HAITIAN PIKLIZ|| HOW TO MAKE PIKLIZ

  • 1 grinder
    1/2 Of bell peppers each color ( Red, yellow, green and orange)
    1 whole medium-size white onion
    1/2 of a medium size cabbage
    3 whole carrots
    2 Maggie Cubes ( make sure the box is light blue and say hard and crumbly)
    1 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar
    1 cup of water
    1 whole lime juice( squeeze juice only)
    1 tablespoon of seasoning salt
    4 Hot peppers (Depending on how spicy your peppers are and how spicy you want it to be)

    I make this pikliz on the regular. I even got my neighbor hooked on it 😂. Please can you make a haitian meatball recipe. My meatballs always come out dry 😭 show me the right way the haitian way 🇭🇹 lol

    Thank you dear, I have not been living like a Haitian until this PIKLIZ tutorial came along. Now I will be making this one every six months. FYI...the pikliz taste way better using organic cabbage instead of the already shredded one from the bag from experience.

    New subber 07/23/24✊🏾🤎. Had this about 15 years ago from the Haitian brother and sisters that rented one side of our church ( for their service) and they had a celebration.
    I’ve NEVER forgotten about how it burned my mouth so GOOD!!! So GLAD I found you so I can FINALLY make this!!!

    In Jamaica we use to warm the vinegar but with adding the Maggie seasoning great job and I won’t warm the vinegar thanks again

    Your children might be running around all crazywayz in the background but that makes the video more authentic-just like being in somebody's kitchen watching them cooking.     Moved to Texas and there is no decent haitian food here. Just Moun Blan version. Thank you Freddy, you are the absolute best. Also coleslaw is nasty. Just had it for the first time, thrash.

    Great recipe! If you are going to use lime juice why not zest the lime first to add another pop of flavour to your pikliz? I will make your pikliz this weekend for sure!

    In your video you said 1 cup but the recipe written says 1 1/2 cup of vinegar. Which is correct? I’m asking because I tried someone else’s recipe and it tasted like pure vinegar so I don’t want to put too much. Thank you in advance for your response

    Coleslaw is not nasty, it is to you because you do not like it but there are people how loves it. Believe it or not it may have people who don't like piklis as well
