Hey man I've just recently been binging videos about FPV and I appreciate your channel/option. Could you do a video on your ideal "starter" drone set up with the DJI FPV. And if you would use the stock DJI radio controller or use something better/cheaper.
Thanks Potato! That' a good idea. For now there's the rotor riot bnf, and iflight has some bnfs that seem good. personally I would definitely recommend hobbywing escs - that is what I've been using for many many years. Radio wise you should think about if you want to do whoops- if so get a frsky or opentx compatible radio, it'll be compatible with everything including the dji stuff
Once you test the three against each other and find the best. Pretty pretty please get your RTH working and send that thing out on 700mw as far as it can go. Up and out to really see how far it can go. This is frikin awesome stuff. Thank you so much for this.

You're going to love the cyclops! I've already been out 3.6 miles and could have gone further. Super convenient in the bag. The proximity range is ridiculous. You don't have to point your head in any one direction. I have some videos on my channel with some tests if you are interested.

Nice, I went RHCP lollipops on Kwads and 4 stubby lollis on goggles for most close spots, for scetch, have 2 vas ion stubs for bottom + 2 vas crosshair xtremes for top...all black baby

Have had the cyclops and minion pros for a few days. It doesn't seem better than 4 patches, but like you say, it's much more convenient. The minions could use stiffer leads.

Nice! I would love to see a review of those new blue axii Xylo antennas they are new and only 9.99 at getfpv ect... which is a great price if they work well. It amazes me that dji has this awesome product that could be much better with just a change of antennas.... 😎
I dunno if I can afford more antennas😭 But honestly VAS or TrueRC is the way to go man, can't get any better.
You are right. The Cyclops could use an angle adjuster as it does look like it points down.

Technically the DJI radio gets 1.5ms faster than crossfire (on average). It's worth noting radio link is also variable latency for crossfire and dji so I would say the difference is negligible. With Taranis you will have telemetry and lua scripts. DJI radio you'll be limited to betaflight boards only to get that functionality.

We've got to see a test of the Cyclops vs the X-Air for DJI as single, or dual! Hit up Hugo! This is the test we're all dying to see, especially at max range at 700 mW! Don't just do 25 mW!!!
you are right! seems like the x2 air vs cyclops would be an awesome test, the new TrueRC seems like it's just 2 x airs.

Don't fault DJI. They made it FCC certified. Putting patches on it,....not so much. I'm not saying don't use them. It's just not something to ding DJI for.

@@RyoRex Would be nice if you could compare the reception on a fixed transmitter and in flight. And, if the reception isn't bad enough as you compare to any lesser gain antenna like an omni, then increase the distance or objects in the LOS.But you probably know your thing.

I bet these are nothing but quad dipoles under the plastic and theres plans how to build them on the net. I know, I built one for my 2.4ghz wifi router and still have it. Your lengths for 5ghz will be different but its nothing but a copper or steel plate and bent copper wires at 90 degree angles. If you can bend a paper clip, ruler, and use a hot glue gun you can make these :-/ Ground goes to plate, antenna lead goes up through hole fox x cm, bends at 90, then you make a square out of it parrallel to the plane of the plate. You have to get your wave length multiple numbers roughly close to right for best performance.
