I first heard his interpretation of this piece when I was around 5? 6? years old on a CD that my parents owned... I'm 23 now and this is still my favourite one.
Awesome!!!!!! I Love this. It's my best Theme in my life. Bunin's Chopin Etude Op. 10-12 is especially for me. This music comfort & up rising to struggle to me, so many times. Thank you, God, Chopin & Mr. Bunin.
Tu hijito.
One of the greatest masters of the keyboard I have ever seen! Master of the grand gesture, this mega-exciting virtuoso should have risen to the top of his profession. How sad for him and an adoring public that as of age 52, (2018), this has not happened. But there is still hope!
I’ve watched a couple of Kissin performances of this and am trying to resist saying any one performance is better. Kissin’s sound a bit more controlled and interpretative but if you like speed and excitement, it’s hard to beat this one. Plus it looks like he went straight on to another piece!
I should perhaps add that I LOVE the Bunin performance above but don’t want to undervalue other performances. I first heard this Etude in the 1980s accompanying a pairs skating performance at the Winter Olympics
Here’s an excerpt from the skating. A different musical experience, but the endeavour and excellence of the skaters is evident ua-cam.com/video/fFNHzRc_P4c/v-deo.html
Lovely, but I wish he attacked some sections a little harder...at times it started to blend together, and I didn't hear each note breath. It could be quality of the recording as well. Still, what was he 20? Amazing dedication and skill.
'To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is unpardonable!'
@sesquipedalian I never said its bad, I love this performance, but I can't stand the people who are like "well let's see you play it then". People can say what they want to say.

Piękno muzyki Fryderyka Chopina to fenomen graniczący z cudem.
Chopin would have been so proud
Silence of audience is due to impact of it. Breathtaking performance !
nope
True bet they should be silent 😂
Not true. It was a competition where he was playing pieces one after another. It would be rude of the audience to clap
To me it's the best interpretation and performance of all.
Genial Bunin !!!!!
Awesome!!!!!! I Love this. It's my best Theme in my life.
Bunin's Chopin Etude Op. 10-12 is especially for me.
This music comfort & up rising to struggle to me, so many times. Thank you, God, Chopin & Mr. Bunin.
And the men God gifted with the knowledge and inspiration to create and perfect the piano forte!
I believe Chopin wrote this when Poland was being invaded by Germany. So yes, uprise and struggle
😃
Amazing and outstanding!!
the best interpretation ever!!
So awkward not to hear raging applause after such a performance.
He once fell ill. GLAD he's BACK and well again! ox BRAVO!
Bravo!
best of chopin etude 10-12

Excellent!
Fantastico!
Yes, he has his moments
I had to clap only in my room. Best version ever man. My unbiased opinion
He play it like goa trance in early phaze with his left pinky 00:16 ~. 1995~98 Goa with Roland tb 303 bass line.
OMG
Full of passion and fire

What has happened to him?...

@TspesVladD In Poland at International Chopin Piano Competition
His etude is the template for my etude
超技
De arrepiar
天才
Better than I could do.
Seldom to hear his whereabouts..
my god!!!!!
@skiboy90 The only one thing that matter is the musicailty, no the notes, he can play with all the notes and without musicality.
wow
This performance would not be perfect without those perfect mistakes, each of them in the perfect moment...
what a bad mistake to make with the opus number being wrong in the subtitle at the beginning. 0:10
Lmao Haha they did get it wrong
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
nice tempo
0:17 Wrong note
Love this can't decide if like it as much as kissin
I prefer bunin
Not perfectly in techniqe but this fire covered every mistake. Bloody !!! What a show !!!
Where was this performed?
John Porter International Chopin Piano Competition 1985 in Warsaw, he won first prize and the gold medal in this competition.
Geniusz😃😍🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩😛🤩🤩🤩
Bakemono
There is a mistake at 1:48 and 1:49!
But however this is a great performance! Perfect tempo!

Lol. So easy to point all the mistakes and so hard to recognize his talent.

@Elijah Kim 김기성 you don't have to be a chef to know if food tastes good or not.

@sesquipedalian well, the way he worded it sounded like he wanted the original commenter to post a better performance of this etude.
0:13 wrong note
where tha fuck are those applauses... why then people where there for first place.. GRGRGRGR
nmlsaiya Probably part of a recital set in which he was playing other things. Much like how you don't clap between movements of a symphony.
Why did YOU have to use an obscene, vulgar, low-life word,
you infernal jackass!
