I have tried both in a tub that was horribly scratched and had chipped enamel in the corners. The roll on Tough as Tile takes like 3-6 months probably to dry solid where pools up in the bottom of tub. The spray on kind takes about 2-4 weeks to dry solid. The fumes are worse with roll/brush on kind of Homax Tough as Tile. But it is cheaper and less work than replacing a tub, sink, or tiles. I used boat Hull cleaner that's hydrochloric acid solution to clean and acid etch the surface I'm going to paint first. Then rinse for a least a half hour. Then dry with paper towels and give it a final rub down with paper towels and rubbing alcohol. It seems to work extra well.

Hi there! You DIY turned out great! I'm wondering how many cans you would have needed if you had just done this job with the cans of paint instead of using the spray paint?

Thank you! And I'm not sure but the can should say what the coverage would be.

Looks great! How many cans of paint did it take? Do you think one would have done all three coats?

It took 1 can of spray paint for 1 coat. And I barely used much of the paint can for the last two coats. The paint can definitely goes a lot further.

    Hello,
Does the “can” have the same smell as the “spray”

Yes it does but the spray can creates stronger fumes and can't be as easily "contained" as the can.

Would you recommend this for shower tiles?
