The Dolls House arc concludes! Couldn't be happier with the adaptation, it was glorious. But the big question. What was your favourite moment and episode from Season 1 of The Sandman?
Fantastic episode and fantastic reaction. There was something that piqued my interest though: the opposing reactions between Trent and Julia during horrific or violent scenes. It's apparent that the fellow is more familiar and comfortable with the genre and reacts to such entertainment with the customary glee. But it puzzled me for a bit: Why do some people laugh during horror films? Obviously a lot of horror films are quite campy and people are laughing absurdity and spectacle of such situations. But per a quick internet search, some people laugh when they're afraid. Kind of a quick release valve for building tension and to instinctively reassure oneself that they're safe. All of that said, in an earlier review they mentioned appreciation towards how tastefully this series handles some of the more gruesome comic book elements. And I agree. I personally don't enjoy wading through sin and as such, graphic depictions of rape and torture generally sour my opinion for any given property. Just my personal taste. I'm aware we all set the bar at different heights. But I really appreciated how masterfully this series navigated those dark waters.

Mason Alexander only had such a small role in this series but oh my did they leave an impression! In my opinion Desire is THE breakout character of this series, thanks to Mason!!!
Mason Alexander Park reached out to Gaimon when they heard abut the adaptation. they already knew they were perfect for the role, and they made it happen.
Dream, Desire, and Death are my faves, I absolutely adore them and could watch them forever! Loved the whole season, but the bonus episode is my fave! Can’t wait for your reaction!!
Dream sounds like a genuinely disappointed parent. He takes responsibility for Corinthian doing this because he knows Corinthian is his fault. And once he unmakes Corinthian, he pours all of his disappointment and disgust and rage into the heads of the "collectors." He punishes then with such emotion, and he doesn't give them a relief at death. Until the end of time has such a weight that is indescribable. I also just noticed that the vortex heart looks suspiciously like Desire's sigil.
@@zitronentee Definitely not a surprise. More like a very pleasant nod for repeated viewings. I had a strong feeling as soon as I saw it that it didn't feel like it belonged in the Dreaming. In retrospect, what I was feeling and seeing was almost like a more volatile form of Desire's cameo at the end of episode 5.
Desire is everything Mason did a great job and looked fabulous 👌🏾 Dream was the epitome of the Growth meme. Death 💋 The whole show was beautiful a d well done. So sad Neil picked Netflix cheap asses to make this show. We may not get another season.
I like that they are setting up Lyta's comic arc here with how she was willing to damn the world just so she would have Hector back. And given what does happen, if they are able to adapt the whole series, it's not gonna end well.
@ShadowyFox_86 I definitely liked her portrayal of Death, and for this show I think it’s a perfect fit. Having said that, though, I must say that when I think of the best portrayal of Death, Julian Richings’s Death from Supernatural is my pick.

Desire's scene at the end... A masterpiece!
Definitely the Hob Gadling story.
My favorite was ep 6, the decision to combine The Sound of Her Wings with Men Of Good Fortune was excellent.
Desire’s appearance was so seductive and uncomfortable yet very beautiful in a way that you can’t help be charmed by them, the actor was amazing
The one issue can have is that Lucifer and Desire are supposed to be identical in looks.

Casting for this has been brilliant. Desire was one of the cast that I was "HOW?" Now we know, and wow.

The Season of Mists set up was *fantastic* . My jaw dropped when Azazel came up, he looks exactly like how he did in the comics. We need a Season 2.
