@@_Gingium_ the G25 is slightly bigger but by a small amount. The 0.49 turbine housing would be ideal. I think the G25 would be as responsive as the gtx2860 especially with your high compression you're running
Hey Caleb, Kaleb here. You mentioned that running flex and launch together doesn’t work however I literally just figured out how to do it like last week. If you’re not using A/C there’s some steps you can follow to put launch control on the tableswitch pin on the options port
Gingium is out there building crazy cars rebuilding engines etc, menhwile I'm here proud that I managed to swap a rear view mirror mount in my car so i can get an auto dimming one from another model.
Okay so this is coming from someone who works in IT mainly, the interface it uses is a 9 pin serial connector, do yourself a favor and get yourself a little Serial to USB converter, I recommend an one with an FTDI chipset on it, and just keep it on the end of your serial cable. I have to do that for one of my console cables, just keep the adapter on the end of it. It's plug and play with Windows 10 as well which is nice.
Individual exhaust gas temperature probes are better than an aftermarket knock sensor. If a cylinder goes above desired temperature pull timing or add fuel. That is the ideal system for you.
@@trashymontyy2385 Oh yeah, Built vs Bought was lit, but we all change as we age and now we got Fabium, and he's still as super awesome as we all remember.
Beautiful job, nice to see someone pay attention to cleaning things up. Hope you are drawing up a new wiring diagram with color reference codes so you can troubleshoot it in the future.
I think one of the main reasons I watch this channel is the lo-fi songs you put on the montage, I love them ahaha. Uh and I also love Molly of course otherwise I'd rather only listen to lofi
I haven't seen you in a while because of UA-cam recommendations, but it's great to see everything coming along! Your car is literally exactly what I want to do with my Mariner Blue 1990, so it's nice to see you following your dreams. :)
i love the how the harness looks behind thet rail ,but im nervous about it at the same time.if you are ever in an accident and the fender was pushed in the rail could potentially cut into the wires and maybe start a fire. maybe im just over thinking it 🤷♂️.
Hey buddy, if you ever have issue with that knock sensor location, FM sells a little kit with a stud that replaces a motor mount bolt. Not the most ideal location but as long as your ECU does frequency filtering, it will work just fine!
12:49 - That's a serial port, spacebar would've worked. They make USB to Serial adapters, buy a really good one; could cause more trouble than not. You can still get modern laptops like ThinkPads with Serial ports, lots of old office computer crap still needs it.
I love your builds Caleb, but I feel the knock sensor may have been a waste, sure on pump gas the motor will be knock limited but on e85 it won't be and therefore will never see any knock, you'll be able to push it way past MBT on E thus making the sensor useless imo, would have done a 3 port mac valve for boost instead or oil pressure/temp or anything else really. All the best for the build can't wait to see the finished product
You're right, the knock sensor is probably pointless but it's a cheap sensor and it certainly doesnt hurt! In the off chance it does knock it'll be nice to have that extra layer of protection!
@@_Gingium_ Its definitely nice to have extra sensors and it will help if you are going to be swapping back and forth from 93-E85 during that E20-E60 area where it may not get tunned fully, depends on tuner etc not sure who will be tunning this so I can't say for sure, just wanted to put my opinion out there :)
Gingium, you think gaining 20 lbs is bad, try 80 lbs. Yeah being in a relationship did that to me. And having a car instead of a bike haha. That said tho I need to get to working on my car and exercising more so I don't get too fat to fit in my Mazda. Love you, man. Much good vibes and may your next weld be perfect. ♥
1:34 this joker just did the exact same thing I did. Installed clutch and flywheel but forgot that plate that goes on first. At least he didn’t have the gearbox back in place underneath the car when the problem was discovered. I had to remove and reinstall my gearbox, clutch and flywheel twice which sucked, added a couple hours to the process for me.
Im not an expert ging but you should be selling merch thru YOUR website man. And you should put some ads to earn some more money and build bigger and better. Love from Mozambique
Pasha, please keep all of the voice audio at the same level please. The end where he puts the cover over the fuel lines under the car was loud with the camera mic, then quiet with the wrench mic. Great video though

I'd love to see this engine with a Garrett G25-550
Is that bigger or smaller than the GT2560? Thats whats currently on there. Was planing on upgrading to a GTX2860R in the future!
It is larger but more responsive, capable of upto 550hp under all the boosts!
Probably too big for this engine, though the high compression may aid with spool time.

Finnaly a youtuber who uses flex fuel sensors other than mcm.

Jimmy Oakes?
You can say what you want about the look of a 2jz or a rb26. But a Turbo BP looks soooo sexy
JDM_Dude isn’t a BP though... it’s a 1.6 not a 1.8. So technically it would be either a B6D or B6T
