Its heated again without proper tempering. Which means it's lost most of its good properties. Like correct hardness, elasticity and plasticity. It's only become more brittle
@@Hellboy-V No, it's not brittle, it's soft. when you heat a steel to forge temperature and then let it cool down you're making it soft a plastic. To make it brittle you have to heat it to non magnetic and then quench it in water or oil then it will be extra hard and a bit elastic. Then you want to heat the steel again to around 400°c for a period of time to scale down the hardness/brittleness and obtain more elasticity /toughness in exchange

I really like the idea of using bearing race, which is one of the finest high carbon steel and make a strip out of it . 👍🏽
I agree I work in a electric motor shop and we replace all kinds of bearings of all sizes and I save several of the old ones for this purpose and later on I'm going to build me a fordge and start making knives
Depends where the bearing is manufactured
Pure craftmanship. My compliments.
ما شاء الله لا قوة الا بالله
أنا أعشق هذه المهنة ،،،،من الاردن
I would purchase one of these in a heartbeat!! Amazing craftsmanship!!
It's not just a knife.... it's a labor of love
Love of labour hota hai chutiya Pakistani
Great Vid. Would love to have one of his knives. Florida. USA. 🐻
Respect and admiration from Saudia Arabia
That is a real blacksmith !!!
İşte ustalık yaratıcılık bu olsa gerek helal olsun
We take so much for granted. Much respect to this craftsman.
Amazing would be making fully functional bearing from the old rusty knife.
Slow it down and rewind it…💥Boom💥…Pure Magic 🤣😳
With recycling these days, this happens.
Lol'ed
With a hammer and charcoal and a square anvil
Well, the clown just manifested itself
It’s hard way but amazing & interesting
Can we all appreciate that this fellow is doing all this work *while crouching down on his knees?*
Уроки труда вспомнились)))
Тоже ножи ковали?
Мужик честным трудом хоть не много из ничего бабки делает !
Prince of JUGADH. Phenominal job. I have knives of Sheffield Steel. After seeing this, though, i am sold on this product. Great steel. The wood he used was hard.
Excellent product.
Superb, thank-you!
Work is effort applied to difficulty.
Craft is art in the service of man's needs.
Again, thank-you!
philosophizing it, i like it
It was a bad blade, waste of a good bearing. He messed up the whole process. No respect to the knife. Not a skilled man. Maybe someday, but not this day.

recycling into a useful tool, even the wooden handle came from a previously used wood, great job
Very efficient.
How amazing & ingenious. That barker has 2 go.

Well done my Brother...People like You have the real Talent, That is why You are the survivors...well done
Props to the man for his skills.
I doubt knifemaking is what he usually does.
He didnt heat treat the blade, burned the tip on the grinder and beat on the steel when it was too cold.
Or perhaps most knives out there as crap .
What a hardworking man
I love the craftsmanship of blacksmith
this ole boy can hammer steel. NICE WORK

@@sandhikodandapani1183 Good bye Great artist of metal iron and others metals
RESPECT THE ARTISAN...Blood, sweat, tears and LOVE....
and no heat treatment... It sucks, because ballbearing steel can actually make a really good knife steel, if you heat treat it. He didn't do any kind of heat treatment
ربي يعطيك العافية والصحة يا رب العالمين
That's very nice. I'd love a couple of those in my kitchen. Honest labour....
Forget the green bin this is what recycling really looks like. So much for power tools! These guys have been doing this for generations.
That man had an incredible gift for imagining what he is making steps before implementing. Some very strong hands too.
