Cool you liked this! Nina is German originally from East Berlin. This was 1978 and it was the first music she performed after moving to the west side. She could finally perform her own music that she wrote, not having the government making her sing music approved by them. Also, this is from before she went solo, it’s called the Nina Hagen Band at this point I recommend anything from this concert if you want to react to live stuff (TV glotzer is one) or for studio versions African Reggae or Schüttel Mich

I bought the LP, with my monthly allowance for clothing and leisure of 60 guilders, and a LP was about 15-20, so it was a big buy! Later she cooperated with Herman Brood. She even has a child with him. I reccommend 'Unbeschreiblich Weiblich' or 'Auf am Friedhoff'. Btw,

Ok I did some searching and found two great Nina Hagen songs / vids ... I searched for the best Audio and quality I could find . ~ AS these both were sourced from vhs tapes As they are both circa 1980 One is on French tv program .. one is in NYC ... BOTH are LIVE vocals ... The French one is amusing by the faces the panal of French men watching her make .. The song ' New York / New York ' was HUGE hit in NYC during that time as it was a sort of tribute to the best underground dance clubs at the time ... Also so you know relating to the logo that flashes at the beginning and end of the video : In the 80's : ' TELEGENICS ' was a company that released vhs music video compilations specifically that bars and nightclubs bought so when or if they didn't have a dj they could play continual music on the t.v.s or video projectors for thier customers .... She has done punk, pop, disco, EDM, Big Band era, Hindu chants (she did a cover of George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord"), a Rammstein cover, and for the last (roughly) 15 years has done Christian-themed music. When the German Chancellor Angela Merkel left office, she requested Nina Hagen to sing at her last event.
do her cover of Seemann with Apocalyptika . its a Rammstein hit song and i like their version even better. because of Nina . shes crazy and crazily talented. u will see check it out..

That child was from the Herman Brood guitarist Ferdinand (Ferry) Karmelk.
She has some bangers in her catalogue new york new york, smack jack and dread love just to name a few
