Thanks Andrea, great video. Totally agree cups and saucers are now extrememly slow which is a shame. Maybe do a mugs video.... always interesting to see what others like.
Lovin the new set up!! Love MCM pottery…any time I’ve sold midwinter in the past I’ve split it, I do the same with others like Denby etc. I’d be very tempted to keep the Michaelmas too as I love that pattern. These kind of videos are really interesting, could also do one on German pottery, wooden items, candlesticks, glass, Rattan/bamboo etc the possibilities are endless! Keep them coming!! ❤Tx
Hi Andrea, the pink magnolia pattern on the preserve pot is called Kashmir. I hope that helps.
Love the michaelmas and I've not seen that one before. Good find. I am always getting cups with no saucers 😭
Would love to see a video about Hornsea .. particularly the blue Hornsea please
I like your new filming set up!
The preserve pot is called Kashmir designed by John Russell
Fabulous! Thank you 😃
Would love to see more videos like this one Andrea x
would love a video like this on Hornsea
The pattern name on the small preserve pot is called Kashmir
Ah brilliant, thank you 😊
@@andreahills74 You're Welcome. I can recommend a very good book on Midwinter Pottery by Steven Jenkins, Midwinter Pottery a revolution in British tableware fondly known as the Midwinter Bible by collectors 😉. It's probably out of print now but you may come across a copy on your travels, it has saved us hours of searching the Internet for particular pattern names
It's all gorgeous. Thanks Andrea - I like this style of video.
Thanks Jo 🙂
A very enjoyable video Andrea. I have been a Midwinter fan for many years so I was delighted to see a special focus video like this. I think the small lidded pot might be Magnolia pattern. More of these kind of videos would be great. I also love Kathy Winkle designs as I know you do too so maybe a focus on specific designers might also be interesting. Thank you for a fabulous channel.
Ooh yes, Kathie Winkle would be a good one to do 😊
I didn’t realise I liked Mid winter until I watched your video . The Michaelmas is beautiful, I always drink from a breakfast cup I hate mugs . I’d love to see more of this kind of video .
Thanks Jackie
You should do one on Hornsea, I live about 8 miles from where Hornsea Pottery was based, a small seaside town on the East Yorkshire coast and used to visit regularly in the 80's and 90's to buy pieces from their seconds shop. I think it was started by two brothers and then expanded, it was very popular in this area. You could watch them in the factory making the pottery. They also had a miniature village there for visitors and a playground for children, which made it a good day out. The site is still there and is now a retail park called Hornsea Freeport. Thought you would might be interested in it's history.
Thank you for that. What a shame it’s not still there 😟
Interesting to see the shop items in the background.
Loved this and would love to see more videos like this 🥰 x
👍🏻
Fantastic informative video Andrea. Thanks for sharing. Love this style of video and would love more on Poole pottery. My daughter has my late mothers dinner set and loves it so always on the lookout for more. Sweltering in oz xxz cheri😊
Thanks Cheri… freezing here in Norfolk 😆
I usually offer ceramics separately, people may only need to replace single items that are missing or broken. Worth mentioning in listing that they are more available.
Thanks Caroline. I’m leaning that way with this too. I’ve done that in the past and it’s worked well.
Man, we had some of that midwinter in the kitchen growing up. All of our crockery was second hand so I remember some of that, some willow pattern and an array of other bits! Cheers for the vid!
Which pattern did you have? We didn’t have any Midwinter but I always feel nostalgic when I find crockery and patterns I grew up with ☺️
@@andreahills74 Riverside, I never liked it 😆
@@shellsterooney Yeah, it's not very cheerful 😆
Firstly… absolutely love Midwinter ❤️…. Think you may be charging too little….if people can’t afford the more ‘desirable patterns, they could be interested in your selection ???…ie the yellow cup set in particular?….even if just to display on kitchen shelves or mid century teak cabinets etc ( just a thought)…. Younger generations are becoming very keen on anything MCM !!… And would really appreciate more videos on Hornsea , Poole etc( I see you have Cornrose, which I like. and have some of it 👌…So please do some similar themed ones. All Midwinter is so well designed and streamlined…and so much better than mugs… although we do use mugs… it could be a a fun occasion to to use these wares…??!👍….Thank you for sharing this maker … they are great…. Sue.. MCM mad person 😃
Coffee pot on its own.
Great video. New subscriber. I love the midwinter range - particularly the black-and-white, so if you get any of that, I'd be interested. More videos like this would be really good. Don't worry about the lighting, it's OK.
Thanks Judith. I’d love to find the black and white 🙂
Coffee pot as a single item would be my approach
If it helps I sold on Etsy a midwinter Stonehenge green leaves set, sold individually and all cups and saucers , cream and sugar went quickly, only coffee pot left , I guess folks don’t use them any more?
Coffee pot on its own Andrea, nic is good at packing ☺️🤣👍♥️
😄
Put bundles up say £22 but with offers, probably find someone will say £20.
Enjoyed your video. How much do you allow for p&p?
It depends on the weight of the parcel. I charge £3.99 2kg and under and £6.99 up to 5kg.
Decision’s decisions. Just sell the most valuable pieces. Don’t bother with the rest. Not worth the time & effort. And the thought that goes with it. You’ll get your money back at a car boot. Just my opinion.
