myself craving it any time I finish a new game
imo, barnabas should have been the main villain of the game.

@@igg7865Killing Benedikta so early on in the story was a big mistake. When she was killed the plot became less interesting.
I would have liked the game to have remain grounded with Barnabas as the main villain. I'm still very disappointed we didn't get an eikon fight with Odin. My thoughts are that it could have started as an Eikon fight and devolved into the 1v1 sword fight to have the best of both worlds.
It was pretty good, another whole set of abilities was a pleasant surprise
I had more trouble with the Water Spout after Tidal Wave killing me. I died 5 times
Didnt try hairos gate. Anyway good/fun DLC overall, my only problem is that i feel the price is questionably too high for the ammount of content you get.
Not even half way through my rise of ronin play through to get back into ff16. Finished ff16, started a second save in ff mode, but finished the first dlc on my original save (ff mode was a bit much lol). Already dled the new dlc. I’m gonna have to relearn the game mechanics. Is the max character level higher with the new dlc? Or still capped?

I enjoyed the DLC, except the Leviathan DPS race, it took me 3 attempts and a lot of swearing
took me like 10 on hard. was totally obscene and ruined it for me

What would be a next dlc for this game giving we have all the eikons including Ultima like a really good dlc we fought omega and like alot of people are mentioned change the story like they did with ff15 so what would be a actually good next dlc if there could be one
Lifelong FF fan here. This was my first character action game and I loved it. How does it rank for you CA genre vets now that it's all said and done? Among the best? Solid? On the lower end? Curious to hear your guys' thoughts. Cheers.

Glad its not only me that found Kairos Gate challenging on FF mode. Its an enjoyable challenge nonetheless

Godlike DLC to a godlike video game. I feel sorry for people who didn't even try FFXVI because of misguided notions about the combat.

Go on check for update it should then reupdate it if that doesn’t work just reinstall the whole game
To start The Rising Tide DLC in FF16, you’ll need to first unlock Origin as a destination on the world map and complete the “Priceless” side quest
So do both DLC take place before the end of the main game ?
Yes
Yeah once you get to as far as I'm aware the final area they unlock so you can do them before the end of the game

I didnt like the actual leviathan eikon thing but the abilities themselves were pretty cool
I have not done any side quest except for where there's will jill note priceless don't show up do you know every mission i have to do to unlock all i need for rising tide

Plot hole: Seeing as Leviathan was absorbed by Clive, shouldn't that have meant that the vessel i.e. Mythos was complete, thus meaning that Clive survived the final battle with Ultima?
Wish kairos gate had more floors :(

I like most of the new powers - but the DPS check in the middle of the Leviathan fight on hard mode at max level took me like 10+ attempts. Poorly designed fight in terms of the tsunami part - you have maybe 10 seconds of clearance in the phase where you have to break his shell so he doesn't tsunami. If you get hit once or dont make back to him when he pushes you back fast enough - your attempt is lost.
There is nothign wrong with difficult content but sudden verticle difficulty spikes like that only pissed me off. - points ofr that. 7/10. It didnt do much for me

This dlc was amazing in my opinion. Ff 16 is my favourite game ever and I’m glad they made more content
The devs should adjust the difficulty of the previous bosses. I want a difficult game.
Go play a souls game then, I’m tired of spending hours on a single boss.
it's a shame that the DLC wasn't in the base game, especially seeing how much content Rebirth got and that this DLC was ready just a few months after XVI's release. I hate it when they intentionally leave out stuff to sell it to us as DLC. I'm not gonna support this tactic, just like I didn't support the DLC for XV, KH3, nor Remake.
it’s more like they weren’t gonna make dlc but the fans really wanted them too so they put these out
Leviathan missing from the main game wasn’t intentional. in recent interviews, It was revealed that Leviathan was not added to the game due to the budget and time since most of the budget went to the Bahamut fight and the time it took to develop the game was also affected due to Covid.

Yeah I never would’ve bought this game on release if I knew DLC was on its way. Especially after they said there wouldn’t be any additional content.

6-10 hours to finish everything new? I did it on 3 hours...
So you did the full main Leviathan story, all the side quests, the chronolith (tbf, that takes like 5-6min) and beat all 20 levels of Kairos gate in 3hrs? Seems... unlikely.

You finished it in 3 hours yet admitted you basically put the things on that make the game a fucking joke? Maybe if you played the game like normal people do you might have gotten more time with it
@@HellzAssassn Yes I did, although I got to admit that a skip all the cheap cutscenes from the side quests and that I'm definitely not an "average player" by any means
Performance is still horrible 😔
I think the only fix for this is going to be the PC version sadly

@@danutghidia5820 the Royal edition of ff15 on pc still has a terminal ram leak in it that eventually crashes the game - or at least my game and a lot of other peoples after a while. it sucks.
The performance is not horrible idk why some ppl say that. Is it great no, keeps a consistent 60fps not always but still far from horrible imo.
@@OvOSB_24 You are probably unable to feel when a game is poorly optimized then. It drops/stutters in the open world and resolution is changing to 720p in combat to maintain 60 fps. Thats not good if you compare to other AAA PS5 exklusives (Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök for example)
I get no one plays this game so it’s financially terrible for square… but I’d be happy if they continued this story with a book or maybe a board game 🤮
