- Suffolk Ironworks - Making of Wrought Iron Gates
A commissioned set of gates to replace the existing badly worn set. The gates are made to last with solid bars throughout and a zinc spray and powder coated finish.
See how scrolls are made using a forge.

Stunning work, almost looks musical in form. True British craftsmanship.
Wow. This is really interesting to see! I've always wondered how those swirls are done. Amazing how much work goes into just one little swirl :-)
Really nice scroll work! I understand the need for electric welding, to forge weld and traditionally tenon those gate would add dozens of hours and make the project prohibitory expensive! Subbed for more!
Awesome work!🙌
Thank you 👍
Lovely work. Thank you for the video. How do you treat the gates prior to installation? Is it painted? I'd love to see more of the same, especially about the formation of the posts and caps. Thank you.
Awsome work!
Please, is it 1020 carbon steel?
How much for 2 gates like that??
A set of gates this size and design will come to approximately £4500. Feel free to get in touch for a quote enquiries@suffolkironworks.co.uk

What has the seriously goofy "music" got to do with wrought iron? Go away.
What can I say, I'm a goofy guy! Little tip for you..... If your not keen on the music you could always turn the volume down 😉 what did you think of the video?
@Ben Chuft Hi. Thank you for your overly informative comment. I totally understood his point, it was the aim of the comment I'm not too keen on. Did you like the video? I'm presuming you were not keen on the music either?
