I drive a 2000 suburban that is very similar to this one. All i can say is that Ive grown up in this car and Ive loved every second of it. It was purchased by my parents when i was five years old and i have just recently turned 16 and am now driving this car as my first car. If your thinking of buying a chevy suburban, new or old, I can assure you that you will be buying a quality car that will last you many years.
I love this generation of the Surburban especially the 03-06 with the new features....New 4 spoke steering wheel with the audio control, Power folding sideview mirrors with integrated turn signals.
They are good cars, the LT, like I have, is surprisingly luxurious. Leather seats, autoride suspension, very smooth ride, quite a bit of power (285 hp from a 5.3 liter V8), DVD player, Bose sound system. Unfortunately there was no option for navigation. Mine has all the options I listed plus more. Just make sure the one you get was very well taken care of. These were pretty expensive new (paid $45k for ours new) but pretty cheap now, $13k-$18k loaded.
I haven't had electrical problems except the Push button 4wd aren't making good contact. The fuel consumption is not that much (I don't need to go past 1,500rpm's unless i am getting on the highway or trying to pass someone.) Also The suburban makes an good road trip vehicle and is good at towing 18ft trailers with loads of stuff on it. I need the towing for my motorcycles and to get my Jeep from my grandma's.

My dad use to have a navy blue 1998 Chevrolet s10 crew cab when I was a little baby I was crying a lot in that truck in then when he bought the 2004 Chevy Tahoe base model cloth seats third row in the back everything in then somebody still the third row back seat in the back in then they put the third row seat in there 2003 GMC Yukon SLE xl I was like six years old but my dad doesn’t even care anymore though so that way we can easily put something in the back 👍🏻 that’s was when we live in Aldine the trailers house
I have the same year mine is all black with the chrome package I would love to keep it the only way I think I will keep it if I can get at least 20 in or 21 but they have to be 5 spoke All Chrome with red brake calipers I am trying to keep it all the Chrome off mine I just have the chrome rims five spoke

Man that's weird because Silverados and Suburbans are completely different vehicles. I can see using the same chassis and suspension, engine, body from the driver door forward, dash and even the same trim (if its the LT, but the suburban can be an LT or LS like a silverado) but to use the same ignition chime is just insane.
That's funny too because the front face parts of the Squarebodies, GMT400s, and GMT800s (1999-2002 until 2003 for the facelift for the GMT800 version of the Silverado) versions of the Silverado and Suburbans looked so identical to each other. Like you could be driving down the road and you pass one of those vehicles, but you won't know which one it is until you see the whole body of the vehicle. But I guess GM decided to change things up when the GMT900 platform came out in 2007.
@@TTM719 honestly i think the GMT900 started the downfall of the suburban/tahoe but mainly the crappy rear window radio antenna and not having fold flat second rows
The Tahoe is an all time regular civilian SUV because it's shorter than the Suburban however some people couldn't afford to buy a Suburban so instead they prefer the Tahoe.
I drive my 2006 Tahoe and it has a bigger rims than these and I have 22 inch rims on my 2006 Tahoe and its my first truck and I'm keeping it for my family to ride in it we will share the Tahoe as a family truck and were not getting rid of my Tahoe were keeping it as my family truck so my Tahoe is really old. So when I don't drive my Tahoe anymore and it becomes 14 years old, then I'll keep it for me and my family so we can share it so when we can share the Tahoe, then I'm buying a 2018 dodge Challenger.
