    I just put this on my P365xl and I love the smooth trigger now! I didn’t like the edgy trigger creep it had before. I just wish the kit was closer to $50 instead of $100 without the flat trigger.
    My trigger pull is still between 4.5-5 lbs though, not down to 3.8.
    The nice thing about this kit is it has 4 components, pretravel, overtravel, trigger break(3 options), and trigger safety spring reduction. You can install all of them, one of them, or any combination to see how you like it. And you can put it all back to factory later if desired.
    If you’re thinking about it, watch the install video to make sure you’re comfortable doing it and have the necessary tools and good lighting.
    Then be sure you do all of the safety checks as documented and shown in the install video, and then check your trigger pull weight. If it’s too light, switch back to the heavier factory safety spring.
    Also, this kit does not change the striker spring so there is no risk of lighter primer strikes.

    I personally did not hate, dislike, or otherwise have an opinion on my P365 stock trigger. That being said, I also did not know you could swap it out. Also I’m an absolute beginner at shooting pistols. I’m also not a very good shot past 20 yards. I somehow stumbled across Mcarbo flat trigger and spring replacement kit. Took me two days to do the installation, I would never had attempted it without their video. Anyway I instantly became significantly more accurate with this pistol. Worth it worth it worth it!!!

    I must not be a trigger connoisseur. The stock trigger on my P365XL is great. Zero complaints.

    • @Banksi
      @Banksi 2 роки тому +11

      These triggers usually add such a minor improvement, it's just not worth it for most people. I think it's just a matter of being bored and finding something to do to play with your gun.

    • @1001Hobbies
      @1001Hobbies 2 роки тому +1

      @@Banksi - I view it like a clutch on a car. The clutch feels different on every car. You drive it for a while and become accustomed to it, and it becomes "normal," and perfect because it is so familiar. I cannot imagine there being a "perfect clutch feel" that is viewed as a standard, and every other clutch being compared to that, and if the other clutches don't feel exactly like that, well, then that clutch is crap. This is a ridiculous notion. All of the triggers on my guns are perfect. I pull them and they fire when I want them to. I am used to how each one feels.
      I don't understand how trigger connoisseurs came about.

    • @btsoc1397
      @btsoc1397 2 роки тому +3

      @1001Hobbies ehhh. Most modern stock triggers are fine. With that said, it's well proven and documented that a good trigger (weight, hard wall, crisp clean break, and short reset) actually do make a difference in accuracy and speed, even with good shooters. It's like an old-school long clutch in an old pickup truck vs a short throw clutch in a sports car, you don't realize the benefit until you actually use one. Sure the old school clutch is "good enough", but you wouldn't want to be racing with one. I encourage you to shoot a good trigger side by side with one of your stock triggers, it make a world of difference, mostly with the feel and predictably of the gun, but also accuracy as well.
      I had the same argument with my ar15. The milspec triggers are fine, they're actually decent for a stock trigger. It wasn't until I was shooting my stock trigger side by side with buddies set up with a 2 stage geissele and another with single stage Timney that I left all my prior ignorance behind about triggers and said "yeah, I can see why you paid to have these put in". A week later, I threw in a Timney trigger into my gun.

    • @btsoc1397
      @btsoc1397 2 роки тому +1

      @1001Hobbies oh, and some trigger are absolutely horrible and will most definitely effect your accuracy. Take the Beretta micro mini for example. Shooting that next to my sig 365, they're similar size and both have good accurate barrels, but the Beretta has an ungodly horrible trigger making me shoot more than twice as good with my 365.

    • @1001Hobbies
      @1001Hobbies 2 роки тому +2

      @@btsoc1397 - Thanks for the thoughtful comments. Certainly, triggers which are at extremes, (gritty, spongy, very long pull, etc. compared to smooth, short, crisp) will present an obvious preference. And you are right, there is a level of "not knowing what I am missing" with a custom trigger. However, my Grandfather knew a guy who never had to pay for a drink at a bar because he would challenge others to ping pong games for drinks, only he would play against them with a beer bottle instead of a paddle. Of course everyone took the challenge unless they saw him play before. This guy challenged himself not only to be able to play ping pong with a beer bottle but to play as good as he was with a paddle, which was exceptional. This was one of my life lessons; master what you've got to work with because what you want or need may not come along, or not soon enough. If you don't have the best thing, it just takes a little more effort to achieve the same result. Growing up this way, not having the best "thing" has never been a short coming for me. ;)

    when i hit the wall i expect a break not another 1/8 to 1/4 inch of over travel. this is with the set screw fulling dialed right
    i dont like the slanted trigger as in this video curved or flat for me.

    Yes, I agree p365 or the XL which I carry are not not the best triggers but does not impede accuracy whatsoever. They’re good triggers for ccw. Personally, Unless you’re shooting competitions you shouldn’t modify your trigger too light. You just need to practice and shoot them. Triggers can get better over time or learn to take them apart and polish the internal trigger parts.

    • @gmenendez9569
      @gmenendez9569 2 роки тому +4

      I’m in agreement also. It looks sweet and particularly I care about over travel so you can reset and shoot faster in a self-defense situation. The short pre-travel can be a liability in a self-defense situation which can be life altering. Concerning self-defense you might want some space before you actually make the decision that you NEED to pull the trigger. Many, many times violence is stopped and laser saved by simply keeping the criminal at gun point. This is a critical stat that crushes gun control advocates but isn’t mentioned enough. What most shooters don’t understand is that the supporting hand needs to really VICE the gun so even if you slap the trigger you will have combat accuracy. Again, I would like to shorten the reset for faster shooting but I’m not going to buy the kit and just continue to “polish” my weapon. If the would sell these pieces separately 🤔

    • @Osprey1994
      @Osprey1994 7 місяців тому

      @gmenendez9569 Not sure what you crackheads are talking about with pretravel. You're finger shouldn't be in the trigger guard unless you are going to shoot. Get your stinkin' booger hooks out of there unless you plan to stop a threat.
      Train to go from completely off the trigger, to breaking the shot without disturbing your sights. Then you don't have to worry about short pre-travel.

    I looked at the videos on Tactical Triggers' website, and I have a concern. Specifically, when the trigger is pulled after the VERY short reset, it sounds distinctly like a soft strike to me. It doesn't sound like a nice solid, snappy strike. So my concern is that this trigger kit weakens the striker itself to the point where one MIGHT at some point encounter functional issues related to soft strikes. This is my guess as a lifetime shooter and someone who knows polymers inside and out. I have not read or heard of this happening to anyone, but I won't be buying the kit for this reason. I don't need THAT much modification in terms of overtravel - and I mean, this kit all but ELIMINATES overtravel altogether by inserting a brace into the working parts of the gun to block the trigger from moving backwards beyond a certain point. It's a very simple solution to reducing overtravel (pretravel is handled in the same way), which is why I'm surprised at how much this kit costs ($150). You get a couple bits of metal, a few springs and a flat trigger.

    • @bobbygetsbanned6049

      Does it replace the striker spring? I'd never replace with a lighter/weaker striker spring in a carry gun. The Mcarbo has the option to replace the stiker spring and people have said it caused malfunctions for them. Ok for a taciticol gun but not a carry pistol.

    The weight of a striker fired trigger is an essential part of the safety. Many legs and feet have been shot in the pursuit of a better trigger. Play it safe. If you want the perks of a 1911 trigger just accept the drawbacks. And if you want the perks of higher capacity and no thumb safety then accept the drawback of a less impressive trigger pull. Can’t have your cake and eat it. IMO

      What about one with a manual safety (Sig P365)? Does the tactical trigger have any safety drawbacks then?

      @@anonypersona3189 A light trigger is a light trigger with or without the safety. I have a safety on my 365XL. It's not a be-all-end-all. The issue isn't just accidentally shooting yourself while un-holstering or holstering. It's firing a round when you didn't want to fire, while under stress. I've never been in a gunfight, I never want to be in one. I've trained to get my heartrate way up and adrenaline going to simulate stress, and when you shoot like that it is extremely difficult to concentrate. You fumble around. You lose focus. Why anyone would want a lighter pound trigger pull in that condition defies all logic to me. A gun is a last resort. Pulling the trigger is the final step of that last resort. Things can go FUBAR fast but why are you giving yourself less time to make the most critical decision you will ever need to make?

      @@Palo_Duro Because when you draw and click off that safety, you mean to fire. Why make it harder on yourself? I'm not going to draw a gun unless I need to fire it.

      @@anonypersona3189 Right, and the 1911 has remained popular for more than a century because it's so hard on the user?

      @@Palo_Duro I hear ya dude haha. I took the safety out of my XL and installed a Mcarbo spring kit, tactical trigger kit and did a good polish on the internals. I carry appendix and have done thousands of draws and shot thousands of rounds at training courses without the thought of shootin myself in the dick. Just keep your fuckin finger off the trigger until you clear the holster and look while reholstering. Some people just get caught up in stuff that is easily avoided. Train smart 🤙🏼🇺🇸

    You’re not great at showing the trigger break and reset.. once it hits the wall, they have to slowly pull the trigger back.. that’s where you see the “mush” or “creep”.. when you just hit the wall and then squeeze past the creep real fast, you can’t even tell how much creep there is.. and with stick sig triggers, there is a little bit of creep.. same with the reset, you slowly let up on the trigger so you can see where the reset is compared to were the break is.. with stock sig triggers, there is a decent amount of travel, and then you hit the wall around 90 degrees and then there is still a little more creep past the wall, then it breaks… then when letting up to find the reset, you’ll notice it takes a little bit to get to the reset and the reset is past where the break is.. it’s also smart to show that once the trigger breaks, then you pay attention to how much over travel there is after the break.. you want trigger to not move any further after the break.. a bad trigger will have more space after the break before you can’t move it anymore.. just a note from somebody looking for good reviews, it’ll make your videos better if people can actually get a good review of the trigger in the guns you’re showing

    Ok… now the actual original triggers in the 365 line are horrendous. The feel and sound after the break makes my skin crawl.
    They have a “plasticy rubbery boing” sound also. Like a clown gun that shoots out a ballon or whatever.
    I don’t get it 🤷‍♂️
    I’m getting a 365 XL as an incentive through my store. Going to throw the macro grip module and this trigger FOR SURE!!
    Great vid🤘

    This is scary for carry…not for defense in my opinion. A prosecutor will tear you a new ass in court.
